I knew SKY SAXON very well - He was born RICHARD MARSH in Utah - wow what greats gigs I did with him in Hollywood - I am sending love to you SKY SAXON up there in Heaven from your pal forever , Joe Nania - - - a.k.a. "Hollywood " Joe
I followed the Seeds as a teen, going to every show in SoCal. I remember Sky living in Malibu with his girlfriend and his Abyssinian cats. RIP Sky. I named my son after you.
Wouldn't be a Sky conversation without the extended 'we are our dog brothers' section! You're the Dimitris from the SSS Radio album aren't you? I was on the Goodstock tour with Sky and we listened to a lot of that CD, it was really cool. Can't believe no one's commented yet, so I figured I'd say something! Anyone who's met him can tell you, the time you get to spend with Sky is a time you'll not soon forget. RIP my musical/mystical road brother. Woof.
Sky was a holy man , a bright spirit and in this interview he gets all the respect he rightfully deserves from the host . Thank you Dimitris for sharing this priceless document .
thanku the nite i saw him in '67 in s.b.--evryone danced, the Doors opened 4 the Seeds. But bunnies r where its at--they make no noise til they cant stand it anymore. My bunny Meadow was the luv of my life, a YogiBunny, luved music, meditated. They dont stink like cats/ dogs cuz they r vegetarians;not predators. the interviewer is a Greek DJ like i was for 12 years (KCSB etc). he talks about animals walking on their hind feet--Meadow walked on her hind feet from the very 1st time i asked her to!
