I've watched many videos on cornering, leaning, trail breaking, entry speed but this is the first time I really truly understand what the heck is going on or what the heck is trail breaking. Thanks men, This video is worth a million bucks. Every rider should watch this video.

Eddie, just want to let you know that you have great videos. I've watched them over the last couple of years here and there. All different ones. You explain it in a very easy to understand way. I learned to get my knee down about 10 years ago and it never fails that we can always go back to fundamentals. You keep everybody on track. Keep doing what you're doing. I never get tired of watching your videos.

Too much front brake talk - I’m not convinced he’s saving lives at all . Maybe I’m wrong but front brake can F YOU UP ... back brake is more natural by far in terms of physics - I’m only 4 years into the sport and older (Harley) but this dude’s advice makes me kinda cringe . (Maybe he does more on back brake on other clips )
Or maybe I’m too inexperienced or unpracticed to appreciate the front brake technique he’s describing.

This was one of the best videos I have seen. A much more aggressive rider than my self once jumped my ass for braking through a corner, then gave me a complex about braking and I became scared of the corner.. thinking if I can’t apply brakes and my speed was too fast my only option is to hold on slide out.. I didn’t even want to ride.. but I watched your video got out there and feel so much better.

14:52 I just achieved the biggest mental breakthrough on trailbraking from this video. I know and practice the suspension/tire contact patch setting when applying the brake. What I had not considered is the time/distance involved to do that. If I'm off the brakes in the corner and suddenly realize I need to use them again I need to reset all of that again which takes time and distance and isn't ideal leaned over.

This whole body of work, all the videos are on skills and techniques I’ve seen before elsewhere, (msf instructors, forums, riders, books, etc… but for me Its like here they suddenly make sense as to how and why and all comes together and a lightbulb goes off where I’m like “OHHH how did i miss that a couple years ago? How did nobody ever mention that before?” Its not that the others skipped anything, but rather that, IMO Fast and MotoJitsu lessons are the best moto teacher I’ve ever seen (actually one of the best teachers in ANY subject) whether virtual or IRL (ymmv sInce its a very subjective thing). Fast E comes across on his videos like its just himself and the viewer, while simultaneously being clear and likable and connecting one on one, this is a huge talent and kind of rare to find it authentically, so when it comes along its really noticeable, now combine that with MotoJitsu/FE’s skills and knowledge and its just a great combination. This stuff actually lives up to hype/ word of mouth. He’s really really good at this. I dont work for/never met this guy, so I’m not just hyping (i have no skin in game) its just me and my 2 cents here. MotoJitsu is really impressive and totally necessary! Thanks for doing this work

I still go into parking lots (often) and practice slow speed maneuvering, pickups, stops, figure eights, etc. This man is doing it right. Do not loose respect for the vehicle and always remember, no matter how long you have been doing it, you have a lot to learn and everyone gets rusty. Also, I found out this man is a former USMC drill instructor and as a former recruit, I am amazed that he is able to count correctly. "You got 10.... 7621 YOU'RE DONE". Thank you, sir. I think that is the Motojitsu drill I have most to learn after trying it myself. I tried black belt, as I can do the weave in black belt consistently (stupid, right :P), but I grab the breaks too hard too early, so the back wheel was off the ground for 12 feet probably. Think I’ll try white belt and work my way up next time.

Your analogies and drawings are so helpful. The fact that you repeat things instead of breezing over them makes all the difference! I just watched your video about cornering, where you just rode corners, back and forth, describing every step ... from approaching/entering/cornering through/exiting every corner, was sooooo helpful! I felt more confident on my very next ride. All I need now is to conquer u-turns without dropping my bike I’ll be happy. For now it’s 5 point u-turns! Thanks for the awesome videos!!!!!

I love the brutal honesty in your videos. Other TH-camrs who give this kind of motorcycling lessons seem to always want to wrap their words in fluff so that they are maybe not that stinging, but not you. I really like that because I am coming to the age where I have little patience for people who seem to want to handle me with gloves on. Just give it to me straight and if you tell me I suck at something, it's just all the more motivation for me to work on improving myself.
Keep it up. I am really glad I checked out this channel a few weeks ago.

David Jebson the size of the contact patch has absolutely nothing to do with traction. I know that sounds wrong but the formula for friction has no mention of area! It’s actually the weight pushing down providing more force causing increased traction. A bicycle tire has just as much traction as a super bike tire provided they are made from the same material and have the same weigh on them.

Your videos are gold! Thank you for providing this for FREE for us. Your explanations and graphics are so understandable. I'm an adult educator and I'm impressed with your teaching techniques - I bet you don't even realize you're following actual educational methodologies - you're a natural. I'm also a motorcycle rider - have been riding for years - but these are all lessons that I never learned in my safety courses and lessons that I need on the roads. I devour all of your videos and learn so much and practice in the parking lot and take it on the road with me. I'm taking notes and drawing out these practice sessions and will be heading to the parking lot this weekend with my practice cones. I hope I never need to emergency brake (wishful thinking), but WHEN I do, I'll credit you!!

Thanks for making this video Eddie. I started practicing doing tight circles in a parking lot this week after watching one of your other videos you did at an army base. I did okayish, but practice practice practice makes perfect. The material in this video takes it further and is very encouraging.
Also your comment about uphill vs downhill is so very true; stuff I experienced when mountain biking on loose gravel; scared me no end to begin with. Motorbike is still 'Eyes Wide Open' at the moment because of the weight and gravity pull difference. And I found that freezing up is the worst thing to do. It's instinct to feel a bit of fear when learning something new, and damn stupid to ignore it.
Thanks again heaps. I get a lot out of your simplistic explanations.

Perfect, short and quality presentation. Good job done, cover very important aspect on motorcycle riding. When i started, first what i was concerned is proper breaking, trail breaking in corners, thanks to my instructor who always saying “anyone can open throttle, but not many can break” it is very true and super important to practice correct breaking. Eddie, you did a dam good job explaining it so clear and easy, this will be very helpful to new riders. Perfect content, please keep up same.

Fast Eddie!!! Been watching your stuff for the past year. So many of your tips and advice have come in handy when I finally started riding my Honda Grom. The more I watch you the more confident/comfortable I feel. The main pointers are: being a light switch (I constantly talk to myself/think out loud: be a light switch). Another tip you mentioned is to be as nimble with your hands as you would play a piano. Gear is always my top priority as well. Thank you so much!!! Much love from Queens NY. A popular tv series where they created masterpiece vehicles out of rust buckets also did the same with bikes. I loved them all. Except for one, for some reason, they deleted the front brake on a chopper. One guy joked, "ah, they just slow ya down". The show was hard to watch after that. What other massive mistakes are they making that could cause loss of life? We have to educate ourselves and double-check every new machine we are thinking of driving. Thanks for the help!!!
