    Hi there, my name is Gareth Lamb and I build channels for profit. Channel Profits is about showing you how to make money on TH-cam while accelerating your channel’s growth. If you’ve been wondering how to make money online, then TH-cam is one of the best ways to generate semi passive income. Contrary to what many people think You DON’T even need to be in the videos. In fact you don’t even need to make the videos. Faceless channels are growing in popularity because of the TH-cam automation trend. You just hire people or use A.I tools to make videos and then monetise the views you get. It’s cheaper than paying for ads so it’s also perfect for businesses. So if you want to discover how to earn money online, generate free traffic and how to grow on TH-cam FAST, then you are in the right place.

    I deleted all my old video when I tried to change niche, and it caused my channel deranked and my subscribers decrease no much view like before, but gradually my channel regrowing.

    That’s exactly how I feel about subscribers. I don’t think they need to subscribe because TH-cam will keep feeding them your content if they like it. Problem is there’s you need 1000 subs do get monetized

      It naturally happens anyways, just with more active subscribers.

    Love this topic! Thank you!
    I started my channel in 2017 and it's been a fun ride. I was able to scale it to have my wife and I quit our jobs to work on it full time.
    I've had videos about credit cards, affiliate marketing, online jobs, remote jobs, side hustles, all go viral at certain points. But then I stopped posting for about 9 months on the channel. (This was 2020 or so)
    I started posting back on the channel in 2021, but a much more niched down approach talking abotu blogging and affiliate marketing. Nothing I posted on the channel did well for about a year. Not one video over 1,000 views.
    I always knew in the back of my mind that the old content would probably do well on the channel, but I had been burned out creating that type of content.
    Well fast forward to Nov 2023 and I decided to jump back into the game of the channel. Starting in 2024, I hired an editor to prevent burnout and started creating content that I know would work well on the channel.
    Well, it hasn't worked as well as I was thinking. Even though I have had one video that has gotten 20k views, the others have been lackluster.
    Long story short, I've pretty sure I've confused the mess out of the TH-cam algo and believe I have an issue with a split audience.
    So my question is... should I start a new channel or just keep pushing my way through until I force the algo to see me like it once had?
    The channel has 61k subscribers and would rather not start from scratch unnecessarily. But I think the split audience is bogging down my stats and it's not hitting the thresholds to really get pushed by the algo.

      That doesn’t sound like you have too different a niche. It sounds like a content idea and execution issue. I would refocus on what you think your channel avatar ultimately wants and how you can make your ideas and videos better. It’s also a competitive niche, but those views monetised in the right ways can be very lucrative. It’s not about big numbers of views but good quality views

    I started this new channel after my old channel with nearly 30k subscribers started to bleed subscribers after I changed my niche (a couple times, yes a couple lol). I know subs are more of a vanity metric these days but it really hurts having to start over. My interests have just changed over time, hence the shift. Are there any good cases to try to reboot a channel or do you think it's not worth the effort?

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      unless it's vlog style and the audience are interested in you personally rather than the actual topic/niche. Then yes chances are most of your audiences won't be interested. You have to think of these as real people not subscribers. You can't force people to like what you like. They watched your content for a reason. You can slowly try to switch but you'll be losing them as fast as you get them. so up to you.

    In terms of the algo deciding to promote or not promote your videos, how do you think unchecking the "Publish to subscriptions feed and notify subscribers" checkbox on an old channel compares to posting a video on a new channel with no subs?

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It doesn't really matter anymore. It's about current relevancy. it's why asking for subs is a waste of time. When you look at the data only about 1-2% of views on average come from subscriber notifications. And in most cases even less. I get about 0.5% on my channels. People watch what YT puts in front of them. If you are still showing interest in a channel and it's content then YT will keep pushing it to them. So i would only turn it off if you are reuploading and don't want to send subscribers another notification.

    • @odddirector
      @odddirector 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@channelprofits Yes I might have noticed that yt still shows the video to some of the subs with this checkbox unchecked (my friend who is a sub told me), on the other hand one other subscriber who is a fan of the content, commented yt stopped showing the videos to him.
      So I guess its both, which means unchecking that checkbox is really NOT the same as uploading to a new channel, unfortunately.

How long do you think it would take to turn the scales and get a new audience? I feel like I'm making good content (I think at least), but the CTR is very low as it's getting pushed out to my old subscribers who subscribed for different content.

    Hi, I started my channel as a lifestyle vlogger , talking about social matters etc. My channel reached 1.6k subscribers naturally and the views were good( they matched my subscriber count.
    I started doing Asmr videos just to gain the remaining hours I needed (1k hours) so I get monitized.
    (I then gained 1k subscribers from those Asmr content naturally.
    But now that I’m monitized , Is it going to hurt my channel if I go back to my original niche ? Lifestyle content (because that’s what I’m passionate about).
    I’ve slowly started posting lifestyle content on my shorts and the same Asmr people (some of them are viewing and commenting , not as much as the Asmr video but they are slowly watching the shorts.
    Eventually I want to post my lifestyle content as long form videos.

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It will probably hurt you a bit. Depends how many switch to the old content. YT is not a one size fits all game. But you may get away with more seen as the channel is more about you vs a fixed topic

    Hey i have this account with 6.6k followers but was a lofi music channel a year or two ago . I am thinking of starting to upload regular TH-cam videos on sketches and painting. Should I do it on a new channel or should I continue in this same account. Please suggest.

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't want to be rude, but did you watch the video? this is what it was about. Anyways you can continue using the same channel, but if it's a completely new niche then your audience probably won't watch the new content and it will slow growth. So up to you. If you are still unsure watch this video in full again and maybe the other rebrand videos on this channel as it will help. Good luck.

    I watched a video on fair use and i really wanted an answer to this question.
    You cant use other people's video content so freely, wat about uploading original movie trailers that are up to 2-3 minutes. Isnt it against the whole fair use thing, there is a channel that post movie trailers and it doesn't seem to be a trouble. How? Why?

    • @channelprofits
      @channelprofits  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because it’s free promotion for them. They may even have permission as they are bigger channels. Not always the same for smaller channels. If you are giving some commentary and positive you may get away with it. People like good free marketing. But they may also have channels of their own and want to keep it just there. It’s a difficult one. Best option is to heavy repurpose and add value for fair use.
