Hello everyone I got it to work - you need to reset the app while headphones are plugged in clink use internal dac!!!!! It works!!!! Make sure you select bit-perfect on the settings!!!!!!
The UAPP is a similar software with the hiby music app. If the hiby music is running ok on the m300, I think that is not a problem. I guess the issue appears because the UAPP was not supported the new player fully.
How much louder is this vs the sony a306? Because this seens louder. Because i have the a306 and thinking about getting this for bigger screen but also, does this lag like the a306?
You do know the m 300 output is down samples to 48khz no matter the file and no you can't get around it.a limitation of android other fiio players are specialy with hiby software that removes the down sampling but not on the m 300 model known as the gen z player by hiby reddit posts concerning this.
48khz is actually an upsample vs CD rips, which are 44khz. The M300 upsamples everything. I’ve done a video covering it. The led it displays is the same colour as displayed for 96khz on other Hiby players.
You have a lot of DAPs ! Which one do you recommend without paying attention to the price? And if you have so many DAPs, how many IEMs do you have? Just curious :)
@@PerputuallyCensored how smooth is the UI/UX? I'd like to be able to use some podcasting/media apps, and I'm afraid that it's already underpowered and might get laggy in the near future. Don't actually have one though. Appreciate the info and reviews!
It is very smooth for me but I have optimised it and haven't loaded it with apps/trying to use it like a smartphone. If you load it up it will likely slow down and some Apps are more demanding than others so it depends.@@username-videos
@@PerputuallyCensored Appreciate it. Hopefully Sony come out with another version soon that has a more capable chipset for the OS. I don't plan on loading it up with non-music related stuff, but like knowing that it's somewhat capable and a bit future proof. Very close to a perfect budget device with both the 306 and the M300. Competition is good.
The guy is saying that it is not plugged in, hence no sound. He has no idea that it is fully plugged in and that the bit you see (which he thinks means it isn't plugged in) is where the larger termination screws on. That part literally cannot be plugged in but never part a fool from his enjoyment. @@marcorodrigues040
My m300 sometimes restarts while using UAPP and happens more often while using Hiby Music App. Idk why this happening.... No issue with the volume when it does work tho...
Does anyone know if they ever fixed this problem, and if everyone struggles with it. Been trying to find out before I buy one myself. It's between a nw-a306 and a m300 for me. Thanks for the videos they've been very helpful. Btw if you don't mind, why did you end up selling the M300? Just too many devices and wanted to keep only one?
Noob comment but you don't really need the UAPP right? I mean for me I only have UAPP on my smartphone because of "bit-perfect". M300 should already be bit-perfect system-wide right? or do you only use UAPP for it interface in this case?
Mostly interface and just a better user experience. You don't need it. The M300 doesn't do bit perfect, it has system wide upsampling, even with UAPP. It cannot be disabled either.
I bought my m300 for TuneIn radio. But I can't get more than 3-4 hours out of it. Am returning. My sony nw a55 gets incredible battery life. I'm going to try the nw A306

this was fixed on version 1.50_20240821-1638 just a couple of days ago..

If you don't like the Hiby App, like me, then it very much is a problem. Hiby App doesn't do gapless with AIFF either.

There is no lag on the A306. If you want a bigger screen and more power then get the M300.
@@PerputuallyCensored ok. Thank you.

Depends on your criteria. I'd be happy with just the A306 if I were to choose only one.

I like the Shanling m3 ultra in that $400-500 range
Do you ever had issue with the sony a306 UI?
No
It's Not plugged in fully😂
Usar un dac para celular con cable y conectarlo
If you say so then it must be true

The jack is longer for the 6.3mm adapter so it actually is in all the way
Al parecer es por la potencia que necesita para mover el auricular, me paso algo similar... si no llega con la potencia no lo toma en cuenta.

Very odd.
I'd say you get what you pay for, but I'm sure all chifi daps could have issues no matter the price. M3 ultra has been good so far.
If you push all the way in the may work
🤡

Pretty much. Didn't need it and prefer the A306. I have no idea if they have resolved the problem or not.
Works fine on my m300, no issues.
@@MilesThorne Good to know, thanks for the reply.
Me pasa que crashea la app cuando la instalo.... hay solución?
I can't help you with that, without knowing specifics, I'm afraid.
