Honestly when it comes to beauty products, Korean products are the best. Even the cheap quality ones are very usable and are better than Western/European products. You can never go wrong with Korean beauty products...ever. Only downside is that they don't have enough skin tones for foundation, concealer, and stuff like that which is understandable since most of them have very light skin.
From someone who lived in korea for 5 years: Koreans don't contour their cheekbones and rarely contour their nose. Contouring is something that just popped up this year in the korean makeup scene and since koreans like that pale look they don't seem to be really doing much with it. And pony effect is the less of a korean brand and the most inspired off of foreign makeup. Most eyeshadow and lipstick in Korea is not pigmented and come in very limited shades. Pony was one of the first and made fairly revolutionary products that can compare to makeup products overseas. (Im not saying its bad at all, I'm just saying pony is not a good brand to represent Korean makeup as it is foreignized.) Most koreans prefer to just use 1-2 light eyeshadow shades on their lid; they dont like contouring their lid therefore the dark, pigmented colours in foreign makeup is unappealing to the korean audience. (I speak Korean and I used to spend a lot of my time reading korean makeup blogs and living in Hongdae I see the korean youngsters everyday and the many trends they go through. )
annie Thats actually really interesting tbh, I think Tina tried to cater to her regular audience with I presume is mainly Western and not too many Asian (just my persumption) as I know that Koreans prefer keeping their makeup fresh and minimal correct?
annie I am Korean and I find this look very pretty. I guess Tina likes Memebox and that is why she used Pony effect. A lot of my friends do contour their face and they match right foundation color for their skin(I mean we don't like to look pale) I teach teenagers and I saw many many of my students using April skin's contour stick to contour their faces. I respect your opinion and the things you said are almost right~ but don't make a generalization😢
I love Korean Makeup, but the only thing that I have a problem with is how Asians love their skin to look white. Being a young Asian woman, I struggle with skin color because I feel the pressure of having white skin or trying to lighten my skin (which I have done with whitening creams before). Unfortunately, I was ignored at an event I went to because the girl in front of me had whiter skin. I left soon after because I just felt so uncomfortable. Nonetheless, I am trying to love my skin each and every day. ❤
That's awful! Unfortunately it's been a standard in East Asian countries for upwards of a THOUSAND years. Even before meeting Caucasian people. But I believe that shallow standard can and should be changed, just as it should be here in the states. All skin tones can be gorgeous, are gorgeous. Accessories and makeup help make each skin-tone glow, but all are lovely. Not just a pleasant sentiment, but total honesty on my part.
I'm South Asian and have faced the exact same pressure. Don't let it get to you, be proud of your skin tone and rock it with pride. All colours are beautiful, don't let such a close-minded mentality control you xx
That is really unfortunate. I'm tanned too since I grew up/live in sunny southern California but I've never faced that type of discrimination when I go back to Korea and I visit every summer. One time, two girls were pointing at and whispering about me and my sister so we were kind of offended but they actually walked up to us and asked how we got tan because they wanted golden/bronzier skin too! I think it really depends on the person and not the society as a whole. Also, the skin tone standards are changing there with more people preferring/being okay with dark skin because of the American hip-hop trend in Korea right now. Anyways love your skin! Haha I have some of my uncles/aunts telling me to get paler but I just ignore them since I also personally prefer bronzier skin.
I'm an Americanized South Korean who is also half Caucasian and I notice that I get shunned for being less pale. It's so sad but I don't let it get to me because I'm unique and so are you. I think I would try the whiteners for fun or even for Halloween makeup but I'm pretty comfortable with my darker Korean skin. I hope you never forget that we are all beautiful no matter what color our skin is. I hope that you whiten your skin because YOU want to not because of outside pressure. Surround yourself with positivity and acceptance and love and understanding. Please don't let the event people get you down. Take care!
As a Korean person, I recommend buying Korean makeup in Korea cuz those sites sell old bad quality makeup. If u shop in Korea u could find the newest trendiest good quality makeup for good price
신수현.. i didn't know they do that.. it's good to know.. i noticed on those websites they also sell the Korean products on a way bigger price.. I took a look on gmarket and the prices there are way smaller than on other websites..
