This video is kinda magic, its like a blast from the past. This video was recorded before GTA3 came out, and it really shows how much people loved this game. It puts a smile on my face
GTA V: People still play me so I'm not worried..... I don't even think you're on Xbox Live or PSN. GTA San Andreas: Boy............*Bust out laughing* ((Sorry if I misspelled the name))
I'm just speechless at how much disrespect people give to this game. I mean there has never been a bad gta game and those 9 year olds just think they've played all the games for hours, found all the secrets and have come to the conclusion that 2 sucks and 5 is the best game ever
I love GTA 2 but i hate the PS1 version. Its so watered down both graphically & sound wise its night & day. The PS1 has Longer Load Times Missing vehicles & no fast travel. Missing or outright inferior sound effects & details. Lower Frame Rate Censored language violence and missions such as blood puddles being removed in the ps1 version. No Day/Night option Missing radio stations & music And just outright a bad port. However for people in 1999 who couldnt afford a beefy computer or didnt have one i could see it being the alternative for playing the full game.
@@grumpyguy112 Although at least it has some better mussion design and in the second level the car crusher is close to the save point. So its a bit more fair to play.
I was in 8th grade when this game came out..classic indeed but the kids that where born in 2000 don't know how big in gaming this was and controversial at the time
Coming to this video to show my boyfriend the “original gta”. God the memories. Though, I was waiting for the moment where I would hear “gimme yo money”
What I hate about GTA fans, is that they praise this series to death, but don't recognize GTA 1,2, London, Advance and Chinatown Wars as "real" GTA games.
OH... MY... GOD... I remember playing the hell out of GTA Mission Pack #1 London. I played the hell out of it on my PS1 and my mom could never get me off of the system. Now I officially own all of them. Gta 1 PS1 Gta London 1969 PS1 Gta 2 PS1 Gta 3 PS2 Gta Vice City PS2 Gta San Andreas PS2 Gta Advance Gameboy Advance Gta IV Xbox 360 and PC Gta Chinatown Wars DS and iOS Gta Episodes From Liberty City: TLAD and TBOGT Gta 3 iOS Gta Vice City iOS and Amazon app store Gta San Andreas iOS and Amazon app store and Gta V Xbox 360 and soon to be on PC on March 18! I will always remain a loyal fan to GTA.
i like world of gta 2 more than any other gta games, and its what i mostly wanted them to bring back in 3d world, the Respect meter, car crushers that rewards you with weapons, near futuristic era, electro guns, coolest syndicates like Zaibatsu, SRS scientists and Yakuza, well they did bring Yakuza in Gta 3, still, this was what Gta truly meant to me and i've seen Gta becoming just generic crime simulator after another.
When I was really young, a gaming magazine rated GTA2 very low. That low rating delayed my first time playing GTA for about 1-2 years. Fuck Magazine Articles and their opinions.
It's great watching these reviews, for they were recorded upon the ACTUAL release of the game, so you have a real/genuine opinion, compared to most younger reviewers/jaded vets, after having been exposed to 'newer' gaming titles, with modern graphics.
I can remember myself at the age of 8-9 ( now I am 21) playing this with my friends. It was huge fun back then, and i watch this video with a smile, remembering those classic games MOH, Syphon filter, GTA, CTR and others... They dont make such fun nowadays... Now
Anybody wondering why 1 and 2 weren't ported to mobile? I mean, Most of the classic gta's have been like San Andreas or Vice City, but not one and two? I don't get it.
The first two games were sadly not as popular as the later entries. But yeah, I would have loved to get _GTA 2_ on my Kindle tablet. I wonder though if it's possible for Rockstar to actually port them to mobile devices.
My oldest, earliest memory...was playing this game with my dad on the ps1, even though its a memory which is literally a couple seconds long which was getting electrocuted on the traintracks and being able to see your skeleton as a result, I just turned to my dad in hysterics for some reason...damn that was such a long time ago, that was literally a couple months before Gta III came out, I also remember my first time playing that too. I think Im going to cry.
Well honestly GTA has gotten trashy.. GTA V removed all the key features that made the older ones better.. GTA IV was good and all but coming from San Andreas and then the you could say "dumbed down" game it was pathetic! I much rather would play old GTAs! GTA IV I must admit had amazing multiplayer but it does not compare to GTA SA MultiPlayer!! Search it up it is an amazing game! I did not like GTA IV partly because there was no Planes, Vegetation, one city and all of that while I know the older ones had no Planes, Vegetation and one city coming from San Andreas to GTA IV made IV seem absolutely pathetic! Don't get me started on GTA V, it is just a blood pool of "Crime Families" "Gangs" and the rest when they are a bunch of 7 year olds going "I'm Don Martini, mess with me and I will fuck you up!" Nobody has respect for GTA anymore it seems, all they think of is the graphics no longer the amazing scale, mechanics and the additional content in the older GTAs! I played a good 50 days of gameplay within 3 months so don't say I am a noob at GTA V and I am just complaining because I haven't played it. I have over 20k hours on each GTA apart from the dreadful number 5! I would rather any day an good ole' GTA rather than GTA V, GTA IV was good though.. I REST MY CASE! "All you had to do was follow the damn train, CJ!" - Smoke "You're just a liability CJ!" - Ryder Too all you newbies to the franchise! "I always knew you was a straight busta'."
I remember this game. I also remember the day that I played it for the first time was the day a former friend kicked me out his house and told me to fuck off.
I still wont forget going to the video store with my buddy when we were 9 or 10. We each got a game to rent and this was one of them. Many sleepless night occurred afterwords.
The gang system in GTA2 was great! When gang thrusted you, you could do missions for them & they helped you sometimes, but when they hated you they attacked you on their territory. I really loved it. Too bad they didn't put this on GTA3 or any other GTA game
I would have to say the jump from gta 2 to gta 3 was def the biggest. In just around 2 years the game has basically set the standard for all the upcoming gtas after that.
Good thing I got this in junior high. Everyone was expecting me to go on a shooting spree. But it was prevented! I was excited when I picked this up on Steam, however the controller support is VERY poorly implemented. It would actually be nice to see this updated to todays type of standards. With a map menu, that alone would do wonders in improving gameplay.
I'd go too the auto shops and load up with land mines and drop them on the sidewalk then watch the pedestrians walk over them and fly off the screen. lol Oil slicks and landmines hell yeah!!!!
Wish elements of GTA2 made the transition to more recent games in the Series (some for Single Player others for Online) from vehicle-based weapons (Mines, Oil Slicks, Vehicle Bombs and Machine-Guns - the latter limited to certain rare cars or as mods), futuristic / beta / other weapons (Electro-Gun, Electro Baton, Microwave, Dual Pistol), power-ups (Electro-Fingers, Invisibility, Invulnerability and Cop Bribes) and the classic Hare Krishna / Elvis Imposter pedestrians (along with the usual bonuses or perhaps make the odd group of Elvis Imposters explosive as a countermeasure against being run-over / gunned down all the time).
One of the best games ever made!. I wish that CGR would have showed more of the crazy music and mentioned the multiplicator system and the save system. It costs money to save but it makes sense to pay for it, because the more jobs you accomplish the higher the multiplicator gets, you can get it so high that taxi driving makes you rich and you need a certain ammount of money to beat the stage.. JESUS SAVES!
my first gta, i remeber playing it so much and then when the ps2 came out and i got gta 3 it blew my mind. thats why gta 2 and 3 are still the best in the series in my opinion.

This games is classic
