CoD4 Last mission badass shooting out of a moving car MW2 Speedboat driving and shooting. MW3 Fighting a full hotel in a juggernaut suit and playing as price.
It was very odd you took control of soap in mw2, but he never says a word of dialogue. I was kind of surprised he did not, cause they finally gave him a voice actor and you already know what he looks like.
In my opinion yuri's death was sadder than soaps because he gave his life to save price and kill makarov and I'm the end to end WW3. Soaps was sad because we all came to love him
In CoD4 Last mission, Soap killed Zakhaev with pistol. In MW2 Last mission, Soap killed Shepherd throwing the knife. And MW3 Last mission, Price killed Makarov by hanging. I think CoD wants to say, Time goes by ,the technology developed. But, 'The behavior killing people is The primitive Thing'.

After all the close friends that died, killing Makarov brought an end to everything. This last fight was for Soap, Ghost, Roach, Sandman, Grinch, Truck, Yuri, the 141, and everyone who passed on from the wars. Never will there be another Modern Warfare like this series.

That "objective completed" was so perfect for that moment and always stick out to me. It's something we're so used to seeing or probably don't even notice when playing these games but here it was a great addition.
Knowing that was it. The war may have been over, but the real war wasn't over. Makarov still needed to be killed, and after we hung him from his neck the real war had ended.

And the fact that this is where Modern Warfare's story ended ended (instead of getting some extra plot, excluding the reboot) is deserved. This game had its flaws, but the original Modern Warfare series had a good run.

Very very small (yet gruesome) detail that gets skipped. When you get hanged and your neck snaps, you still have a brief few seconds of consciousness, albeit you’re paralyzed. You’re still alive. Those 30 seconds between Makarov being hung at 10:08 and the “Objective Complete” at 10:38 was pure suffering for him. Nice detail from Infinity Ward

The thing is ever since Titanfall came out Call of Duty has been copying futuristic military games like Halo. I miss the old Call of Duty where you get to use C4, grappling hooks, modern day weapons, and even call for air support. But for me, the best part of the old Call of Duty games is that you can fight with the tanks or pilot a tank. Now we're stuck with giant robots and space jets. I wish the new call of duty games would have us fight with tanks or pilot tanks.
The amount of homage this pays to the 'No Russian' mission is crazy. In MW2, you play as PVC Allen alongside Makarov and the rest of his men slowly walking through an airport mowing down defenseless civilians and security with LMGs. In MW3, you play as Price fighting alongside Yuri slowly walking through a hotel mowing down Makarov's almost defenseless men with LMGs. The amount of irony that Makarov was served here was nothing short of genius. We really have that man a taste of his own medicine.
And the gears are reversed, in no russian you start with the m240, an American machine gun, whilst in Dust to Dust you start with the pkp, a Russian machine gun
Makarov arrogantly boasted how he'll find Price and eventually destroy what's left of him and the world. Little did he know he got more than he had bargained for.

this mission is perfect, you're a juggernaut, you mow down everyone, shoot down heli's, You play as Price, Chase and Kill Makarov, Watch him hang and lit a cigar...but one more thing...you character actually talks
This mission is like the anti No Russian. Both start on a black screen with the sound of armor being put on and guns being loaded, when the reinforcements show up in both missions there’s a line of “they’re right on schedule”, there’s moments where you climb up escalators in both missions, and the more obvious similarity is that in both missions you mow down waves of enemies with an LMG.
STILL one of the most satisfying kills in FPS history. I remember getting to the last stage, and when I saw the Objective of the stage, I was like, "Oh, I've been WAITING to murder this motherfucker for what he did to my squad."

Everyone is talking about how the voice lines are badass but I never see anyone talk about the music, it fits so well and the fact this moment is built up from all the way from the start of mw2 and killing the man who started ww3 and the end result is so satisfying and sad at the same time knowing price a lost virtually everyone to get to this moment making it a somewhat bitter sweet ending
Yuri is so underrated I really love his character overall and he died the best way and most emotionally way possible. I liked him too much and i felt really bad for him when he saved price and died. Rip Yuri and other good characters

I really love the way they potray Price killing Makarov, he could had just Choke him to Death or something, but he decide to go for the other option, one that will kill him for sure, he knew that he will fall with him, but at this point Price doesn't even care, he's gonna bring him down with him and make sure to end it all
The mission name is so cool to me. Loading into the mission after my hard work just seeing ‘Dust to Dust’ was so satisfying And just to plow through a bunch cops and bad guys with armour and machine guns to finally hang the leader from the top of a burning skyscraper sending him through the damn roof was so cool

The “objective complete” is such a symbolic way to conclude the trilogy. Makarov was always the main target even back in COD4 when we thought zakhaev was the main villain makarov was always in the background pulling the strings

What's really chilling about Makarov is that he acts like causing WW3 and countless deaths was just another job and that it's no big deal that it didn't go as planned, now he'll just kick back, get away with it and plan his next gig.
the way the music drops as Price says "This is for Soap" and bursts out of the truck was the coolest thing ten year old me had seen when I played this game for the first time a decade ago. What a fabulous and over the top ending.

Price is so badass he doesn't immediately become a mute as soon as you assume control of him like all the other Modern Warfare playable characters do.
Soap talked so much when we weren't playing as him but as soon as we started playing as soap, he became mute again. Same goes for Yuri
Yuri speaks in MW3 as a playable character.

Fucking hell, this was so intense. The music, the way Price says 'For Soap.' You can literally feel the emotions running through the game. The MW series will probably be the best CoD series ever. Gonna miss it :(

Everyone is talking about how the voice lines are badass but I never see anyone talk about the music, it fits so well and the fact this moment is built up from all the way from the start of mw2 and killing the man who started ww3 and the end result is so satisfying and sad at the same time knowing price a lost virtually everyone to get to this moment making it a somewhat bitter sweet ending
Yuri is so underrated
I really love his character overall and he died the best way and most emotionally way possible.
I liked him too much and i felt really bad for him when he saved price and died.

I really love the way they potray Price killing Makarov, he could had just Choke him to Death or something, but he decide to go for the other option, one that will kill him for sure, he knew that he will fall with him, but at this point Price doesn't even care, he's gonna bring him down with him and make sure to end it all

The “objective complete” is such a symbolic way to conclude the trilogy. Makarov was always the main target even back in COD4 when we thought zakhaev was the main villain makarov was always in the background pulling the strings
R.I.P gaz, griggs, Vasquez, Jackson, 30,000 Marines, Allen, ghost, Roach, harkov, Griffin, soap, Sandman, Grinch, Truck, and Yuri. Many of our heroes died, we will be missed 😢😢😢

What's really chilling about Makarov is that he acts like causing WW3 and countless deaths was just another job and that it's no big deal that it didn't go as planned, now he'll just kick back, get away with it and plan his next gig.