신수현 If you're in Korea, sure, but for people who don't live in Korea, buying online is way cheaper than going to Korea. Also as someone who's been buying Korean skin care/make up online for 2 years now I've never experienced getting old products. Many of these online stores are actually good at keeping up with the trends in Korea. Also 'bad' products can be a result of some errors in the production process so whether you buy it in Korea or not, if you get the bad batch, it's still gonna be bad.
I'm just saying its better in Korea but if u can't come to Korea just buy online. Buying on the actual sites like aritaum.com, etudehouse.co.kr, innisfree.com is better than buying in sites that sell bad quality expensive ports
Love love love Korean products for their skin care, brows, and eyeshadows. Their foundations are generally too light so I stay with the American brand. On the other hand, Korean warm toned palettes are just right kind of warm tone for me. It's good to explore Asian brands to get the best of the both makeup worlds ❤️💄 plus, innisfree is one of my favorite Korean drugstore brand so I'm glad you like it too! 😊😊
I started getting super dry lips about a year ago. I mean, they were peeling and everything. It turns out using certain lip balms (like carmex or vaseline ect..) all the time actually dries your lips out. I did a quick bit of research and found out a good lip balm to use are the one's that have certain ingredients in that moisturise and hold in your natural oils as opposed to some that actually dry them out. I don't know the specifics. Long story short, I started to use Burt's Bees ultra conditioning lip balm with kokum butter and after a couple of months of using it, my lips were 100x better. I now only need to put it on once a day and my lips are no longer chapped and peeling. I can actually wear liquid lipstick again as well lol Hope this helps you and anyone else looking for a solution to chapped lips. x
Just ditched a bunch of other YT beauty gurus because you are literally so open-minded and informational when it comes to trying new products and your tutorials are lit too. Please never change Miss Tina ❤️
I really like how honest your reviews are... for some reason, whenever friends recommend products, I check first if you have reviewed it and if you did, I believe whatever it is that you say... :)
I'm using a cushion right now, it's the O Hui cushion. It is a CC cream and its has broad spectrum sunscreen SPF 50. It has really nice coverage and it isn't heavy and it feels like I am not wearing any makeup. I highly recommend it. I paid around $60 dollars US for it but I got it at an Asian market so it might be cheaper online.
harvey molina I am not sure how much it costs, I am sure if you go online and google it, it will tell you! I'm sorry I live in the US so I only know how much it costs there
I'm a Korean, and I use HERA Cushion. The full name of this product is HERA UV Mist Cushion. There are several lines in there, and I have UV mist cushion cover which provides full coverage. It is moist and good coverage (I have some redness, and it covers perfectly). It also has SPF50+/PA+++, so I don't have to wear sunscreen before it. It is pricey, but I think this is the most famous one. There is an app in Korea that provides information about cosmetics(ingredients and it divides by several kinds of types: EWG, Allergy, by skin type and performance), customers reviews, and ranking by customers. This app is the most reliable app for cosmetic products in Korea, and this cushion ranked 1st place for a long time. I recommend this one to try it. p.s I watched your product review about wine lip tint and I bought that one :D I like it and wear it every day. (I live in the US so it costs a lot though )
I know its a beauty standard of the culture over there but i honestly prefer tinas natural skintone on her and a bit of bronziness, looks to washed out i think (just my opinion, everyone can do whatever they feel most comfortable in)
Well most Koreans are naturally fair skinned so it looks good on them and Tina looks like she has a darker skin tone compared to Koreans so of course bronze looks amazing on her.
Insatiable Folie actually no. Koreans are generally tan. They idolize pale skin and so most of their makeup and skin care products have bleach/lighteners in them, thus lightening their skin over time and/or giving the illusion of pale skin
My lips are always super chapped no matter what lip products I use or how much water I drink. Some people just have dry lips I guess. I really like Tony Moly's snail ferment lip treatment to combat it, that's been the best product I've tried for moisturizing I've tried
I have been using the Korean brand Sulwhasoo cushion for years. It has relatively higher coverage compared to other Korean brands , also contains the Korean herb essence , super moisturizing! Always gives a flawless finish with natural colour , love it !
