I personally think sao is a pretty well build anime in every aspect exept for its story. Music, character design, world building, are all good. but the story besides the rushed aincrad arc and the more recent arcs are just kinda weirdly placed in my opinion. And I think the new progressive movies are showing how good the aincrad story could have been if they didn’t try to rush it their first time around.
@@NimbleFire Yeah I feel about the same. I'd say it goes Alicization, Aincrad, Mother's Rosaria, GGO, Excalibur, and then Alfheim from best to worst. It's and A1 studio production though so it's going to have nothing but money pumped into it, Like there was this anime "Asterisk War" that the produced and the anime was actual garbage, but got a second season. I also particularly hate that anime because "Chivalry of a Failed Knight" came out in the same season and ended up getting swept under the rug because it had a similar primase despite being a hundred times better with a fraction of the production value. Just pisses me off that everything they produce gets the poster boy treatment and becomes popular regardless of how bad it is. Not saying they don't produce good shows, but when they suck they really suck.
@@BhargavN10 Yeah I know they skipped over a bit in the anime where Asuna and Kirito form a party between EP 2 - 3 in the Aincrad arc, but the progressive movie just makes Asuna out to already like him and it's kind of weird. Not my favorite retcon. I do like that they gave Argo some airtime in the second movie though, if only she showed up in any of the anime so far asides from that one episode.

For how bad some of those arcs of the show are, this really is one of the best anime songs ever. I don't even mind that they reuse it so much.

Anime skips a lot of things especially scenes and moments about Characters. So yeah it's anime's fault.
