    I'm European and I love this reviewer. Finally a European car reviewer that is reviewing an American car without being some sissy that constantly complains about hard plastics and performance specs or fuel economy and just enjoys the car for what it is. I love how this reviewer gets it. This is not just a car. It captures a state of mind. The essence of American culture. It brings the fun aspects of America to Europe and for that it deserves all the love. Amazing reviewer! He's a keeper. I also like that he can speak English without a terrible accent. I've also learned to speak English from American TV and I speak it with an American accent.

    • @ceounicom
      @ceounicom 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      ""he can speak English without a terrible accent""
      lol everyone else (americans) were finding it hilarious that his spoken English sounds like a very specific regional dialect, and not one that many other Americans necessarily like very much.
      He sounds vaguely like "working-class North-East", which could be anything from Northern New Jersey, to Boston Massachusetts... but probably closest to somewhere in a NYC-Boston corridor. what southerners would call a 'Cliche Yankee' accent. Some people find it a bit brash and arrogant, associated with a loud-mouth braggadocio attitude.
      The most common "boring, normal" American accent is actually something that has no specific location, but could be described as 'generic midwest' or 'TV-accent' (california).
      I found it strange because I'm from NYC and i honestly didn't believe he was German, even after saying so; it took a few minutes until i could hear the underlying pattern of speech that gave away that English wasn't his first language.

    • @weedmastersr
      @weedmastersr 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Someone said he watched a lot of Sopranos. Could be because of that?
      I speak with a generic American TV accent, like you'd find on most TV shows. Especially those produced in Vancouver, Canada. Many of the shows I like are made there. But most of the actors are American and they speak that generic California accent you've mentioned.
      I can also speak with an English accent. I was at a highschool specialized in English. Most classes were in English. That's how they taught us to speak English in school. Even the teachers for American English and American History had English accents.
      If I don't try to speak with a specific American/English accent, I just stumble in my speech and stutter. It's weird cuz when I try to speak in my native Romanian accent I'm useless at speaking in English but when I try to do a native American/English accent, I speak fluently. Maybe this presenter has found the same to be true.

American cars are different because they're built with different sensibilities in mind. It's like a person that owns a tiger bitching about it because it's not a lion.

      It looks like the changes they did from my previous generation Mustang, was to accommodate the cup holders in a way so you can still shift gears, but that came at the expensive of a shorter padded arm rest. They should just a have a side hinge arm rest with a flip out cup holders so you can still have storage space and hold your drinks while still being able to shift and having a normal padded arm rest when no cups are in use. Probably the best compromise you can get if you want cup holders in a Mustang.

    • @benanderson89
      @benanderson89 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      grabir01 It's even worse for right hand drive cars. Cup holders are still on the right hand side so your elbow ends up IN the cup holder. When there is a cup in there you can't shift gears!

    Love it, I'm Australian and I feel the same way.. We have a v8 brain here, with both Ford and GM shutting plants here this is on of the few v8 rear wheel drive vehicles. I must confess, I bought a EcoBoost, (soon to be tuned up to 260-270kw). For me I was actually going to avoid the Mustang if I didnt get the v8, but then drove the EcoBoost and it still gave me a grin from ear to ear. My reason was simply cost of fuel and as I bought it for work, I didnt want to spend huge sums of money on Petrol. Simply, the car is beautiful , its lines, its shape everything.. I agree the central plastic section needs a softer touch but Im 6;3" so my elbow is on the soft leather :) Anyway, really enjoyed your charismatic performance.. good to see the Mustang getting some love. Not sure what your sentiment is on the 2 star safety rating, I presonally dont care as I dont have rear passengers and dont need silly electronics. Anyway great video, I'll be sure to watch more of yours in the future. PS> I visited Bavaria, I wish I had such beautiful scenery to drive through.,,, oh and the beer.. Send me over some Augestiner Brau!

    Here in France, it was kind of the same: Ford imported a lot more 2.3 Ecoboosts than GTs because they thought very few people would buy the V8. Instead, while the 2.3 sold well, the 5.0 sold VERY well to the point that there was a lot of delay between the order and the receiving of the car because they didn't import enough GT versions and needed time to ship some to Europe. I don't remember the exact ratio of 2.3 sales to 5.0 sales but it was around the same than in Germany, it outnumbered Ford's expectations.
    Anyway, great video, pleasant to watch and damn those shots reveal the beauty of the car! Also imported Dodge RAM buddy @ 4:43

April or June 1964 I saw my 1st mustang coupe, a red one with the V-8 badge on the front fender, damn I wanted one,but not as bad as 63 1/2 white Ford Galaxie 2 door hard top fast back with it's 427 precision whirring, clicking beside my 54 Ford at a red light ha; what an awesome,beautiful and sounding car it was.

      There is a lot of muscle cars fans in Europe, unfortunately the fascist European socialism makes them BRUTALLY expensive, the cheapest 5.0L Mustang in Croatia costs 80.000€ and that's not even all, you have to pass the registration(EVERY year) and insure it after that and then on top of that pay car tax for the next 10 years on it. And if once you decide to sell it, the buyer again will pay ANOTHER 5% in used car tax. And you silly Yanks though you have beat the fascism in Europe lol...