Tina, you're one of my favorite TH-cam people. Your personality and honesty is so great to see and hear and your reviews and swatches are always interesting and useful. Thank you for being you! Also, I love your natural skin tone. I think the whitener could be fun and interesting to try for curiosity's sake and novelty and definitely Halloween makeup!
Hello, I also used to struggle with chapped lips, no lip balm were actually working. But then I discovered a really good lip-balm and my lips are now nice and soft, you should try it out it's the ultra nourishing lip-balm rêve de miel by nuxe.
My lips are always dry and cracked like the Sahara desert. All day everyday no matter how much lip balm I use or even super moisturizing balms like aquaphor.
Amanda Kaufman You should try Dr Lipp's nipple balm. It's a lip balm don't worry, I got the recommendation from one of Tina's other video and tried it for myself. It works really well.
Amanda Kaufman aquaphore and Vaseline don't actually moisturize. They simply coat the skin and keep moisture for leaving. They do not penetrate the skin. You are best using natural lip products that can penetrate. And staying hydrated is critical. I stear clear of all petro chemicals like Vaseline and use natural lip products and my chronic chapped lips have thanked me big time. Lippe from the Drunk Elephant line is awesome and for a cheaper affordable option EOS organic lip balms at Target and most drug stores are very good. My favorite lip scrub is by Tarte cosmetics. It's so fine and applies amazing. All other sugar scrubs are so chunky they fall off while your trying to scrub.
I was in a Korean store and there was a lady who had a REALLY white face and her skin was a nice tan and then when I told my mom about it and she said "Tht is a popular trend in South Korea. It's called becoming a QTip." I was like whaaaaaat! In Korea, QTips have a wooden stick for the handle and a white cotton tips and so that lady wanted to look like a Korean QTip 😂😂😂 Also, I want the mascara and the lipstick so badly!!
YES! I've been to Korea once and it's really shocked me when I see a lady with really WHITE face! YES IT'S WHITE! I was like O_O!! I don't understand the trend even though I'm from Asia.
Abigail Jeong I hate spreading rumours about Korea...It is NOT the trend! Most people think it's ridiculous to make thier face and neck colors noticably different.
I use Full Stay CC 24HR from The Face Shop. I have dark skin compared to most Koreans so it was really tough finding a color that fit well for my skin. Thankfully the one I mentioned above works really well. Some companies don't carry dark colors. I find that CLIO, Tony Moly, The Face Shop, and occasionally Etude House carries darker colors. The only time I use any whitening cream is for my under eye bags. I think it's good to use it then to help lessen the darkened skin in that area. Most of the products I use are Korean and I really love them! I haven't tried April Skin though because they carry very light tones.
I have this problem as well Tina.. It sucks! What has helped me a little in the past is rubbing a little bit of Witch Hazel on my lips and then rinsing it off after a good 5-10 minutes.
Off point here. Just wanted to say I love listening to you talk. Your voice is nice, your accent is lovely and more importantly, you are eloquent and precise in your speech. I feel like I'm wasting my time watching your videos, unlike my experiences with other makeup youtubers
miss boo I found a lip scrub that's really effective and I'm in love: it's made by Tarte. They have one in a tin that I keep in the bathroom and a lipstick form that I keep in my purse: what I love is that the sugar is so fine it stays on your lips without falling off like larger sugar granules. And it's natural as well. I love the olive oil too. I'm all about natural skin care.
Tina you should try putting on Vaseline onto your lips overnight for at least a week and that would help with the dryness of your lips cause I used to have dry lips but now they are so moisturised because of the Vaseline
All the make up actually worked pretty well,I'm really impressed with how you made it looked amazing on you in the end; overall this is the kind of stuff I subscribe to 😍
Can't help but to laugh out loud everytime you say about alive, bring life, pale, twilight effect OMG xD I'm using cushion too, I'm using Missha Cushion Cover and the color is more human I think for even the same number (23) with April Skin but correct me if I'm wrong because as I see the color of April Skin on your skin it looks totally whiter than Missha's one. And I'm suggesting you to layered your face with a little darker color powder after using cushion, it helps you a lot to be back to live xD
For darker Korean cushions Laneige & VDL have a few more darker range of cushions. Innis Free and Clio has pretty good visions too! Most Koreans use iope, étude house, innis free, and laneige (only for cheap-middle price range cushions)
Laurn Same here. My ancestry is mostly Irish and Dutch, so even when I "tan" I have really pale skin. I've found that most brands that have pale enough foundations for me are out of my price range.
