You have fitted the late (after Nov 1999) bearing on a car that has the early ABS system. Apparently, this sort of works, but the number of "teeth" per revolution is different, so it may throw an ABS error in tight corners, and the ABS will not work entirely as it should.
Love You old son. The beautiful videos I learnt. I own a facelift 06 156 V6. In Australia brother. Got a few relies there. Catch up with my old cuz if you're in the hood. U make it look easy.
Hello from Wolverhampton, Can you tell me the torque setting for the hub nut please? also have you done a video removing or installing a manual roof? Thank you.
Brilliant thank you. Couple of questions: What is the torque spec please? I notice the bump stop cups are destroyed which I know is common. Is that an MOT failure? If you ever do a GTV front wheel bearing could you do a video on that. Many thanks 👍🏼👍🏼
@@ItaliaAutos Aaah too bad. I had one bearing done by the garage (forgot if it was front or rear). Now I hear another one (or the new one?) singing on the left side and was wandering if I could do that myself. Problem also is how to detect a faulty bearing with the car on a lift and lots of noise around you!
hi guy nice vid thanks a lot, i have a strange noise on mine only when i turn left seems comming from rear, like suspention spring noise any idea? rear suspention is new i ve changed it but noise still there?
apparently there are 2 types of rear wheel bearings - one for magnetic ABS sensor and another one for the older ph1 cars. I do not think they are interchangeable... Can anyone confirm?
@@ItaliaAutos I just bought a pair for ph1 - apparently it is mandatory they should have the ABS "teeth". Anyway please keep us posted with the difference :) BTW - truly helpful videos! Thanks and keep it up!
Yea, they are not interchangeable, had the some problem, bought the magnetic one, and abs is not workingwith those due to the sensors, and the mechanic thingy. Not recomended to mix this up.
Can you do a how to change antirollbar bushings on 156-147 etc..? I know that the best thing is to remove whole antirollbar, but i saw couple of mechanics do it on the car.

Nice job Neil looks a real simple job for us diy people
It is easy jist doubting it's the correct bearing now lol.
@@ItaliaAutos My eyes were drawn to all your bumpers etc do u have a good stock of gtv panals
@@sylviamurley4968 yeah lots.

yeah anytime.
double checked today. Abs light is working as it should and no errors reported.
Perfect guide, keep up the great work!
You made it look so easy. Did it on my 166 (almost the same, only 36mm instead of 32mm) and it took me ages
Johnny Americano they are easy on these.
@@ItaliaAutos Torque?

love your videos, this is really helpful but i would love if you make the same video for the front wheel bearing
Noted!
@@ItaliaAutos I'm also interested in a video for the front wheel bearing
And where is the ABS ring?
welcome I'm from Zoli Hungary I would like to know the torque value of the Alfa GTV 916 front and rear wheel bearing
Nice Job again 👍 is it the same for a 147? Thanks ☺.
Hi mate, I have a 2005 147 1.6 which has a bearing going. Is it as easy a fix as this one ?
Brilliant thank you. Couple of questions:

bump stops are not a failure. torque specs available on internet.
What symptoms would I be getting if my wheel bearings going, getting pronounced squeak on mine at low speeds.
Do you also have a video for the front wheel bearing on a 916?
No I don't. I've not done one as you need a bearing press and most diyers don't have one

@@ItaliaAutos Actually I can use a bearing press at the DIY garage

book it in with me and ill take a look
@@ItaliaAutos great thanks for the quick answer but what did you mean by book it?
Make an appointment and I’ll take a look at it in person. Thanks

To be honest never noticed the difference untill it was pointed out. It's been test driven and no and light on. Somthing I'll have to look at monday.

Thanks very much, very helpful indeed. Plse consider doing a clutch replacement on a 156 V6. Take care.
done one on the gtv resto series.

I know that the best thing is to remove whole antirollbar, but i saw couple of mechanics do it on the car.
It's easy to remove. Just take all the bolts out of the subframe so it drops a few inches and roll bar will slide out.
@@ItaliaAutos
Do i have to hold subframe with something? I have a feeling that everything will fall on me. :D
Torque?
Nice work! Love you channel :)
Sorry just a silly question maybe...
I've just noticed that the new bearing has no ABS ring like the old one?
its just a different brand of bearing with a different looking abs ring. All working fine.
👍👍
Yet another job I need to do! :0(
