I thought it'd be something else, just felt too obvious to me.
Cuz it’s too obvious. The MC who’s the host of this parasite is a public figure who’s looked up by many people or her fans.
It was the most obvious route. Anyone who can use their brain to think more than 3 seconds would have predicted this ending.
@Aniboiii5600 yeah, but since it's so obvious, I thought to myself, they've got be smart enough to trick us again, instead of making it all so bland or whatever. But Hollywood just gets dumber and dumber.

This one really surprised me when I saw it in theaters. The first one was pretty solid, but 2 just took the best elements from 1 and dialed them all to eleven. And Naomi Scott gave one of the best performances of the year. Really enjoyed this one.
I hope Naomi Scott wins an award. I doubt she'd win an Oscar because it's all biased, but she definitely deserves an award.

It really really NEEDS to be seen in a good theatre. The sound and visuals are super amazing. Best scary movie in decades to me....A+++

Underrated movie. First horror movie I’ve seen in theaters and I watched it with some of my friends. Absolutely brilliant.
The first horror movie I ever saw in theaters was It 2 and it was just awful. Me and my cousin had to sit in the front row on the left side lol and the couple behind us wouldn't stop talking.
@ dang that sucks. Front row in “It 2” must’ve been wild. I remember when I was watching Top Gun: Maverick, there were like 3 kids kicking my chair lol.
It was so damn good in theatres.

That whole beginning was an insane one shot with some incredible moments.
Morris was real, but she only met him once after she left the bar and went home. Once she got jumped in her house by all those smiling people is the moment the smile demon took over and when she woke up in the rehab center Everything afterwards was fake. and it does make sense because there’s no way that thing would’ve let her get all the way to Morris without interfering in some sort of way
Gemma was not also not real..and she met Gemma before morris!!!

Spot on. Most reactors today just over emphasise their reactions, wheter it be shock, laugh, amusement, surprise.... They're just fake... These guys are really just watching and casually commenting like there's no camera.

This film is a rare gem where it is even better than the first. Naomi Scott was absolutely amazing in this and her performance blew me away. When she was being interviewed about the film on press tour, they asked her what the hardest scene was to film for her, and one of them that she mentioned was the scene where she’s in the bathroom and she loses it and break the glass. She said that scene would take so long because After each take they would have to reset and they would take almost 2 hours to get everything cleaned up with all the glass and everything that shattered in each take so they always wanted to make sure they got it right and she said that they ended up getting the shot luckily and two takes. Also, the guy who plays her dead boyfriend in this film is the son of Jack Nicholson. His resemblance to him is uncanny when she sees him smiling at her at the event she’s speaking at. it was like looking at Jack Nicholson in the shining but even younger.
Omfg I can’t believe they had to clean up the glass in the bathroom twice to do a reshoot 😨 the dedication.
The fact that they didn’t actually blurred the bloody gore parts
Paul Hudson actor is Jack Nicholson’s son, and with that white tux on and that crazy smile he looks so much like his dad in the Shining in that scene.
He looks more like the cop in smile 1 and in this one (the beginning of the movie) to me honestly
Okay so I've only done one watch through so far, but I believe she didn't change her bloody gown cause her assistant only brought the hoodie in case she got cold so no change of clothes. Also I don't believe it would transfer to him if he shot her cause it passes with severe trauma (every kill being brutal and the more disgusting the better) plus he has intent on stopping the demon so I don't believe it would transfer if that instance.

I don't think Morris was ever real. She's been under a genjutsu ever since she saw Lewis kill himself. Not only was Gemna fake the whole time, but Sky also wore that blue outfit at the end after she said shes not wearing it at the beginning of the movie. Lastly the entity can only be seen by whoever got it. So why was everyone able to see that little girl with braces smiling. Because she was in a hallucination
This has easily become one of my favorite films of this year.

I have to tell say, to folks who don't understand what doctors appointments and treatment feels like, please stop saying this. You dint think those of us who live in either extreme pain or have altered feelings haven't thought to go is mind blowing. We were taught like everyone else. Doctors don't treat chronic conditions they band aid them until the symptoms are unmanageable to which they disown and send you to other doctor. A cold or the glue sure they can do alot for but those of us who fight on second to second bases.... Doctors do nothing but make you worse. There's a reasons medication injuries is the 3rd leading cause of death so if we could all hold off on passing judgement. Whatever you think you know about the doctors, I promise you it's not that cut in dry nor even close. What's worse is that we not only get disowned by doctors but the public also rejects the notion that a doctor can't just fix you up like media sources and movies suggest.

I imagine most of your audience doesn't mind whether you're sat on a sofa or laid in bed the reactions are still good. If anything these seem more authentic

Watching this movie the one issue I had was The Plan to defeat the entity... so personally the reveal at the end made perfect sense, if we assume the entire thing with the helpful stranger was a manipulation from the ery beginning.
Honestly I'd say it's both a strength and weakness of the Smile movies so far, the fact tht they break the mold a bit when it comes to supernatural horror. Instead of following the "1, Discover horror. 2, Learn about horror. 3, Defeat or escape horror" 3 beat horror formula by not following step 3, it makes the movies incredibly tense because a first time viewer is unsure of what will happen, and a returning viewer is watching to see how it will all go wrong.
On the other hand, not having that option of defeating or effectively fighting the entity really leaves them in something of a corner writing-wise, and I think it's the main reason both films focus their third acts on attempting to defeat the entity.
(scoots over, clears throat) 28 years trailer out... if you and/or jen havnt seen 28 days and weeks later now maybe a good time with ppl now buzzing around that franchise. you know for that (does money gesture hand signal) and timing is good now.

What would’ve made this movie even better is if during the end credits, given how it ended, they’d showed us a montage of suicides due to the smiling demon, like a massive epidemic happening all over the world.

the pulling the hair out is a mental condition .. to cope with anxiety or any overwhelming feeling .. some go as far as eating their hair, which i think there was a patient in the first one who came into Roses’ hospital to get her stomach pumped from that ..

I should’ve figured Gemma wasn’t actually sleeping over because, when she spoke to Skye’s mom the camera is only facing Gemma instead of having both of them in the frame and Elizabeth never responds back
@sk8mafia214 yeah, but the movies so trippy, it's possible that Gemma did sleep over and then the smile demon was trying to make Skye that she didn't.
@ she never did sleep over. If you watched the movie she tells Skye she hadn’t talked to her for a year and asked about the weird text messages she got.

As the movie goes on the audience is being tricked until the final moment when she’s on stage and realized she never killed her mom, and she never talked to Gemma. It’s show how powerful entity or whatever it is is becoming

I genuinely hope this movie wins some awards. The acting, the cinematography, the soundtrack, and everything were done very well imo. I honestly thought Skye was gonna die in the car somehow and then the smile demon would lach itself onto Gemma, cause it would've made sense since Skye's life went downhill so much after that first car accident and stuff.
I think it’s more of a visually thing this trauma demon. So if the Dr guy had to kill her and just didn’t look then the demon wouldn’t latch I don’t think.
love this relax movie times, one movie I think would be great for this moments, "Palmer" with Justin Timberlake, really good movie.