Laurn I hear you both! I'm really pale, because I'm a ginger. I've never found foundation that matches my skin until I found Arbonne make up products. They're natural make up products and they make a powder foundation for super super pale people like myself. It actually matches my skin, too. The same exact shade. If you're interested, you should look up the "ivory" foundation on their website. Hope I can help you beautiful ladies!
Haha....i am SUPER PALE the whitening cream could literally be foundation for me 😂😂 maybe not completely white but when I wear makeup I usually use concealer for foundation
Oh my gosh Tina, I love this vid! You look so beautiful! Hahaha I know it was very surprising to see the shade was very light for the cream and the foundation, light tones and shades are a thing in Korea, but glad you were able to work with it! Love the look! ❤
For me, I like the Pony Effect eyeshadow palette the most cause it can use for various functions , like using on eyebrow area, eyeshadow, nose contouring & highlighting. I really love all those colours cause they look really pigmented & very buildable.
but before that, apply vaseline mixed with a drop of cinamon extract leave it on the lips for a couple of minutes then exfoliate with a tooth brush, all the dead skin will peel off in a second!
omg i remember suggesting about korean make up. thanks tina i love your videos. and i love how this particular vid turned out. like she became experimental with the products. 💕💕💕
Sara Dickson there's nothing for poc. only thing we can use is missha bb creams, they have 2 shades that might suit, one in no.27 which is around nc35ish and no.31 which is very cool toned and is like nw35 depth. neither suit me, I'm nc42ish and very yellow. if you're deep skinned, you need to mix foundation in which totally defeats the purpose. so yeah.
Sara Dickson yeah, the only options for anyone deeper that light-medium would be mainstream US brands who do cushions like YSL, Lancôme or possibly Amore Pacific - which is a Korean brand but has been in the US for 6 or 7 years now. They've got a larger range for cushions, but I don't know if it's deep enough.
On my daily routine I use the ampoule intense cushion by Innisfree. When I want a more elaborate one, I use the one I made myself (it's basically Etude House's Cotton Fit BB Cream + a little bit of moisturizer by The Face Shop + a little bit of Clio's concealer + a little of MAC's creamy highlighter)
Kalista Willington same. Lol when she was like "I'm so white" I giggled. That's actually a normal shade of white compared to my skin. I'm so pale you can actually see the vains in my hands & arms. That ain't normal lol
just want to say that korean people wanting to have paler skin is just a matter of preference. There's no deep meaning behind it or anything.. they just find it prettier to have paler skin. And omg please do not come with the whole "they want to look like white people" because i assure you, the majority of koreans/chinese/japanese ect do not care about caucasians as much as people think they do and neither do they think of them as superior or anything. It's super arrogant and egotistical (almost insulting?) to think that our beauty standards is the result of wanting to look caucasian. In my opinion i like my facial skin to be paler to match the rest of my body. And in my case i actually find having paler skin makes ME(not speaking for anyone else) look more lively because when i am tanner my skin looks sallow and dull
jen xo it's very common in Asian cultures to want paler skin because darker skin implies that you work outside and are considered poor. Has nothing to do with them wanting to be Caucasian.
Romans116gurl maybe they want to match their face skin color to their neck or the rest of their body? Like my face is always the first to get some color (tanned) when I'm out in the sun.
It's just different beauty standards. There are tons of scholarly research about why South Koreans prefer lighter skin due to traditional/historical social standings. A long time ago, if you were a member of royalty (or generally in the upper/governmental class), you didn't have to work outside so you didn't get tanned in the sun --> paler skin = higher social standing. That mindset probably just lasted throughout the years. Also the sun isn't as strong in South Korea as it is in (where I live) SoCal. I went to Korea over the summer (June-August) to visit family and I still got paler while I was there LOL.
