If you run out of ideas. Mabye doing one on the strengths of the axle (especially for those of us going for high hp xdrives) would be a good idea. Thanks again for what you do :)
I would definitely love to see other upgradable parts that would keep our chassis more solid. Drivetrain solutions would be a nice thing to cover as no one wants to bust a drive shaft...
I seem to be hitting a wall which I assume is the lpfp on my gen 2. I’m staying DI only, I have Fx400X HPFP, S58 injectors, omega 65 turbo. 29 psi making 620whp and that seems to be the limit. From your experience is this an LPFP limit?
Thanks for that bank of information, really appreciate it,I just got myself the vargas gc turbo, which of the dorch pumps would recommend?I don't want to have to change later on,I will be running on 99 Ron,possibly going to run meth, depending on what figures I can achieve, any information will be great
I just spoke to carbahn tunning. They told me that they have heard of about 8 B58’s who have blown their engines recently due to using bootmod3. Can you confirm this is true in what you may or may not know? He told me a customer car is currently spending 17k to eother build or rebuild a b58 in their shop 😅 now I’m spooked to remove my carbahn flash for a MHD? Thoughts?
Hey i was wondering if i can run a the New Pure 800 turbo in my 2017 340i without a dorch fuel pump. Would my TU pump be enough? If not is there any upgraded turbos that run well with the TU pump? Thankyou love the videos.
Hey Kern i keep getting code 11A002 , 11A030 under wot when in comfort mode. I have stage 2 ACN91 , B58 with straight pipe. Obviously somthing to do with fueling do you recommend replacing LPFP?
Ok thanks ill do that. I also never had these issues prior to tuning to stage 2. I appreciate your qualified response. Thanks for your awesome help and for saving my car from any major damages.
Is factory LPFP brushless?... REALLY would be easy to drop in the 1001 e5lm or whatever that thing is and add all the overhead in the world. It's a PWM brushless pump, very common. There's some new Bosch pumps and DW pumps as well. Id love to see what the signal is that it's using for the pump controller, could just hijack the signal and run it through a different controller that is programmable. Why is no one running a killer chiller/interchiller type setup? Seems like for the $ it would be very worthwhile. Whats the OEM intercooler pump? Looks like a CWA 50. Could run a CW200 or 400, water tank and small mini fridge 12v system/heat exchanger in the trunk, get crazy low iats without meth. Again reducing complexity in the actual engine bay.
To clarify you mean the pump setups right? I know for a fact the AC cooled setups do work, nothing new. BMW even uses one in one of the M3s. GTS maybe?
Literally all of it lol. Drop in pumps burn up the ekp. Interchiller is extremely complicated because of how our ac system is liquid cooled with the same coolant that is used in the intercooler 🙃 and a few people have done ice boxes but the oem pump can be ramped up in speed and it doesn't help a whole lot
@@kern417 yeah there's definitely a point where you need some 'dwell' time to extract the heat. What do you mean our AC is liquid cooled? The compressor is? Dammit down the research rabbit hole. Anyways, I was planning on running closed loop, disconnect it from anything else in the loop with it's own 'icebox' (really just a resi but with a bigger cap I suppose lol.) So intercooler coolant path from the resi/trunk goes pump, intake, front OE water/air H/E, freon/water HE, long ass hose, trunk. Now the freon block could be put in any section of the loop, but seems like the best most consistent street setup is to run the 'super cooled' water to the trunk with the goal being bring the overall temps down of the entire circuit as a buffer, however running it straight to the intake would make some nutty low IATS. However running a 12v mini fridge compressor in the back would undoubtedly be simpler, and in that case the freon block would be cooling the whole tank when active. The rest of the system would pretty much operate as normal with simply more thermal capacity, and some insulation on a few lines. For what it's worth, we're talking about well under $1000 to do this. It's a proven concept. Meth is a pita. This is something that works all the time on any car and simply put makes every day feel like a cold day. Especially for those who are competetive, or doing repeat gapplebees pulls, the difference will be substantial. Another stupid (I mean genius, of course) idea is to make a tank INTO one of the coolers for ultimate soccer mom hidey ness in the X3... Could just recirc most of the time, but on icebox reqd events, permanent icebox? Im trying here. I always go the why didn't I pay someone to do this they told me so method

Are these still available? Page is dead at PFS and Vargas' websites.
