I was going to ask you which Deer creek, figured it out.
I was up there a couple of weeks before the Park fire. Fished by the falls and where you caught those small ones.
I used a small hopper and got a couple.

Is this creek in California? Also, I suggest not yanking the snagged fly with the rod, you may lose more than the fly.