Romans116gurl It has to do with eurocentric beauty standards and the idea that white people and their white skin are the idea of "beauty" and it's very damaging to many asian women and men that feel ashamed of their skin
No you're wrong. In Korea when people say "I like white skin" (난 하얀 피부 좋아) in Korean they literally mean I like white (as in the color white) skin NOT Caucasian white. 하얀 = the color white. People misinterpret this because foreigners connect the adjective "white" with a race but in Korea they literally mean the color white, meaning they want to be as pale as possible. Even regarding plastic surgery trends (double-eyelids, nose bridge raises, etc) yes to a certain extent these "valuable" standards were driven by European features but when people go overboard and look "too Caucasian" and lose their distinct Korean features, it is not considered valuable to South Koreans.
If you have really dry lips, I recommend the brand Carmex. I use the Carmax original lip balm when ever my lips feel really dry. It keeps my lips soft especially right after I exfoliate them.
I only use the April skin whitening lotion where I would put highlighter and concealer ... really helps with under eye light coverage. love your videos!!!!
I've been using Laniege for a year, it last for a about 5 hours then you have to reapply it again. Unlike most korean bb cushion, Laniege offer wide variety of shades. I use it on everyday makeup look, it's definitely a keeper! Btw I love your videos, please keep posting :)
I've using cushion bb cream or foundation since 2013, my first was etude house any cushion in W24 honey beige , and now on I'm using Moonshot Microfit Cushion in 301, I love microfit cushion so much , i love how it adheres so fast to the skin and it is the first time i try on korean foundation that somehow match my warm tone 💕💕💕 you should try more and more korean makeup stuff, glad you tried innisfree! their skincare are also worth to try!
You should try the Laneige BB Cushion. They come in a wide range of colours and there are also different types for different skin tone e.g. pore control, moisturizing. The coverage is medium and can be built. But i find it very moisturizing!
I currently use the Korean brand iFactory Killing Coverst Moisture Cushion. They also only had 3 shades. The darkest shade is slightly dark for me but with powder over top it blends quite nicely. The second shade was described as pink undertone so I didn't want to risk it being too pink for my yellow tones. I also purchased the lightest color in case the darkest shade was much too dark--but it is so light I just blend it under my eyes as a brightener. The coverage is great, as I have occasional acne as well as constant dark spots to cover. It's buildable and the application is quick.
Tina knows Ponyyy😲😲😲 how cool 😄 both are my super favs especially PONY💖 I'm so glad that tina mentioned pony on her video and used her product and liked it 😁 yeaa my beauties go ahead❕💪💪 your big big fan is here!! xD
i use etude house's any cushion cream filter atm, it's very sheer/light coverage and comes in 5 shades. it also has a dewy finish which i like because i have dry skin, but i know some people are more into a matte look. :) i recommend it for people who don't like wearing much makeup but want to give their skin a little boost.
have you ever realised that contour highlight and blush are like a neopolitan ice cream. Contour = chocolate. Blush = strawberry. highlighter = vanilla
pretty sure she's not being literal but just metaphorical coz it's a cute concept :)
Adhishree P. correct

+saloosh777 I agree! They just need to add more shades to their range
You should do 100 layers of the whitening cream! :) xo
Inas I agree!!
I'm not sure, but wouldn't that damage the skin? (if it isn't natural)
Nanu Anni it wouldn't. It's just a sheer white pigment. Like a white foundation
Meagan Tucker, ah okay thank you I didn't know that :)
My thoughts exactly. We have 100 layers of fake tan, why isn't there one with whitening cream?

how much is it for philippines cost?
Tina Yong I got the lightest shade which is 01 Light Beige. They have a darker one which is Honey Beige (I believe is the name).

I recommend this one to try it. p.s I watched your product review about wine lip tint and I bought that one :D I like it and wear it every day. (I live in the US so it costs a lot though )
Pony Effect makeup is the bomb. Her latest makeup product is the best, customizing lip product.
