So far its has given good and accurate representation of the visually impaired/blind community, storyline has been consistant & captivating & well written and character development/depth has been seen more and more as time goes on. As a person who is visually impaired. Every little detail here and there whether it was in the dialogue/scene or just in the acting, it was done brilliantly and felt intentional. Before Last Twilight that came out before the series started to air, they shared how they had made research for the show and the actors had prepared for their roles. What I loved the most is that Sea actually worked one on one in person with a person who is visually impaired in order to prepare for his role. I knew I would be able to relate Day but I wasnt prepared how much Day’s story would hit home for me. Day’s struggle with accepting his disability and what comes with that, adapting to his new life, grieving the person he was/life he had and the person/future he had imagined for himself, having to deal with society where ableism is very much present and people infantilizing/patronizing him ect, learning to navigate this world that was not build for us in mind/environments that arent accommodating and places that arent accessible to people with disabilities. When your condition is something that keeps deteriorating and you can’t do anything to stop it, having to give up things and some of your independence it is difficult to say the least, so I do not blame Day for feeling the way his is at the moment. It effects you physically but the toll it can take or how it can effect your mental health as well is unfortunately sometimes overlooked or forgotten. I would love to see Day get to a point where he has been able to get back his confidence and independence, for him to have accepted his disability & adapted to his life now and advocating for himself but most importantly for him to get to a point that he is happy. Day’s journey is an emotional for me. I love the little details in dialogue/scenes and just in the acting. Getting to see the pov from different sides was interesting to me like Day’s, Day’s family, Mhok ect. Seeing Day learning things and how Mhok was learning as well. Both of them understanding each other and respecting/treating each other like human being/regular people. That seems to be important to both of them at least if we go by what Mhok said about how despite him not having the ankle monitor people are still being able to see it and people not giving him a chance & with Day people only seeing his disability and not treating him like a human being ect. My favourite scenes have to be MhokDay interview scene and elevator scene, NightDay fight and the little prince scene. I hope this series continues to give good and accurate representation of people with a disability/disabilities and MhokDay as an interabled couple which hasnt as far as I know been seen much in a BL series before. I hope we get to see also how MhokDay develops from caregiver/client relationship to a to romantic relationship cause there is a difference there though.
I’m glad you both have decided to watch this series, i’m can’t wait to see more of your reactions. What I love about your reactions in general is your discussions and commentary. Its nice hearing honest and open conversation about different topics. I hope you’ll start to like the series more as time. The traffic scene where Mhok saves Day, its a bit different in the behind the scenes. If I remember correctly Day was calling out for help/for someone to help him ect. See you both next time.
Thank you for sharing your experiences, it’s really great to know that you feel represented and I appreciate your insights. I look forward to your future breakdowns 🙂
hey hey hey! Femmes React is now here to react on Last Twilight and i'm really looking forward to this. this is always the video which i have high expectation on giving commentary to series' that i've loved or have been loving. DC and Edison giving sound opinions and analysis and the DISCUSSION always supplementing my viewing expetience. i always need some frankness here and there. ❤❤❤
thank you so much for having this reaction video, DC & Edison. ❤ i assume that based on your reaction and commentary/discussion that you were very satisfied with what this series have portrayed so far coz you've only said less than 3 things that were "wrong" or could've been better. ❤
Hi DC/Edison, i would like to raise a question. what do you think about the Shining Society for the Blind not having Braille System on their building? (i.e. specifically on that elevator scene) PS. one of your fellow reactors address this issue since that building is more or less for the blind people. 😅✌️
I love your reactions and thoughtful takes + very entertaining. Found your channel via Only Friends reactions and very happy to tag along again for Last Twilight (and Cherry Magic)
Yay thanks for joining us for our Last Twilight watch! DC will be continuing watching Cherry Magic on their twitch stream, not sure if I have the energy to do both.
Oops reading/listening comprehension fail on my side 🤦🏻♀️ all good though and thanks for the reminder about twitch! One series at a time is indeed plenty
Hi! I don't think I have ever left a comment on your channel, but I did watch Only Friends with you! So nice to meet you! I love this series but I am going to refrain from talking too much about it yet because this is the first episode and I don't want to give spoilers and/ or hype up this strory too much cause I've noticed that you are a little bit more critical/ picky than most people 😅 So about the age difference between Mark and Sea, I was actually really curious as well cause Mark has such a baby face, so I looked it up and it seems like Mark was born in 1998 and Sea was born in 1999. So it makes sense for Mark to be an older brother even though they are actors and age shouldn't really matter I guess 😂. I hope you will keep reacting to this sereis! See you!
Thanks for commenting! Expectations definitely play a part in how I receive the story. Like I was wondering how Mark was going to be the older brother type because I thought he would have to play mature and responsible, but it makes sense after watching the whole episode because their dynamic is more of a rivalry. I shall try to keep watching with unbiased eyes 🙏🏻👀
I hope you like this series. I am really enjoying it. I feel, for me, it is shaping up to be one of the best drama BL series and is up there with eighth sense, I feel you linger in the air, I told the sunset about you and moonlight chicken.
ahh so excited to watch your reactions to this, I always enjoy listening to your discussions and I feel like with this show there's a lot of things to discuss about (how what this show portrays ties to reality etc) so I'm looking forward to the conversations you'll have if you do continue reacting to this. I absolutely love last twilight and am thouroughly impressed, I think that you can really tell that visually impaired people were involved in this show as well (in the workshops for sure though I believe P'Aof let real people's experiences influence the script as well). I felt similarly to Edison that the rescue scene in the traffic threw me off a little because it felt a bit too romantic at such an early point but well that's BL for you, I didn't mind it that much. Day and Mhok both having their own traumas and how that affects how they deal with each other and the world in general is also something I find really interesting, and sometimes the vibe of this show reminds me of Moonlight Chicken but it's more BL. P'Aof continues to direct bangers, I can already say Last Twilight is one of my favorite bls of the year, same as Moonlight Chicken (and My School President which P'Aof was on the writing team for as well). It makes sense you're still rather neutral since it's just the pilot but that makes me even more curious to see how your opinions will develop on later episodes
Thanks for your comment! I'm glad to know there are people who enjoy our reactions and will be here for this one. There was apprehension for me to watch this show because I'm v ignorant on disability issues but also this is probably an opportunity for me to learn. I can't work out how I feel about the traffic scene, but I'm going to assume pure intentions behind this production because of Aof and the community consultation.
Hey finally💕 i really wanted you guys to do this one😭 its really good- hope u guys will like it as much as we all are
I hope so too !

This is one of the series I’m really enjoying. I think you both will like it as you keep watching the episodes.
don't worry you'll see why its such a great show as you go on🩷
Thank you so much for this
Yay glad to hear from you and hope we enjoy the show as well 😀
i chose not to comment on some of the issues raised by Edison during the discussion/commentary coz there were answers on the subsequent EPs. 😅✌️

I do think it was strange how it didn't have braille but I'm sure there's a valid reason, it wouldn't make sense in real life to not.
