- Is your car jerking? is it loosing power? well it might be time for new spark plugs, they go bad around 40,000 miles, SO I made a video about my experience with nasty spark plugs, hope you guys enjoy!

2015 m4, I used the ngk flex plugs "F8S" gapped at 0.020 as recommended , misfired like crazy under full throttle immediately., So I vhanged to new Ngk "D8S" the 97506 gapped 0.022, misfire went away. Drove amazing for a month but misfire is back at 4k rpms when full throttle, but no check engine light this time.
I have an e46 and I had all of these symptoms. Shaky gear change, rpm jumping when start, engine shaking, loss of power. I was told the spark plugs were already replaced 10,000 miles ago so I did injectors, Disa valve, idle air control valve, maf air flow sensor because I originally thought it was a vaccum leak. Now I know and it’s fixed. Thank you so much. I was about ready to give up on the car

I have a 2019 BMW 320i xdrive and I was having the jerking while shifting usually just in sport + mode when I rip it but this makes me feel a million times better, I thought it was my transmission already failing lol

I have the F32 and when driving normally it’s fine. But when I floor it that when it starts to hesitate and jerk. I’m going to replace the spark plugs asap and hopefully it resolves the problem. Great video btw! I was losing my mind trying to explain it to people

@@Jet3ch so I changed the plugs and it wasn’t that. I then took it to my mechanic and he found that the fuel injector was squirting fuel and a rate too fast in cylinder 1 changed that and there was STILL a problem. Ended up being that there was no compression in that cylinder which subsequently meant that there was a burned valve which would’ve meant I would’ve needed an engine rebuild. My mechanic just told me to sell the car as it wouldn’t be worth it as he may find more problems resulting in sky high costs ☹️
Great I also have a f32 I had a misfire in cylinder 4 a while back , when went to change it we found that the coil was completely lose not even clipped down , after changing the coil it drive fine again , but now I’m kinda having the same issue you are
I don’t have any engine light , did yours get triggered ?
@@johnvega2528 I had no engine light pop up, it was really weird. It went from a mild misfire to an aggressive misfire. I changed all the sparks and coils and still no change. Take it to your mechanic for a compression test in all 4 cylinders.
Got the full drivetrain malfunction after cold acceleration. Shop gave me 150/hr rate plus spark plugs and $90 per coil pack. No thanks, I'll tune it up myself.

It could be, the coils shows the same problems as the spark plugs, so if you plugs are good but you feel the car is not acting right they might be it. Thank you I appreciate it!

I replaced my coils but not spark plugs and my car shakes and acceleration is slow and if I stop to hard it turns off what could be the problem?
Check the spatk plugs if they need replacement
On a regular start not cold start when I start my car it bogs like it wants to die sorta yo how u explained yours do u think it’s the spark plugs?

@@johnoloimooja9425 bro my e90 shitted on me the other day too did you not hear the fuel pump when you’d get in your car? I’ve been thinking it’s a vacuum leak or my spark plugs but it might be my fuel pump as well. Would it start but not turn over?

you have a typo. it's not "loosing power" it's "losing power." The correct spelling will help people searching for your video to find it.
Can bad spark plugs reduce boost target? I don’t have a boost leak , checked everything is good , runs smooth but only hits 13psi , I’m suppose to be hitting 21 lol checked plugs and they are pretty bad lol but I’m not misfiring or anything ,
Did you ever find a fix bro? Was it the coils or spark plugs?
@@Verrsaucy I did bro ! It actually did end up being bad plugs they were the 1 step colder they went bad , ordered some 2 step colder plugs gapped them slapped them on and runs great hits boost target again !
Bad plugs will keep you from hitting psi target or just bad maintenance in general just as much as an boost leak
@@boost7236 oh i see. my car drives like garbage lol. I have the 1 step colder plugs, its been like 10k miles and recently my car has just been sluggish. On WOT the car just doesn’t build boost. It literally stutters. I checked all pipes for any cracks and nothing. Im going to start off by replacing the plugs and coils to see if that fixes anything.