I know its a beauty standard of the culture over there but i honestly prefer tinas natural skintone on her and a bit of bronziness, looks to washed out i think (just my opinion, everyone can do whatever they feel most comfortable in)
I tottaly agree with you!!! 😀
***** how do you know what culture I belong to?
Well most Koreans are naturally fair skinned so it looks good on them and Tina looks like she has a darker skin tone compared to Koreans so of course bronze looks amazing on her.
Insatiable Folie actually no. Koreans are generally tan. They idolize pale skin and so most of their makeup and skin care products have bleach/lighteners in them, thus lightening their skin over time and/or giving the illusion of pale skin
Koreans tend to be pale naturally though they have the ability to tan.
With the exception of the foundation and the whitener I think it looks great! That mascara was AMAZING.
Yessss I've been waiting for this video. I'm really interested in trying a cushion foundation
Omg, I love her ascent so much. I can listen to it all day 😍😍😍
hey tina love from India... could you please try indian bridal look and indian snacks in one of your tina tries it video
Shivangi Shukla yeah
Pony's eyeshadow palette looks amazing!! Love the eye colour combination you used, its soo pretty!
My lips are always super chapped no matter what lip products I use or how much water I drink. Some people just have dry lips I guess. I really like Tony Moly's snail ferment lip treatment to combat it, that's been the best product I've tried for moisturizing I've tried
TahmNong same here 👎🏼 I've been using the blistex intensive moisturiser and it's amazing, so affordable and it works great
TahmNong do you exfoliate your lips?? I exfoliate everyday just with water and my fingers. Coconut oil does wonders as well :)
I have been using the Korean brand Sulwhasoo cushion for years. It has relatively higher coverage compared to other Korean brands , also contains the Korean herb essence , super moisturizing! Always gives a flawless finish with natural colour , love it !
She looks like the potential human version of Mulan 😍
Why doesn't it have at least 100 likes-
Tina, you're one of my favorite TH-cam people.
+Camille awesome thanks!
Tina Yong Try it !
yeah try it
I really really like this look on you!! The glossy lips and the blush colors are what really stood out to me! Love your videos! ❤️❤️
My lips are always dry and cracked like the Sahara desert. All day everyday no matter how much lip balm I use or even super moisturizing balms like aquaphor.
Amanda Kaufman drink more water
Amanda Kaufman you should try vaseline rosy lips one! Surprisingly really work for me! Ive tried the nuxe one but it doesnt help
Amanda Kaufman You should try Dr Lipp's nipple balm. It's a lip balm don't worry, I got the recommendation from one of Tina's other video and tried it for myself. It works really well.
I feel ya gurl
I just love your methods on how to evaluate the coverage of foundations! 😍
lol your mom is just a regular vietnamese mom! 😅
+Neyla Kara haha tell me about it!
Tina Yong like when im too tan and my mom says that im a "nga kue" (dont know how i should write it) 😂
Neyla Kara ahh it''s "nhà quê" it means " cloddish" ☺️☺️☺️
I use missha cushion. I like how Tina is so honest about each product.
I think it's no different from geisha makeup where the body color is very different from the skin color.
Da heck 😂😂😂
YES! I've been to Korea once and it's really shocked me when I see a lady with really WHITE face! YES IT'S WHITE! I was like O_O!! I don't understand the trend even though I'm from Asia.
Karmun I don't really mind seeing a fair face but I would be shocked too if it was a WHITE FACE 😰😰😰
Abigail Jeong I hate spreading rumours about Korea...It is NOT the trend! Most people think it's ridiculous to make thier face and neck colors noticably different.
I love the brow products, it actually made your brows that much lighter! but I'm in love with the gloss, it's so pretty :)
Do 100 LAYERS OF WHITENING CREAM!!!!!!!!!!
Legally Broken noo
Please do a tina tries it of the 10 step korean skincare routine!!
she looks beautiful!! Tina this korean look suits you very well!!
I have this problem as well Tina.. It sucks! What has helped me a little in the past is rubbing a little bit of Witch Hazel on my lips and then rinsing it off after a good 5-10 minutes.
+Moldy Bipolar thanks for the tip!
