I have the same specs of this model but with 128GB Ram provided to me by my company - its truly a beast. And an absolute pain in the ass to carry with me if I have to go into the office.

Seems like all the Zen 3 stock is going into ThinkBooks, Ideapads and Yoga Slims. Thinkpad does have a contract with Intel after all...

Hi! I am thinking of pulling the trigger on a P15 gen2 (i7-11800H, 4k, 16gb, 512gb, Nvidia T1200) for $1500 and would really appreciate if you could clarify some doubts for me...
      1) How is the battery life for day-to-day tasks? Esp with the 4k display...
      2) Any heating issues you encountered? Excessive fan?
      3) Do you know how the T1200 compares to the RTX 3000 series that come in the T15g gen2 instead?
Thank you so much in advance, appreciate any feedback

I got the Lenovo ThinkPad T15g Gen 1, which is similar or from the same family as of P15, and they are awesome! Even though they are very expensive, I think it has the expandability and the power I need (web development and lots of virtual machines). I can see Lenovo improving these machines and it's great, I don't see a reason for upgrading for now. These machines will last years and years before thinking of replacing them.

So many "laptops" have become "fragile" jewelry.
Reviewers have started talking about the case color, bezel size and "notches" before the CPU/GPU.
-- These P series are "tools" not fashion accessories.
It doesn't matter how pretty it is if it doesn't work.

What is the keyboard travel? 1.8mm or 1.5mm or other? How does it compare to the P15s/P15v and the Gen 1 and/or earlier P5x models? Some reviewers have complained about the shallow travel and hollowness in the lower left area on the P15 Gen 1.
