This is a full 70 minute intermediate restorative yoga class. You will need a bolster, 2 yoga blocks, meditation cushion, and an eye pillow to support you in these restorative yoga poses and incredibly relaxing yoga. We all do too much while taking too little time for physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual nourishment. Restorative yoga gives us time to restore our energy with relaxing yoga for stress relief and yoga that will help us get a good night's sleep.. In restorative yoga we are practicing supported, passive yoga poses. This restorative yoga sequence is yoga for your stress hormones, particularly high cortisol levels. With the use of yoga props such as bolsters, blocks, blankets and walls your body is supported into a state of recovery. This is yoga for anxiety and stress relief.
When we take the time to restore our energy, our stress hormones, particularly, cortisol lowers and we will experience more energy, deeper sleep, healthier menstrual cycles, better moods, and easier menopause. It is easy to blow through more of the energy that we gain from sleep, exercise, nutritious food and good company. We are constantly dipping into our energy reserves. The result is that we feel exhausted and even fragile. It takes a lot of courage to stop running, stop pushing, stop overspending our energy reserves and stop trying to please everybody.
With restorative yoga we can begin to regroup and rebuild. We can learn how to expend our life force energy economically and efficiently. We can create balance in our life by nourishing our energy. When we take the time to slow down, we find we have a spaciousness and gain some energy back to enjoy our life more.

With my age, 68, and multiple injuries and meditation pracrice I love restoritive yoga. Live classes are still close where we live. I introduced my wife to restoritive yoga through yur videos. We had a laugh when you said on this one that it would improve menstrual health. Not sure how many men practice but I love it (with adjustments).

Every pose was wonderful - but the twists were much much needed! I've been practicing power flows for many years, but nothing quite gets into those deeper areas and allows me to release/align like these long melting poses. I'm fascinated by many movement styles, dance, trail running, crossfit, and just overall monkey business.. and the restorative work is truly the foundation. Thank you for all that you do!

Thank you for having an intermediate restorative class. After many surgeries my excise is nearly non existent. I have been doing restorative classes for a while and cannot get to yin level yet! I have done this class two days in a row and honestly love it. Getting stronger every day!

I loved trying a new mudra today with pulling on ear lobes. I appreciate having another great class at perfect timing! I needed this class today after a long day of travel from Maine back to Utah, the two fabulous states that I get to live in.

After a long day of doing house chores, this class was fantastic and exactly what I needed! I learned two new poses I never did before and I love them! You are a wonderful instructor, gentle, nurturing, sweet, loving, down to earth, natural, genuine and so beautiful inside and outside! On overall wonderful restorative class. Many favourite poses in there and the one I had not yet practiced before was the supported side bend. I could feel the rip cage opening and releasing. The supported shoulder stand was very intense for me today but very good to stretch the psoas! 🌼🌺🌼

I did this restorative yoga class while I am on day one of my menstruation, and yes totally agree on the hip opening pose. I feel the same exact way!
thanks- so so much. the pose that relieved the most for tension for me was the inversion with all the support under the body minus the shoulders and head. I shared with a special someone in hopes for strength in calm and immunity.

My favorite pose was the Supta Baddha Konasana or Bound Angle Pose. I could have stayed there for 10 minutes or longer.
