- Classic Game Room season 1 - December 22, 1999. The boys at CGR review the 1998 Playstation 1 PS1 remake of the classic arcade hit, MISSILE COMMAND. Published by HASBRO, this old school remake of the older school coin-op classic from the early 1980's satisfies with Missile Command-esque action and some goofy CGI graphics. An early episode, this is one of the Game Room's 20th century offerings from December 1999 before they even had a green screen. Classic Game Room was the first classic video game review show on the Internet, and one of the first (maybe the first) video game review show of all times produced specifically for the Internet.
Classic Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation... too bad they didn't get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii. Now Classic Game Room HD is covering the new systems.
Classic Game Room is on DVD.
I love the hilarious music they add to these videos
Hasbro = How’s it been bro?
Thank you for teaching me a new Japanese phrase.
I don't know how he does it, but Mark looks younger now than he did back then.
You guys make a great team.
Anyone notice how the alien ship is one of the little ships from Space Invaders?
Mark lives in Pittsburgh (still)
Dave moved (back) to New York area, I think its jersey and is doing something entirely different for years now.
mark has posted a telephone interview with him from 2008 or something
"It's a bad day to be on that ship" - Mark
i remember this game on pc...
ATARI: _Transformers_ for the PS2, based on the _Transformers: Armada_ series, an alternate universe expanding the 1990s into millions of years... with a neon green and bright purple Megatron tank.
interesting. Missile command seems to have been made too easy on the playstation rebirth, and also you see what the enemy is, which takes away abit of the effect of the brutal original. like i say , seems interesting, but the original trumps all, as it gives a sobering anti nuclear war message by the fact that no matter how long you play the game, you cant win, you cant save everyone, nuclear war has no winners. and instead of a game over screen you are treated to a much darker "The End"
Anyone know where I can get patches to the 1999 PC version so that the menus aren't scrambled with graphics trash?
heh you know this is old. No Green screen. I like the corny cgi and "that girl." I still love that classic Missle Command Game Over too!
@sleinfer yeah, something like wanting to go back to college or something. theres a video somewhere where mark speaks to dave and they recap on the past and crap
@gillianorley actually this is missle command its the ps1 version it was really good you fight aliens basically though and you can play the classic version of the game

I had this pc years ago. How the hell do I find it now? I don't even know what's it's called, I keep getting the 80's bullshit.
2008? Looks like 1988
@asombrosodios Dave lives in another state and has a job. maybe a wife too. Type on the TH-cam Search "Mark And Dave Interview Classic Game Room" or somethign and you will see the video about 4-5 years ago about his status.
@sather9 He moved
Type 1-9-8-0 and watch the magic!
@believerofgod64 The PC version has sharper textures and a higher resolution capability than the PS1.
