- In this video, I share my 15 types/varieties of sansevieria plant collections (mother in law tongue, trifasciata zeylanica, Trifasciata Laurentii, Futura Superba, Futura Simplex, Bantel, Bantel Sensation, Sansevieria starlight, Silver laurentii, Sansevieria moonshine, sansevieria masoniana, Whale Fin, sansevieria masoniana Dwarf, Dwarf Whale Fin, sansevieria Gracilis, cylinder, sansevieria black dragon, sansevieria black star, sansevieria Hahnii, sansevieria Golden Hahnii, sansevieria Robusto, sansevieria Parva, Kenya Hyacinth ) and make a detailed comparison in close up shot and show you the details of their appearances so that you can know which one you are buying or having in your collections.

What a great collection of Sansevieria, I bought a sans. francisii and I had my doubts about its real name, but I knew I didn't have it, thank you for showing me that I actually bought a maisoniana whale fin dwarf.

This video was very helpful in identifying my snake plant. I had bought a "premium sansevieria moonshine" from Home Depot but the white margins did not look like a true moonshine to me. Now I know it is a silver laurentii - thank you so much! I appreciate all the details to help identify the differences between each snake plant.

You have a lovely collection. Thanks for sharing. I noticed you grow many of them in what appeared to be improved garden soil. Do you find you have enough drainage. I realized looking at this that I am very lucky to live in a place where soilless mixes with perlite and even pumice are readily available. The Hahnii's have recently become my favorites. Thanks again and happy growing.
Hi. Thank you for your wonderful comment. Yes, I make my own potting mix which includes one ingredient which makes the soil very loose and well draining.

I picked up a sansavaria 0lant today, but I have no idea what type it is..... The moonshine, is the one to the right if the one you showed, is that one also a moonshine ?? The one I picked up seems to be more similar in colour . Not as light as the one you were showing but still a very light/pale green ... Would this be a moonshine aswell??
Hi, yes the right is also moonshine. Young leaves or new shoot leaves are usually light in colour compare to the matured leaves or older leaves.
