Do anyone of Greenline owners use green pad? We have bought green pad togehter with our boat, but we still have not it :( Green line produces still promise us to give it as soon as possible, but we have only 1,5 year of promises and no green pad :(

This manufacturer seems to have everybody fooled. Fuel prices keep rising, so naturally there has been a surge in the demand for more efficient motorboats. There are solar panels on part of the top, but not all of it. Why? Because they would block the electrically operated sunroof. To make a real difference, the panels should cover not only the entire top, but the forward cabin as well. They could be made durable enough to walk on, if that were the issue. There are far too many electric motors pulling load for people who have really no concept of the normal activities of yachting. The anchor is automatic, controlled from the wheelhouse. This is another electric motor that could pull large amps under various and not abnormal conditions. When placed under stress, an unmonitored winch can burn out pretty easily. When I'm using one, I want to be right there with it, not twenty feet away with my butt in a comfy seat. Why electric? I thought this was a "GREEN" boat! It should be manual, or at the very least, hydraulic, along with that snazzy drop-down transom which also utilizes an electric motor, I think. The transom could be easily turned to manual by employing some very inexpensive gas pistons and a concealed hand crank. The real "payoff" is when they went to the 40, just seven more feet over the sweet little 33...they went and added another engine! Wow...now THAT'S really "green". Instead, they could have used a single engine and maybe an emergency auxiliary. I see a great lack of creativity here, and a manufacturer who wants to sell "green" to people who still, deep down, want to race the hell out of those gas hog bleach bottles. As for you so-called motorboat experts who go to the boat shows and smile for the camera, you should get out and talk to some old salts who might know something that you don't. Time to be responsible about a potential revolution in powerboat efficiency.

dale3798 Study the boat, hybrid electric properties and uses more. Considering, using the diesel engines regenerate the batteries is a plus, you can run the electric from the solar panels intake. I think its safe to say its green compared to your common cruiser. Also up front under the chain hatch there is a remote for the winch.

+dale3798 lol No doubt. I think there are lots of people that don't realize a boat this size gets a few miles per gallon. The solar panels on top aren't going to get it very far under battery/solar power. This is essentially a diesel electric drive. You run the diesels to power the electric drive motor. They call it a "hybrid" only because the batteries are connected to the drive motor. That's like using the starter motor in your car to get across the street & then calling it a hybrid.

Couldn't agree more, what a joke, you'd be lucky to run the fridge on that solar panel.

+Terry Tytula the panel is like 10'x15'. the boat is meant to run on fuel, with like an hour on batteries I believe. Not really cost effective overall.. but greener depending on usage.
