- Week 3 in Scotland, I find myself in the beautiful little village of Glencoe, famous for mountain climbing and its wild beauty. I was so fortunate to be there for the rutting season and see the autumn color's emerging. I spent a lot of my time learning about the history such as the Glencoe Massacre and the birch of mountain climbing in the area.

Beckie, thank you for the LNT break down. What your experiencing is happening all over the world on the trails. New hikers all over the world who are not aware of the damage they are doing to our natural resources. Thank you!
Thanks Becky for showing the Amazing Scotland.
Stay amazing Beck! Much love thrown your way🌟👍🏻
Thank you! You too!
Always leave somewhere as you expect to find it ..its called respect!! well done again Becky
You can never over emphasise the Leave no Trace ethos, well done and keep banging the drum, so we can all enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Hello Becky,
Well said regarding "leave no trace"
Take care
Paul,,
Finally got the time to watch this episode. Looks like you're doing great and on the whole, should probably just move up here. You'll make an excellent addition to the Clan. ❤🏴
Verry good to do this outdoors in nature, really renews the spirit!
🙌🌾🌳🌻🍃🐞
Would love to see Scotland, maybe someday. Absolutely love what your family is doing with life.
The green lichen on the trees shows the purity of the air around.
What an incredible spot. Brilliant!
Great video Becky, It’s a treat to hear someone reminding people to leave no trace in our beautiful countryside.Take only pictures and leave only footprints. Keep up the good work. I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas. 🎄
Thank you! You too :)
This was wonderful, Beckie. Scotland is beautiful. The rain on your tent sounds soothing.
thank you!
Lovely, peaceful video. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice video ,Becky ,, Thank you for being my tour guide and the lesson of Scotland's lands and lore ..
Your interest for other cultures is wonderful ,and to learn of the history of the areas is So important so that the hardships and struggles can be
Foreseen not to be repeated ...
These cultural travels are so very interesting ,, maybe in the future you can persuade Louise to join you ... I think the perspective of differing thoughts would be very interesting .. not to mention the personal safety of another .. I'm sure you are staying aware of surroundings and that with the required distancing everywhere unwanted approaches are very obvious .... We just don't want anything to happen to our Beautiful International Tour Guide ... Thank You so much for sharing your experience on trail in a very beautiful location ....
..... Stay Safe and God Bless .....
thank you for your comment, take care :)
Becky, I grew up and lived until I was 50 in Kent and the South East, I have lived in Southern Scotland for the last 15 years, Follow your heart and move up as soon as you can, even the hills of Southern Scotland and North Northumberland are wonderful and the people are so friendly. Thanks so much! 😊
Great video Becky! Those were vey positive comments you made about Scotland. Take care.
I've been to Glencoe without knowing what to expect - it was a detour from the West Highland Way, because we run out of food. It turned out to be a very good ideea. It was quiet, with very good looking houses. I took a lot of pictures. We've stayed in the camping (one of the best), went to the Lost Valley, hitch-hiked the way back to our small tents. I've been to that Village Hall too (with Himalayan things). I have great memories about that place. It's also the place where I've lost my headlamp, but I don't mind :)
Ah amazing, it was fate pulling you to see that lovely village :)
I'm so pleased you have enjoyed my country and shown me places I haven't been in decades. Sorry about the weather at times.
Lovely video......yo7 got in just before the winter weather....!
Thank you. Heartened about your joyful journey!
Thanks so much for making people aware I do believe it’s about educating people, 🌍💚leave no trace 🏴 x
You are my tour guide. I agree so much about littering, hate it! When the pandemic is over, I want to visit some of the places you’ve covered. Thanks girl!🥑
Thank you Tom!
Awesome traveling becky ,,, love do that in camper cheers chris & sam
Thank you Chris and Sam :)
Scenic for certain! Plus, you demonstrate the usefulness of your shelter.
It sure was James, yes I would be nothing without that!
Oooo, that pub food looked proper nice!!!....great video!!
Thank you Simon!
Hi Becks. I've read a fair bit on Scottish History & The Glencoe massacre, The Jacobite rebellion with Bonnie Prince Charlie & The Highland Clearances are all worth learning about - fascinating & tragic stuff. I've absolutely loved your Scottish videos & it must have been an amazing experience xx
Amazing history! Aw thank you Michael :)
I’ve decided to hike The West Highland way next year because of your videos. Thanks for the inspiration 👋
aw amazing! I hope it goes really well :)
Great video Becky. Your videos really cheer me up :)
I wish my wife was as interested in camping as I am! Or your are. Still though, she tags along without grumbling. I need to watch more of your videos as I love them! I’ve always camped x
Great that you did a bit of a talk about Nepal. This exhibition visits Scotland regularly but I have never been in the right place at the right time to go and see it. Such adaptable and resourceful people from one of the poorest countries in the world. Somebody at work once came up to me and said he was doing the Everest Base Camp trek and would I sponsor. I said yes, but I did say that you have to find out and tell me what your organisation is doing for the Nepali people. In particular whether any of the money goes into building roads, schools and hospitals in Nepal and whether the porters have warm clothing provided for them and the same food and medical care as the trekkers from wealthy western countries. I know a farming couple who did it and they said that the porters had to sleep outside under blankets while the trekkers had tents and warm sleeping bags - which the porters had carried and put up for them. Also that if one of the porters is sick or injured and has to be invalided out of the trek, they don't get paid and another porter from the same village also has to drop out to help them get back home. Some of the trekking companies are up front about what they do to benefit the Nepali people but sadly not all of them.
Last time I stayed in Glencoe I stayed in a rented cottage. When the owner got wind that I want to move to Scotland she said she was about to retire and sell up. Quite seriously would I buy her cottage!
Living the life. Good for you, Becky.👍🙂🏴
thank you! Take care
Absolutely terrific views up Glencoe Great vid by you Becky, . Have`nt been camping up that way for years. This vid brought back a lot of memories. I need to get back out soon.. Thank you for this, and making me know, i need to get "Back out". Take care, stay safe . #Leaveknowtrace

