Absolutely. However, my mom would say that that is NOT normal. But she doesn't even home cook anything (based upon my childhood, likely a blessing), and the last time I was there, I had to borrow a screwdriver (seriously) from a neighbour.

With the ingredients you say you can throw out.. could you freeze dry it and blend it up and put it in Capsules? That's something I'll be doing with my fire cider bits that would normally get thrown out!

I can't seem to find any information on preparing the milky oats. We grow oats for our animals and green manure. I have a lot that are still milky. When you purchase them online, are they freshly cut and still wet or have they been dried? I have to rinse mine at least because of birds and dust. Should I dry them before making the tincture or use them as soon as possible?

As an anxiety sufferer, I can't believe I've never heard of milky oat tops! I wonder why it seems lesser known than other herbs.
Are the milky oat tops you purchase online dried or are they green? Is most vegetable glycerine the same as long as it's organic. I'm trying to find a good brand that is cheaper than the one you posted but just as good. I have your book and love it. Ordering another one for a Christmas gift. Thank you.

Essentially I do 1/2 milky oats in the jar, and then about equal parts of everything else to fill up the other half

Hi Amy, is it acceptable to substitute Oatstraw for the milky oat tops?
oat straws do not have the same medicine as truly the oat tops when they're in the milky stage. the milky oats support our brain cells!
If making a tincture of these herbs, would you still need to fill the jar with herbs? I'm thinking alcohol extracts better/more so filling herbs half way and topping with alcohol would still make a strong medicine?

Question : is vegetable glycerin highly processed like vegetable cooking oil? I have a couple alcohol tinctures going but was wondering if glycerin is actually healthy. I like your videos.
I don’t like glycerin, and I meant to mention that in this video. It is processed. However, it’s an alternative option for folks who can’t have the alcohol in a tincture due to health issues, or due to recovering alcoholism (which is why I make this for several clients).

You can always make an oxymel (apple cider vinegar) or other protocol liquid.
Would love to try this as I do have lots of these symptoms, but I’m allergic to wheat and oats. Any alternatives to the oats???
