As always, stunning images - these look like a surprise hit!!
@@EdProsser thanks Ed!! Appreciate your comment! And yeah nicer than expected
Great video! such stunning images.. Honestly I trust your opinion more because Taylor and you shoot better than 99% of TH-camrs
Best looking reviews going around on TH-cam atm. Bravo team! 🔥
@@matsufotos thank you so much!’
I want to see these compared to the Dulens APO Mini Primes
These are AMAZING 😍😍😍 great job with those images 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much!!
Damn!!!! Gunna cancel the Pyxis PL Pre-order and just cop a set of these for my fx3! 😮
Wait… did you use an E mount to L mount adapter, or did they send you guys an M mount version and you used an M to L converter?
I’m wondering because I don’t want wiggle when adjusting focus.
(I also shoot L mount)
We got prototype M-Mount versions. It was just the Urth M to L adaptor we had was a dud. The Urth M to RF and E mount we had was fine. IMO cinema lenses with native / non swappable or non-adaptable mirrorless mounts are a less attractive long term investment. But each to their own!
@@ShaneVanLitz yeah I would probably get the m mount and adapt to whatever system I’m running
@@CartyCantDance we used the M mount version! We just had crappy adapters! The e mount one didn’t wiggle the L mount one did. Don’t buy urth adapters! Apparently the Voigtländer ones are much better!
We have told DZO to make some cine lock ones!
You can create some amazing images, wow!
@@Marvnz thank you! 🙏
Where can I get those lens caps you used on the step up rings for your Matte box? I assume they are 95mm.
They come in multiple sizes. Just buy a spare or two IMO because they're pretty cheap. I think out of the 6 I've ordered 1 came a bit loose. All the rest have been fine and as I say they're very affordable. You can either get letter / post box number stickers or engrave the numbers depending how much effort you want to put in. I currently have stickers but I'm thinking about engraving for my Sigma Arts: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002570082474.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.10.53d51802UFtXzQ
Great video! What camera did you shoot these tests on? Thanks.
Sony FX3 and LUMIX BS1H.
@@willvazquez3218 yeah mostly fx3 but some BS1H also !
Any edge smearing when adapting the m-mount? M-mount for sure otherwise.
@@Millistration not that we noticed!
Only E mount ? Erff.
@@mica.motion other mounts are coming! We had a prototype M mount version which can be adapted to anything mirrorless
@@TheFilmGuyOfficial It's fullframe ?
@@mica.motion yeah full frame
@@mica.motion yes
No PL mount, no dice. If that changes in the future, no-brainer.
Mirrorless lenses have shorter flange depth than PL mount can physically accommodate. LPL might be a possibility, or at least more / changable / adaptable mounts like M-Mount.
I just want L mountttttt
@@thatsreallyamoon it might come eventually but the m mount version is apparently coming and you can adapt to l mount
@@TheFilmGuyOfficial yep I heard, but I don’t like adapting. I want a solid connection between the lens and the camera with no more weight or parts than needed. Would really make a killer compact cinema kit with the original Lumix S5.
They don't make PL mounts on purpose? Any lens will move in the mount if there is no lock! These are clearly not cinema lenses because there is no PL mount!
I don't think these would work on PL mounts. We used the M mount versions, which may or may not come to market, but they adapt to anything mirrorless.
I expressed that they need to bring out locking m-mount adapters for it to be viable for pro users.
You only have to worry about the lens jiggling if you use an amateur camera, if you use a professional camera like the Sony Burano or the Venice, the e-mount locks down the lens. It also locks down the lens on the FX9. You can always use a matte box on rails to clamp down the lens so it doesn’t jiggle.
@@willvazquez3218 that is a very broad statement, the komodo, the fx6,the c400, the bs1h all lack a locking lens mount, but id call them all professional grade cameras.
Optically these are impossible to make PL mount