I can't even begin to describe how much I love your makeup in this video! And even more than your makeup, I love YOUUUU 😍🙈
lmao do a 100 layers of that whitening cream
me too lol
i feel like after three she'd just look like a corpse xD
Off point here. Just wanted to say I love listening to you talk. Your voice is nice, your accent is lovely and more importantly, you are eloquent and precise in your speech. I feel like I'm wasting my time watching your videos, unlike my experiences with other makeup youtubers
same here I got really dry lips try to scrub them with olive oil and sugar it really helps💖
miss boo I found a lip scrub that's really effective and I'm in love: it's made by Tarte. They have one in a tin that I keep in the bathroom and a lipstick form that I keep in my purse: what I love is that the sugar is so fine it stays on your lips without falling off like larger sugar granules. And it's natural as well. I love the olive oil too. I'm all about natural skin care.
I love Tina Tries It/Makeup tutorial. You should do more of these! & you are so beautiful.😍
Thank you for your great videos I love all of it ❤❤❤❤❤ Do more of Tina tries it ❤❤ and do a kpop idol tutorial😍😍😘😘😘
Loving how you look and I want the eyeshadow, brow, mascara, and lip oil products for myself! Excellent combo video! Please do more!
Tina you should try putting on Vaseline onto your lips overnight for at least a week and that would help with the dryness of your lips cause I used to have dry lips but now they are so moisturised because of the Vaseline
+Vivian Lau thanks for the tip!
I did the same and it works wonderful, better than any lip balm I have used
Vivian Lau
Hi tina
Tina Yong hi Tina do you live in Korea if so you might know my aunt Sae- eun
This looks beautiful Tina! The colours really suit you, it looks kind of boho with your hair down.
yay! u read my comment about april skin! nice make up tho!
+Rin Sae hehe thanks for the suggestion!
Tina Yong omg u replied >~< thank you!!!!!!!!!! you look really pretty!!!!!😍😍😍
Tina Yong hi tina pls do more of worlds most beautiful lipstick in different shades!
All the make up actually worked pretty well,I'm really impressed with how you made it looked amazing on you in the end; overall this is the kind of stuff I subscribe to 😍
Can't help but to laugh out loud everytime you say about alive, bring life, pale, twilight effect OMG xD
I'm using cushion too, I'm using Missha Cushion Cover and the color is more human I think for even the same number (23) with April Skin but correct me if I'm wrong because as I see the color of April Skin on your skin it looks totally whiter than Missha's one.
I know that the Laneige cushions have more than the typical 2 shades out there, I'm usually a shade 23 but I'm shade 21 ish right now
I'm using the Laneige Pore Control BB cushion
I'm an NC 35 in MAC and Laneige (which you can find at Target) has a shades that matches mine, lighter, and darker skin tone as well!
The thumbnail image of this video is your best look ever.
Its very hard for me to find foundations that suit my skin tone. Maybe i should try out some Korean beauty
Hope I can help you beautiful ladies!
rocknrollaforever45 What's the undertone? I think either that ivory or the alabaster would work for me. Thanks for the tip!
undertone? what do you mean? lol i'm not super good with makeup hahaha you're welcome!! :) hope it helps!
Warm undertones have pink, cold undertones have blue, neutral might have a yellow.
I love how you're using so many korean products to produce a look and not just one product is being tested
Tina! do a "how I did my make-up in highschool"
I loooooove your makeup look in this video! so fresh and pretty!
Woow never been this early
Love this look so clean and sleek. Perfect for everyday!
She's so pretty, I'm jelous
jealous*
Emma Ganbold Same, but we're all pretty in our own way c:
IM SO HAPPY U ACTUALLY MADE A VIDEO ON THIS AFTER WE ASKED U !!!! THAAAAAAAANK UOU SO MUCH
I still can't find jimins jams help me plz Tina 😂😂
I think I really want to try the two sides mascara. thanks for sharing tina!
Haha....i am SUPER PALE the whitening cream could literally be foundation for me 😂😂 maybe not completely white but when I wear makeup I usually use concealer for foundation
I really like pony product!!! TINA YOU LOOK SO GOOD!!!!
Can you make a video on some makeup products from "Tina Tries It" that you use everyday?
