    Id like to note something here for anyone installing this on a 2018 or newer 4runner. I installed this unit on a 2022 4runner last week using this exact same harness. (TPH-021). Install was seamless. However, i never got the blue/green flashes from the unit indicating that the module was actively calibrating. I was also getting yellow/red faults. I did some digging on REDARCS website and found a write up in the FAQ section. According to the information on their website the harness in this video interferes with the factory wiring bc of a diode that's factory installed and prevents the module from auto calibrating due to feedback voltage. REDARC instructs to purchase the universal harness TPH-025 and splice it with the factory harness that comes factory with the 2018+ 4runners I don't know if this guy had the same issues i had with this harness or not. I advise anyone to take this video with a grain of salt and do the research pertaining to the specific year model of your vehicle. Good luck!

    I installed the Redarc Tow Pro Elite with just stick it on the fuse box using double sided tape beside parking brake in my 4runner. Nice to watch your video sharing!

    So did i miss the part where the controller gets hooked up the truck? I just saw the part where it was zip tied behind the brake pedal.

    • @ProjectBasecamp
      @ProjectBasecamp  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I suppose I didn’t get that part, but it’s a direct connection, so it should be pretty easy to find

      I watched the entire video to find out HOW the controller connects to the Runner. You left that out! Can you confirm my 2022 4Runner 4x4 Limited has the connector to plug into the wiring harness from Redarc?

    What is the most minimally invasive way requiring no drilling of holes. I also need it secured so it doesn’t rattle or make any loud noises in cab as this vehicle is meant to go off-road.

      Exactly as you see in this video. There were no holes drilled.

    I followed your instructional video. But, after installing it and started the 4Runner I didnt see the Led blue or green lit as I press the control knob. Whereas when your friend first started his 4Runner after the install I saw you pressed the knob and it lighted blue. Do you have any idea why mine didnt? TIA🤓

    • @ProjectBasecamp

      They don’t really power up until you connect a trailer, maybe double check it when you connect your trailer? With the plug and play harness it shouldn’t have any issues.