I would love to see Scotland. My great Grandmother was a MacDonald.
A lot of Scots settled in Ulster hence Ulster\scot was born, a lot of McDonald's here
This is such an American thing to say
Saw your closing comment, heading to the lost valley......go to the end, and up top. You wont regret it 😁
Great video! I love how you enjoy nature, but also visit local culture. Well done!
Thank you!
Merry Christmas, Becky. Many more to come for you . . .
Thank you Drew, merry christmas also :)
As a Scot I formally give you permission to say wee whenever you blooming want 🤣 when you love our wee country the way you do, you get to say wee whenever you like. 💕💕💕
Well done , Glencoe is so atmospheric. Done a lot of solo stuff and its really nice to meet folk which is easier on your own. Like you I loved Scotland so much I moved up here. BTW try not to tell everyone. Unfortunately we're not the only place where campers leave their crap I had similar experience in Portugal.
Beautiful of nature in life
Wow! Getting close to 100k! So stoked for you.
aw thank you Peter!
That was such a great and interesting vlog Becky. I love Scotland, ( my Dad was Scottish) I am always so happy when I am there, and as you say its that feeling of wildness and close to nature. So glad you had a wonderful time in Glen Coe x
Glencoe looks beautiful. Think it's about an hour from me. Never been but now on my list to do. Being from Wales it's good to watch these videos. Brilliant keep it up.🥰
Beer and Haggis in Glencoe. Doesn't get any better than that Becks. Great video :-) TY

Hi Becky enjoyed your vid as always! Glencoe was the name of my elementary school in Montreal, QC
Love it you are brilliant!
amazing area to be at.
It sure was!
Great spot to camp there and it has wonderful view 😀
Very nice! Pack it in/pack it out/Leave the area like you found it!
thank you, couldn't agree more :)
I enjoy your videos very much!
Was planning to my one of my dream hikes, the Annapurna circuit this year but had too shelve the idea. Hopefully i can tick it of the list next year. Great job on emphasising the importance of leave no trace, if bigfoot can do it so can we.
Glencoe is one of my favourite places to camp. Accidentally climbed Buachaille Etive Mor thinking it was the path to the hidden valley this year.
Well worth the climb though. Come back early may before the midges and hopefully the Clachaig has live music again!
Haha thats great! Love that :) take care
@@GirlOutdoors also check out the mountain bothy association website for 100+ random bothies across Scotland you can sleep in for free.
Basically abandoned shepherds huts and crofts that are maintained by volunteers.
Looks like a really nice area I really need to check out more of Scotland
Enjoyed that video Becky , thanks .
Well done Becky for bringing up the important subject of leaving no trace and respecting the outdoor environment. I totally agree that this year has been an awful year for the wild camping community. Unfortunately I very much doubt that the people who would benefit the most from your advice and tips are probably not watching or actually interested in following any rules that involve giving the country side the respect it deserves😕Thankfully the majority of people do respect it however and hopefully next year we can return to more normal times when the package holidays are up and running again.
Another lovely little video Becky👏 All the best to yourself, your family and Buster. Happy Christmas and stay safe🙂
Thank you so much, have a love Christmas!
Great trip! Thanks for sharing with us! 🇺🇸
Glad you enjoyed it!
Go Becky.................love your content...watched loads of your vids and I think you are so inspirational to younger and even older people that you should be more hily rated on sociall media........................good job.

I remember doing my army basic training in Glencoe it's a beautiful place( not as nice as Yorkshire of course but still! )
Always a treat! 😉👍🇨🇦🦌🔥🎅🎄🎁
the message ' no hawkers or campbells ' i assume refers to the glencoe massacre .. and well said about leave no trace
Keep up the amazing videos !
Thank you :)

Great video, Girl. Absolutely right about the bad name wild camping is getting and it’s putting all of us in a bad light. It’s such a shame. Well done for highlighting it in such a mature way. Anyway, another inspiring “wee” video 😜. Love it. ATB - Dave
Thank you so much Dave
This looks a lot like the foothills of Alberta, but at night you'd hear the beying of wolves and coyotes. Your camera work is great, that place is beautiful. Have fun making great memories. Take care. 🐾From Wild Rose Country 🌸✌☺
Great vid, cheers
Absolutely LOVE the way you chat, smile and fully enjoy your environment. Not been tempted to get up top through the hidden valley. The views from summit are jawdropping. ...... enjoy. Happy new subscriber 🤪 ( im locked down....not good)

aw thank you!
You’re certainly a ‘ braw wee lassie’ Becky. A very special place in my long mountaineering life is Glencoe. Thanks so much for the message re leaving no trace. I fear that the morons who come to such places just to drink and crap will eventually spoil things for the rest of us who cherish our wild places. Keep up the great videos, brings back great memories for the likes of me and will add to your store of great memories for your own future. By the way the last time I was at the Clachaig Inn Deacon Blue were playing for the evening, a great Scottish band you’re probably too young to remember...?
Aw thanks Frank, glad the video is bringing back some memories. Bet you've got some cracking ones :) No, I haven't heard of them sadly but bet it was a great atmosphere
