I just snagged one open box from HiFiGo and this video confirms for me that I made the right choice. I have zero interest in streaming and am not concerned about loading it up with apps. I already have experience with the hiby app and it has all the capabilities that interest me. It's a bit weird that it is built on such an old version of Android, but as long as I can get high quality local playback driving pretty much any IEM or headphones I might choose, with EQ out the yin yang and a nice touchscreen and very good battery life, I'm more than happy.

Question is: knowing the LG-V60 performs on par (or better) than the other DAPS... would you sell your other gear?

Want to get tracks from mac over to m23. Want to use Fiio music app, I’ve downloaded on mac but the computer can’t seem to find the m23 to add tracks to. What am I missing? Everything else makes sense. Also is there a dj app that I can use to tag and set hot cues on? Rekordbox not compatible. Not ideal. Thought it would be. But def need help getting tracks from my iTunes library onto m23z

Still have my Sony NW-A55 and ZX507. Sony's build quality and sound is so intoxicating.

I use a zero google install of LIneageOS on my Sony 1 V phone. Headphone jack and micro SD with no spyware. I don't love how a lot of these DAPS have Android spyware with Google Services installed.

How you connect rme to your MacBook?

Can it be u used as a streamer only while by passing its internal dac, by connecting it via USB C to more high end external dac?

Sorry to say but if you can not identify and describe the sound difference between these daps it is maybe better not to review this kind of devices. You have had and reviewed very intresting products from dap midrange area but without SQ it is very dissapoiting and time lost watching all these reviews. At least for me. Maybe others are intrested which one is bigger or has brighter screen.

Could you please advise on sources for obtaining AIFF files? I've found a website offering them but downloaded files aren't permitted post-purchase; access is limited to their online platform. Thank you!

Is iBasso D16 the best for Sony MDR-Z1R if i want thr best possible sound quality out of the headphone? The sourve is iPhone 15 which is usb 2 or should i ger a DAP but DAP before android 14 has downsample and delay in usb dac mode?

Good information. The Tripowin C8 is another cable that needs to be modified to work with the Sennheiser IE200 (and probably IE300/600/900 as well). After complete removal of the plastic color rings the connectors plug in firmly and make a satisfying click upon insertion. There remains a little gap where the color rings once were but that is not a problem at all. If you want to make it absolutely perfect, you would need to cut just half of each color ring, which is way too much hassle in my opinion.

Loved your thorough review videos, they convinced me to buy an A306, it arrived today. I have an NW-A45 so this is quite the jump up but I am learning. Also have my trusty Pono, love that thing. But the sound coming out of the A306 is very nice, I'm using some Sennheiser HD 660S headphones. Also wanted to let everyone know that a SanDisk 1.5 TB micro SD card will work with the A306 with no problems. Thanks for all the info!

Awesome review Luke and it is refreshing to see someone who is not totally blown away by the sennheisers. I am hoping to try out the hype4, but was interested to hear your comparisons against the cinco tres, so I hopped onto Amazon and they were doing a flash deal 50% off on checkout so I have just bagged a pair of them for £127. That has to be the bargain of the year and being Amazon if I don't like them they can go straight back. Keep up the great work. Have you considered the Thieaudio oracle mkiii? I know it has not made your list yet but if you get the chance I would be interested to see your comparison review between these iems you review on this post and the oracle's

Hi I saw you have the fiio fh3 and Doscinco, which is the best of the 2? I also have fh9 but honestly the bass is very flat.

Can you use apps like IG and TH-cam on this? Also can you connect to the internet on it with a usb-c to Ethernet adapter

Thanks! I'm deciding between the M300 and the NWA 306. I'm happy to find a comparison of these two players. After weeks of searching and eliminating all others, I'm left with these two, which seem a bit like they're in the same price range, even though they're not. Is the Hiby that much better than I expected or is the Sony unnecessarily overpriced? Given the price, I would expect the Sony to be much better, but in your review it sounds very much the same. What about the formats played? Do both handle the same? So far, I've come across several reviews that say the M300 doesn't quite belong among truly HiRes players... Your review restores my confidence in this relatively "cheap" device.

I have an Lg V60 and the only thing i wanted was a zerolemon battery pack for it. That would crush the dap becuase the battery life would be great.

Hi Luke. You had R6p2 and now a306. Please advise. I have a 306 Japanese version and I really like it. From Hybi I used to have R6 III. I have an idea to buy R6p2, but I have doubts about how much sense it makes. If we abstract from short battery life of R6p2, how much better will the sound be than a306? Will there be significant differences in sound? Or is it not worth bothering with it?

Hi luke another great review mate. How would you compare these to Hidizs MP145 and the kiwi ears orchestra light, then also the kiwi ears quintet and thieaudio hype 4?. Sorry I am a complete newbie so need as much guidance as possible and I intend to match these iems to either the fiio m23 or ibasso dx180 or dx260. Can I also ask what your daily driver DAP is?

Of all the DosCinco reviews I watched/listened, I enjoyed yours the most! Well done! You might be the right person to ask since you have experience with Fiio - the main reason I was looking at these iems is because i broke the cable of my Fiio FH5 and was considering buying something new instead of replacing the cable. Would the DosCinco be an upgrade or merely a sidestep?

Intrusive ad's should be made illegal, they're another form of subliminal brainwashing. I've been using Brave on iphones for some years now for add free video's, I never bother with the YT app. Those other suggestions are handy for when I get the M300 DAP, cheers. Subbed!

Plex doesn't work/detect any of my Music files for playback. This is why it wasn't included or mentioned as a Music playback option.

1. The treble in the IE600 is controlled by the "foam inside the stock eartips". If you use 3rd party eartips then the treble becomes too much for many people. 2. The "Linsoul Kiwi Ears Flex Earbud Tips" have the same grid as the IE 600 eartips but fit better. You can remove the foam from the IE600 eartips and put it into the Linsoul eartips and it will lower the Treble. 3. Most used IE200/IE300.IE600 and IE900 on the market are sadly fakes so avoid them.

Hello luke, been watching your videos to help me decide my first dap! For me, it is really important to have a system wide parametric eq and run qobuz offline...considering this, which one you should recommend? M23 or r6p2? The PEQ of dx180 only works with mango, right? Best regards

Love my v60. Miss my Korean LG V50 with dual screen though. Just liked the Oled screen better. It was also more neutral in sound which paired great with my HD600.

How many hours can you get from the m300
