Evening Peter, long before I could drive, the bus from Dundee offeref access to the Sidlaws. Nice and safe for a young boy to explore on his own. Later Grouse and Pheasant beating let me explore different areas of the Sidlaws, so thank you for traveling from your home to let me visit again my walks from over sixty years ago from my arm chair in Somerset.

Nice one Peter, lovely colourful walk with all the gorse in bloom. That looked like a prison through the gloom on top of the third one 😂 Aye typically clears when you're back doon. Take care, mate. Mick.

My local hills. I tend to do Auchterhouse and Balkello then head back down because Craigowl's a smidge boring and that Doppler station (not TV transmitter) is an eyesore when you're up there - still do it two or three times a year mind. There's another hill to do to complete The Sidlaws if you haven't done it - Kinpurney Hill - and if you do it from that same car park it's a great walk over. Boring if you go from Newtyle mind

Hi Peter. Always looking for some alternative lower level walks that I'll be allowed to do 😅! Thanks for giving me a hike to think about. Shame about the views. Always the way.
PS, up Dumyat both yesterday AND this morning. Trying to find out if I've anything left in the tank as I begin my 70th year 😬!!!
