the beginning of this video made me realize I am absolutely starving for manufacturing processes to be educationally explained to me in a comedic tone. Like that is a whole niche I would get sucked into so easily.
I’ve literally lost 11 X beyblades, my DranBuster just broke, and yet despite the cost of replacement I find X to be worth the (lets be honest) exhilarating battles that triumph over any previous generation.
@@DarkGaming-ts5be I use the TT bey stadium and play almost daily for hours on end. I launch pretty hard too so I’m not that surprised that they’re breaking 😅
As an engineer I can confirm all that was said here, additional fun fact: steel has a fatigue limit, if its never subjected to any stress above its fatigue limit it will never suffer fatigue or fatigue related breakage, sadly zinc does have such a limit so it will always break eventually even if the impact forces are low. This could be mitigated with better designs that reduce stress accumulation points but that takes a lot of time and effort which would make beys too expensive. Have a wonderful day everyone o/
@@Lavie_Azure truly hope so, but with such complex designs stress points are inevitable and with the power of this new generation, breakage is going to happen, im actually quite surprised it has not been worse despite the numerous cases. Older gens also broke often enough and had a fraction of the impacts these suffer
This gen I think has the most diverse fanbase. I have heard scholarly/scientific dissertations on Beyblade before, but not for a while and probably not as legit as this. Cool science fun facts here. Although now given what I've learned from your video, I can only assume I have not been battling hard enough, since none of my X Blades are broken.
One big reason the Beys always were and are breaking is because of the launch power, the Beys are spinning with very fast speed which bends the parts outwards making it break eventually The Beys hitting each other makes the results even faster
I’m genuinely surprised I haven’t experienced more breaks in my own play. The last tournament I played had beys getting ejected over the shroud onto concrete without any breakage. Still cheaper than buying new hockey sticks.
Short version: Metal fight beys were rounder for saftey reasons and so less recoil meanng less Broken beyblades and Beyblade X not only do they spin even faster and they reach reasonably dangerous speeds but it's also because of their designs that are more aggressive meaning more recoil, with all of that combined you get more broken beys. But also people don't seem to realize how fragile metal can be
Let's be honest though, that wizard Rod at the beginning looked coolest fuck. It's almost cinematic when a Beyblade brakes, especially in the right way.
My answer: they use the same metal and plastic from previous gens without taking into account that X moves way faster and hits way harder. Thus causing beys to break
This is kind of why I shifted the trading card games. That, and I just wanted to try something new. Sleeves are replaceable, but my precious cardboard is harder to replace.
Takara is definitely seeing this too, their X and TH-cam just straight up use the ad teaser reel format to show a new 3D modeled illustration of how you gotta get your face the hell out of the way and look behind the clear walls after you shoot the beys Gotta wonder if some kids got hit by shrapnel or if this was a preventative proactive safety move
I love how metal beyblades are capable of breaking, it’s freaking metal, if something can break metal than you should probably put that in you weapons stash.
I feel the main reason these beys break faster beyond the Xtreme line gimmick is the launchers themselves, except for the Hasbro starter launchers. Any launcher outside Hasbro's use gears in the launcher to up the rotation speed of the launcher itself while the starter launchers are direct connections.
Wow, thats insane haha! I cant believe that these are breaking like that haha! Ive never broken an X bey and i use them a lot haha! I think they even fixed the dransword problem, as the newer mold seems to have more metal in the corners.
I’ve personally only experienced breakages with the plastic tabs that hold they blade to rachet. This happened to both my TT knight lance and Viper tail. However at least hasbros molding seems to have addressed this somewhat with curving off the little tabs while I doubt this will solve the problem as a whole or most definitely helps reduce the stress those tiny ass tabs have put on them. So I think it’s very likely that hasbro releases might address more problems at large.
these zinc alloys are used so much I'm kinda annoyed by how often they break day to day just in buckles and what else but in beyblades i mean it happens, these are thick rims but at some point sure they'll break