I love that look much bigger that your common look (with instagram eyebrow and big eyelashes), it's looks super natural and beautiful.
Tina you never rated the products😱😱 my favourite part of your videos!🙈😩
yeah I thats the thing i really love the most about tina yong
Oh my gosh Tina, I love this vid! You look so beautiful! Hahaha I know it was very surprising to see the shade was very light for the cream and the foundation, light tones and shades are a thing in Korea, but glad you were able to work with it! Love the look! ❤
I LOVE Pony but her palette was quite dry to me n it lacked pigmentation.
and the fallout was....
Yeah, exactly. :/
For me, I like the Pony Effect eyeshadow palette the most cause it can use for various functions , like using on eyebrow area, eyeshadow, nose contouring & highlighting. I really love all those colours cause they look really pigmented & very buildable.
Try brushing ur lips with a toothbrush every morning. I have the same problem and my lips are now always smooth an soft. Love you:)
Saron Bereket wow I should try that too!
but before that, apply vaseline mixed with a drop of cinamon extract leave it on the lips for a couple of minutes then exfoliate with a tooth brush, all the dead skin will peel off in a second!
ham ousa thanks for the tip! :)
i love how your makeup turned out and my favorite part, of course, is the eyeshadow!
Loreal cushions have a lot of shades!!!
omg i remember suggesting about korean make up. thanks tina i love your videos. and i love how this particular vid turned out. like she became experimental with the products. 💕💕💕
I don't wear makeup so I'm not really an expert, but if that cushion foundation was the darkest shade, what about POC?
Korean makeup is targeted towards Koreans - not POC.
Leann oh okay, thanks :)
Loreal also has a line of lumi cushion foundation
On my daily routine I use the ampoule intense cushion by Innisfree. When I want a more elaborate one, I use the one I made myself (it's basically Etude House's Cotton Fit BB Cream + a little bit of moisturizer by The Face Shop + a little bit of Clio's concealer + a little of MAC's creamy highlighter)
The legend says if you are early Tina will reply
I use the Laneige Pore Control BB cushion! I like that it's more matte than other cushion compacts plus it's got decent coverage!
I'm paler than her after she put on the whitening cream hahahhahhahahahahaaaaaa
.
ha
Kalista Willington same. Lol when she was like "I'm so white" I giggled. That's actually a normal shade of white compared to my skin. I'm so pale you can actually see the vains in my hands & arms. That ain't normal lol
Kalista Willington -
you look so glowy and radiant with this look! love it :)
Is it just me or when she put the whitening cream on she looked a little bit like Mulan
omg i am literally obsessed with that eyeshadow pallette!! you slayed that look btw, ly 💟💟
just want to say that korean people wanting to have paler skin is just a matter of preference.
Your eyeshadow is so on point (actually everything is so on point omg) you're amazing hehe
I can't really figure out why someone would want their skin to be white and they're not even look alive.
On the other hand, I really don't understand this tan/fake tan/bronzing skin trend either.
If you have really dry lips, I recommend the brand Carmex. I use the Carmax original lip balm when ever my lips feel really dry. It keeps my lips soft especially right after I exfoliate them.
Love this video!! Obsessed with all Korean beauty products 💜
I am using loreal cushion foundation and i love it, such a beautiful glowy finish :) Love that korean skin were the skin is very glowy
It looks so gooooood omhgg Tina why r u so good w coming up w different looks
It's buildable and the application is quick.
the eyeshadow palette.. love it!!
Tina knows Ponyyy😲😲😲 how cool 😄 both are my super favs especially PONY💖 I'm so glad that tina mentioned pony on her video and used her product and liked it 😁 yeaa my beauties go ahead❕💪💪 your big big fan is here!! xD
Marie Dalgar cushion foundation!!!! LOVE IT
i just love tina tries it
i use etude house's any cushion cream filter atm, it's very sheer/light coverage and comes in 5 shades. it also has a dewy finish which i like because i have dry skin, but i know some people are more into a matte look. :) i recommend it for people who don't like wearing much makeup but want to give their skin a little boost.
Hi Tina Yong I love your tutorials and you look like a Korean actress
