Except - you essentially have infinite ammo in this game from chainsawing the fodder demons that almost always respawn indefinitely. I haven’t been stressed about ammo since level three of my first run through

Chainsaw fuel refill itself to one charge and fodder demon have infinite spawn (I really hope they remove cyber zombie out of the list cuz they are total dick), unless u r using super shotgun to kill every imps and zombie as well as heavier enemy, u should be good.
The chainsaw works if you look at it as not just a way of getting ammo, but also a quick break from the chaos to catch your breath and get your bearings.
a really good doom eternal player will manage ammo super well, so ya the chainsaw man mechanic can be seen more as a free teleport with invisibility than anything

Knowing how id software have been responding to stuff as of late, "Ask Madden" is probably going to be a legit feature in Doom: Eternal in the next patch/DLC in some way. that way there's a *little something for everyone*

Sorry Weeby McWeeb, DOOM as a franchise has been around a lot longer than fucking death stranding, and DS suckjed ass. It was a Alan Wake with silly string. Kojima is an overworshiped turd polisher. MGS was ruined and rendered too cheesy to even stomach the cutscenes with the anime weebery and corniness that was it's content.
I gotta say my favorite addition was the double dash function. Made the combat quick/active, and when you finally think you mastered using it, they introduce the stuff that you cant jump or dash out of to kick your ass again lol.
This really is a strand-type game. As Death Stranding said, "Once, there was an explosion, a bang which gave rise to life as we know it. And then, came the next explosion. An explosion that will be our last." And that explosion? That was Doom. Because Doom is BOOM!

The biggest problem with this game is the you cannot aim correctly cause you are shaking your head to the music. In other words, you have motion blur in real life

Just got done finishing this title. What a masterwork video game. The sound mixing, gameplay, aesthetics: it has it all. I was even entranced by the lore, read every codex like a nerd.
The green fish is the legendary "dopefish" from Commander Keen IV: Secret of the Oracle. Its a common easter egg in ID games.
I can't believe someone beat me to it. I thought i was the only one old enough to remember that :(

The gameplay is crisp, flashy, yet deep, quality of life improvements make it superior in many ways large and small to Doom 2016, and there is even a bit of lore for those who appreciate it.
Unfortunately, however, you cannot play as Norman Reedus, so the game has to be a 0/5. Clearly, American publishers like id Software cannot truly comprehend the Strand Type Genre™ of games.
Greyson Lawrence such deviation from the established norm like not casting Norman Dinkus as the allergy man in every Strand™️ type game should not be condoned at all

I usually just jump over and sup shotgun the back of them. Being able to do things in multiple ways is also another good thing that makes this game good.
