This was REALLY good - I had all the ingredients - except I only had bok choy and pak choy that really needed to be used, figured "what the heck, it's not a tattoo" and it turned out delicious, hubby gave it a big thumbs up too. Boiling the garlic is a brilliant touch. Looking forward to making this again with napa cabbage. Thanks Helen!!

I love kimchi but I definitely try this because my hubby can't eat spicy foods, I'm sure he will gonna love this. Thanks for sharing this, love your videos. Keep it up
Thanks! Follow the expiration date on the container. I keep mine in the fridge as I eat through it. I also have a recipe on making SsamJang that uses DoenJang. You can use this sauce with rice and fried egg…so yummy! Type in ‘SsamJang’ on my channel’s search box. It is the NEW recipe
Thanks for ur comment🙏. As for the background music, I understand if this is not ur preference. Totally fair! But I cannot change my post-production to satisfy one or a few individual’s personal preference. Again, it is totally fair that you are not a fan of background music. Perhaps, watch it with closed captioning or I’m sure you can find other YT channels that suit all ur preferences. Thanks again for the comment and visiting my channel🙏
*HELEN* - Love your recipes but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get rid of the background distracting music! I managed to get through this recipe by turning off the sound and reading the subtitles but gosh, these videos would be SO much better without the annoying unnecessary music. My comment is sent with positive intentions, and I hope you accept it as such. Cheers from Sydney.

I wouldn't expect you to change anything post production - I can just imagine MANY hours of work are needed to polish and post a video. I just hope you might consider my comment going forward. You have a great presentation style but the music doesn't enhance it! And yes, there are other lovely Korean cooks on YT but you are such fun and 'neighbourly' to watch that I want to keep watching you!! The closed captions threw up a few hilarious interpretations BTW so I had no choice but to listen, so CC is not the solution either - darn it. Cheers!! @@ModernPepper

🙏YES! You can make this dish with Young Napa cabbage, too, called PputBaeChu 풋배추, similar to bok choy but with longer leaves

Just a question - do you think this salad would last a few days in the refrigerator?
This looks so good!!! How long does doenjang last in it's container in the frig? I would like it with rice and fried egg!

Hy i'm malayalali 🙋🏻♀️
Would Bok choi be a suitable substitute for the napa cabbage?
Yes, you can substitute BokChoy but it will not be as ‘sweet’ tasting and juicy as Napa Cabbage. But give it a try, I say.
