    My friends modern 4 stroke bikes always overheat, require A LOT of servicing, break A LOT and always need the valves done. Rebuilds are pretty common as well. My 09 drz with a after market exhaust is more reliable than 450's, requires 1/4 the servicing and only JUST gets beaten to top speed and on the trails by a 450. Would NEVER swap my drz for a new 450.

    Great video guys.
    Also, If i was to buy a bike and I am 172.5cm (5ft7.5") and I found Aprilia pegaso 650Trail very comfortable for my height and it's not a heavy bike for me to go around the city and to the bush. So, which bike should i go for, Suzuki DRE650, 400 or the Pegaso 650Trail?
    Any suggestion welcome.

    Addition and subtraction functions? Who needs that on a dirt bike?

    I have a 2010 drz 400 and the bike bike did lack traction but it wasn,t the tyres it was the suspension. Spung to your weight and revalved and shimed also a 3mm lenghten on the rear shock the bike hooked up better with a bald tyre than before with a brand new one. i also put on 1 1/2 inch bar raisers and pro taper r/c high and set them a little forward(total around 3 to 4 inchs taller). now the bike is a different machine and super easy to ride.

    @meda789 pretty much impossible to pop the cluch to start it unless you have tons of grip and a good hill to push it down

    Lol, good comment! I sold my XR650R which was motarded, it was absolutely awesome with pipe and jets, Excel rims and Talon hubs, huge brakes, but the kick start sucked so bad I sold it. I would've kept it for ever otherwise. Bought a 2011 DRZ400E on road and I just love it too. It's missing 250cc BUT goes well, is light and the "fun factor" is off the dial. Not motarding this one, love it just as it is, have a few slides on the knobbies every now and then but FUN FUN FUN!! Great value $7200 NEW!

      Wondering if you still have the Drz400?

    It's a trailbike and does everything well, not exceptional, just well. Very capable in the scrub, but you have to spend big dollars if you want it to go anything like an enduro bike like a CRF, WR or EXC. They really have taken the place once occupied by the trusty XR's, and are really well priced new.

    whats wrong with the handlebars? and tyres that fair enough they will wear out and u have to change em to wat u want but whats wrong with the handlebars?

  • @goldwing1964
    @goldwing1964 15 ปีที่แล้ว

    Good bike for the price, softer ride and heavier than wr and crfx (no good for jumping). I'm doing a lot of trails now days so I put a 13 front sprocket to have more torque,
    Thinking of buying a crf250x which is lighter than any 400 or 450 on this trails and have good response

    what amazes me on the DRZ400 models is that they are still carburated, nothing wrong but no EFI even on the 2015 models. even the looks remained the same, but maybe it's a compromise for low price and adjustable suspension.

    • @MarchuxProductions
      @MarchuxProductions 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ripmax333 And incredible simplicity. Even if the carb goes wrong, it takes nearly no effort to get it running again.

    • @ripmax333
      @ripmax333 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      but seriously, top brands like suzuki, honda ,yamaha etc..how many they broke down from the EFI. at least me i never heard any

    • @MarchuxProductions
      @MarchuxProductions 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ripmax333 Of course, bikes usually don't break down immediately after purchase, but later down the line a carb means less problems. No computer to mess up, no electrical components to go bad. Plus, a bike like this will get neglected much more than a new 450 or something along the lines of that. This bike must remain a simple, reliable donkey.

    @GodsOfWrestling 450's are race bikes, also have a lower top speed, and the drz will easily hit top speed in a quarter, i do it on mine all the time haha. It woulda been great to see, i definantly know what theyre talking about with the front tire, mines a little worn (new back) and i cant keep it hooked up for anything on gravel, just washes out all the time

    Love the way these two have absolutely the dumbest points of view and total lack of ability to explain the bikes features without always going the negative on it. Man this is a not a race bike, not a motorcross bike, not an ultra high performance bike they say. It is a great design, well engineered and time tested and proven FUN machine, totally reliable and very affordable.Good real world bike
