This car is incredible. You’ve done an amazing job. I have a 135 and wish I had the means and knowledge to do something as good. Seriously one of the greatest builds on one of the most underrated platforms ever.
Sold my 2009 135i and bought a 2016 M235i. Love the reliability of the N55 so far. The N54 gave me more than enough problems and I was glad to upgrade.
@@yousmoketrim135i all years of 335i had dct? If it has panel shifter, is that dct? Trying to narrow down a trans for an ls swap. Going into a 128i or 335i. Both have a blown motor. Thanks for your reply.
My 135i, although is an N55, is what brought me into BMWs. Started following BMW content creators like you, Jake Spence and few others. I love the E82 platform since its release. Glad I got mine, and after 8 years, only few things had to be replaced on it. I think is time to actually start dropping money on it!! 😂😂😂
I’ve had my 2010 135i for a little over a year now, and yes, just like you said, it’s been great, it’s perfect for me. The N54 has been solid, I just give it it’s regular maintenance. Supporting mods are next, but for now enjoying it stock
I have a '12 E82 135i M-Sport (N55 motor) in DCT at 105K miles with the original timing chain. I recently had the valve cover worked on and asked them to check the chain. They told me it was tight and good to go. I then drove across America from Oregon down into Florida - over 3,000 miles.
i miss the n54 i once pushed through the mean streets of col, ga. it’s been far too long since i told the dime in the passenger seat to shut up and listen to them turbos whistle!
@@andygarcia2266 mine has the sport package (yours could as well idk) and came with the wheels of an F80 M3. I paid a little more for the extras. Wheels/tires where almost 5k on their own.
great overview... I have an e89 Z4 (2016 w/ an n54) and a 2023 single turbo G82... even though the Z4 is slow compared, it's actually just as fun to drive, just in a different way.
Such a beautiful build! Epic car man! I have Been driving a Z4 35i and now a Z4 35is for 7 years now, To date out of all the BMW's I've owned (And there have been many) The N54 has been the most reliable and easiest to work on by far. The First Z4 35i I bought had been treated and looked after really badly so it took allot of time, money, blood, sweat and tears to get it right, but once I did all of that I drove the car for 6 years trouble free and put on around 100k km. I sold it last year November and bought a Z4 35is. I really love the N54 platform, everytime I drive my car it brings me joy and puts a huge smile on my face! It is my only car so I do daily it as well.
What about only running it bone stock or max. a ecu tune but not more? Do they build up headaches? I would rather like to get one as a fun car to drive around mountain passes for like 3k miles a year of ride. The only tuning I might be Complete Recoloring and revamp of the interior. Like a Full Turqoise Alcantara Build with Alpine Green Exterior color.
Hey, I have a 2019 240i. It’s a bolt on car but kinda stuck. Miss having the raw feelings. Test drove a manual bolt on n54 135i and felt much better to drive but the straight line speed and torque was not even Remotely similar. Not too sure if I should make the switch. For the most part seems like a downgrade, but the 240 is pretty dull with the steering feel and automatic. At a crossroads, and would love input with someone who has drove and owned many bmws at this point
How did you get around airbag/seatbelt lights from installing racing seats? I did in my 135 but the lights are on. Or do you just deal with it like me? 😂
@@dedan2 they sold the C63 I was looking at. Went with a 2010 E63 and I’ll get a E92 M3 to go with it. Loving the E class. Still have my tundra for everyday driving as well as my SRT 392 Durango for the family. We getting a nice little garage going
Super clean build bro! 🔥🔥🔥 How has the precision race works coil packs working out for you? I have a set for my e90 n55 it’s prepped and getting a pure stage 2 to very soon but Iv heard mixed reviews on them.
Hey, I know you have a wheel specs for this car on your site but you don’t have those exact wheels (not the gold one) spec for the 1er. Reason I’m saying this is because they were for the M3 and I’m not sure if you changed a few things from the gold one so those black ones can fit better. If so please put the specs on your site for those wheels on the 1er or post it here. Thank you!
@@ethanstaunton6713I’ve had mine for a little over a year now 08 135i vert bought it with 59k and currently at 69k. I’ve only had to do pulleys and a radiator hose. Drive it all over Texas. Probably gonna trade it for a Camaro or something in that class. Def gonna build a hard top or 335is when I start trucking for sure. Just make sure it’s well maintained.

I went for a dct n55 135i for that reason. I don't need to make 600 whp in a short little rwd whip 😅
@@yousmoketrim135iwhat year came with the dct? Are the 3 series dct the same as 135i?
@jvh22a so the 1 series lci came with the dct (2011,2012,2013) and for the e9x 3 series, the DCT was only on the 335is model.

@jvh22a in the USA the dct only came in the 2011-2013 335is only. It was never available on the 335i in the USA. IS MODEL ONLY.

I love my 135i. N55
I bought mine with 43k miles on it two years ago. It now has 52k. I paid 24k for it and couldn’t be happier.
24k is a steal, they go for 30k+ where I come from, IF i can find one

so clean bro
Does American Panda sell the floating center caps like you had on your m2?
Such a clean build! I need one
5k for a rolling chassis is a bit insane. I'm not sure if it's a regional thing for you, but that is crazy high for one without an engine.
Right on, Brother!
Sweet 1 series!
Keep up the great work
My 135 2008 is unbelievable, maintenance every6 months.. But man, they are reliable.
Such a cool little car
Mate what sort of wheels are they fk they look amazing I've been trying to find a set for my car. Wow they look good.
This is really one of my favorite builds on the internet. You did such a great job with this car man! 👍
This is your best build, from exterior to interior and engine bay !!! Well done dude 😎😎

Well done dude, the car looks great 👍🏽 alotta work to get this far, great update. Thanks
So impressed with the quality of your builds, and the E82 is my favorite BMW chassis... So this is a win-win for me!
This has more cool factor than any other BMW, maybe a V8 swap would be cool but the N54 has more potential regardless.
He will s65 swap it
Nice car reminds me alot of the 1M ( Alex Bernstein ) that Larry Chen drove.. Looks great, lots of time in this build for sure.

Watching on my lunch break, thank you brotha 🔥
So when you selling it and for how much?
What tyres are on the car ? Thank you

I’m thinking about getting this or a 2012 C63. Leaning more towards a 63 but I’m going to go test drive this to see how I like it.

They are the exact same wheels. Including size and offset. If you have a 1m configuration, the e92 m3 shares the exact same wheel and tire fitment.
If you think this car is fun you should try the Audi S3 I just traded in my 135 because of the miles and bought a S3 holyshit is it awesome.
Can you use 6 point harness with those seats?
😢😢😢 I miss mine so much.
What steering wheel is that??
what gear knob and gator is this?
wheel + tire specs? 😇
Never sell it - this is one hell of a build!
Do you think it would look nice to do JUST the front end conversion like with the fenders? Or do you think it would weird?!
I think that would look odd. But also fenders to sideskirts wouldn’t line up
n55 next?
Looks amazing 👀
Please get those amazing gold wheels back on the 135
Nah trying something different ☺️

I was gonna purchase the roundels but yikes! I didn't realize the labor so intensive to warrant that price
Yup, materials alone are over $100 we use all oem bmw parts.
@@ThicWhips I will consider in the future, they are good looking!
For me I rather get a N55 M2 then doing a 1M clone
It would be ideal to drop a S65 supercharged motor in that car and also supercharge your e92M3🙏🏽🙏🏽👌🏽
B58 or s58 if u got that cash 💵
