Awesome, I'm excited to see how it progresses. Don't really see many full on classic exotic car restorations, it's all either old muscle cars or newer wrecked exotics. I think this is definitely a niche and I'm here for it!
Be careful with how you strip those seats if you're wanting to retain what many folk destroy. Which is the high frequency welded material that is unique to the Esprit S1 & S2. There is a way of retaining it whilst recovering the damaged section of seat material.
@@BeeWildered you may not like it, having seen how many Federal Esprits have been restored, but having gone through a 7 year restoration of a rare RHD Esprit S1 here in the UK where their values are 3x that of the US, the value and uniqueness is in originality. Marcasite interiors are rare these days as it is so fragile. The accompanying nylon upholstery can suffer too. I advised a UK pal living in California when restoring his second S1 after a few Turbo Esprits to retain the high frequency welded central panel and headrests of the seat. His auto trimmer found the beige material and unstitched the panels and rebuilt the seat covering from both new and old panels to great effect. Unfortunately I note that at least one headrest is torn, but I'm sure a solution could be found that is sympathetic to the originality of the car, without having to resort to reupholstering the whole seat as a new item. If originality is desired of course.
This is a really cool project! Great intro video. Good luck on your channel! I've been at it for 56 years and have ~2650 subs. I suspect you'll pass me!
Cool car. Nice little project

Thanks, I'm hoping to retain as much as possible. That's my hope anyway.
