    Excellent recommendation on the Charleston Bloody Mary mix. I don't even drink but I have a bottle in my fridge right now, it's so good.

    My family and I visited Charleston for the first time last summer. We ate bbq pretty much the whole time, my husband loves bbq. It was also our first time eating southern bbq and we couldn't get enough of it. We ate at 5 different bbq places, all were amazing. We ate at the English Pub you're showing in the clips, "Griffith" I thinks it's called.
    I'd also recommend eating at a roof top restaurant. The views were amazing along with the food.
    We went to Charleston for the historical places not knowing how amazing the food is. It was a wonderful surprise, I'm excited to visit again some day and will try some of the food you mentioned.

    Great recommendations! Every time I visit Charleston I make a point to visit Leon's where you can get a 'flight' of different regional oysters on the half-shell .

    I’ve always said purr-loo. But when a local says something someway, that’s the right way, no argument allowed.

    there is a small historic liquor store in charleston on bay st right next to the old exchange and dungeon museum called the tavern at rainbow row, we saw some local moonshine and whiskeys sales guy there who had some stories and then some free samples it was cool they have some south carolina style of whiskey or rye or whatever it might be called palmetto its made with something slightly different then bourbon its sweeter

    I’m a few months late to this, but I live in SC & we call it “chicken bog” down here, but it is actually pirlou pronounced per-low. We have local bogs-off where everyone makes their homemade chicken bog & it’s amazing!

    We usually stay at the Mills House when in Charleston. Walk to restaurants
    1) Eli's Table for breakfast. Great omelets, chicken & waffles and beignets with a berry dipping sauce.
    2) Sandwich shop on Broad east of Market.
    3) SNOB on Bay St. Amazing entrees and desserts
    4) Usually not my favorite but there's a great Brazilian Steakhouse on Bay.

    Anybody who loves barbecue and is interested in trying South and mustard-based BBQ sauce needs to go to Bessinger's BBQ on Savannah Highway. It's the gold standard, no pun intended.

    Low country perloo is pronounced like a cat purring low so "purr-low" or if you're north of the Santee river it's called a chicken bog

    You also probably follow a bunch of his channels so they could be out of order that way. But I'm sure some videos take more time than others to edit so depending on how much time he has in his life. Haha I'm just happy to see his happy face and listen to the excitement in his voice!

    i tried grits in san fran and it was disgusting BECAUSE i felt it tasted more like a savoury thing so eating it underneath something with flavour sounds like it would work. i'm in the uk so we don't have that. i'm guessing the closest thing is porridge but that's sweet for us.

    Its pronounced like "PURR-LOW". Grew up here and thats how everyone from here pronounces it. Its very hard to find an authentic one believe it or not.

    Was that deviled eggs with bacon on top??? Those didn't look like pimentos. But now I have to try deviled eggs with fresh cooked bacon.... Please tell me that's what that was!!!

    • @WoltersWorldEats
      @WoltersWorldEats  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, there was a shot of deviled eggs with bacon. Just make sure your bacon is well blotted as the grease is incongruent with the yolk.

    Why are your videos so hard to follow? It's never in chronological order. One day you are Lithuania, the next day you are in Pittsburgh. You release summer videos in winter and winter videos in summer. So confusing.

    • @woltersworld
      @woltersworld ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I've found that viewers get bored by a destination after two videos so I mix up my release schedule. Otherwise the viewership dies. I actually started this Wolters World Eats channel so I could get the food videos out near the main dints videos. Hence why the dints of Charleston came out on our main channel (the one I'm writing from) yesterday. Also we do not upload from destinations we are currently at due to safety issues that have come up previously where other youtubers were attacked because people knew where they were. So the Short answer is, viewers' tastes and safety.

      @@woltersworld Thanks for letting me know. I thought you film for a year and take off for a year. I totally understand. Many travel youtubers you can see the destinations in order, but I guess this works as well.
