They are actually two guys who make music videos on youtube. They made a backwards video, (backwards video, not the music) that is vaguely reminiscent of this. They also host a talk show on youtube. Recentley they played clips of themselves backward, in which they tried to understand what they where saying. (for clarification, they said things normally and then played it backwards in video format). While doing this, they showed backwards clips where they did things that where obviously backwards. Some of those clips are very similar to this video. They also did another part where they where trying to talk backwards and then play it backwards (like rob scallon did), but with no music or clips.
In short, they kind of sort of did everything Rob did here, but they have never actually sung anything backwards. It's a bit ridiculous to say that Rob was copying them.
Rosie Shotton Weird Al Yankovic's "Amish Paradise" music video did that idea before them. It's not during the whole video, but it's near the end.
