    Since you mentioned footrests in this video, can you guys please do a video about the best ones? I don't trust the majority of videos I've seen about cheap and nasty footrests, so it would be nice to see you guys cover this.

    Loved the video! Short and straight to the point, while still including small details and tips for the best ergonomics. Watching your channel definitely improved my seated posture. Nonetheless, i've been using a DX Racer chair for 7 years so I'm highly considering a purchase of the leap v2 as a 5.10 dude with back problems

    Hi , thanks for the usefull content !
    I'm about buying an ergonomic chair and i'm wondering of the future benifits of the headrest that i could ergonomically leverage them .
    I daily spend hours of work on the desk . And i frequently feel some pain in my back , shoulders and neck , especially in my shoulders and neck .
    Intuitively, i've considered having a goog adjustable headrest .
    My question is that the headrest is maint only to play its role only when relaxing in a reclined position , or it can be used in an upfront position while tasking ?
    In my case i'm considring having the New Back Viasit chair , please tell me , according to my case, wether it could be a good choice.
    Thanks in advance !

    Another tip from an Embody Chair user:
    I used to work from home with comfort clothes, especially soft harem pants (large pants), with no underwear, I felt like the chair, after a long period of time was not so comfortable.
    Trust me, I found out it was because the pants only were too loose, the pants is comfortable, but for 8h on the chair it made the chair seat painful. Now I wear jeans (and underwear with this pant, of course) and I don't feel pain anymore.

    I sat in the Shaquille O'Neal chairs at Office Max today and the one with the tallest back was really nice. It was $549 (the other 2 Shaq chairs were both $449). Seriously, the most expensive chair made a great 1st impression, it was insanely comfortable and felt like it would give great support. Can you please give me a rating on this chair?

  • @skyagent7499

    For a 6'4" person which chair would you recommend (without budget consideration) knowing that a Amia Steelcase chair was *almost* perfect but not enough seat depth. It creates a gap I fall into. Can't seem to find one chair of the same range quality + design for my size... Thanks again for your super constructive advice. I'd love to see more videos for tall people (that are not fitting in the "BIG" and tall) lol.

    Such an underrated video.
    The amount of times I see ppl complain about pain when sitting in their new ergonomic chair, but not bother to sit properly, is astounding.
    When I first got the Mirra 2 and Aeron chairs, it took me a while to properly adjust them to my liking.

    I never see anyone talk about tension / recline adjustment. I can have my chair tight forcing me to sit in a upright position, or loose enough that I begin to lean back with just the weight of my upper body. No idea how this plays into ergonomics because nobody ever talks about it.

    Been sending a leap v2 back due to butt pain after some hours, otherwise the chair is perfect in all other departments...
    Already played around with height and depth to find a better spot but it sadly didnt stop from coming back.
    Now after having such an chair, its even harder to choose.... the Leap 2 was already very expensive.

    I'm a bit surprised how little active sitting chairs are featured here, is that not a thing in America? Rovo Ergo balance, Intherstul Pureis, Topstar sitness, Se7en flex and so on. I'm pretty sure the Fern has this somewhat as it and the PUREis line are pretty much the same concept. Is there a reason why this isn't featured here? Or have I missed something?

    • @btodtv
      @btodtv  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly, because using those chairs is a chore. We have a ton of content on active seating. We probably have around 15-20 different models. Almost all of them are pretty terrible for anything longer than 30-60 minutes and they aren't cheap. The Pure chair is a great example. I don't think it would be comfortable without the forced active sitting but the active sitting feature makes it even worse because you never get an actual break. Instead of being uncomfortable in an expensive chair all day, you may as well just get an actual comfortable chair and then pair it with a standing desk. Sit for an hour or 2, then stand for 30-60 minutes and so on. You are comfortable when seated and get the benefits of constantly changing positions throughout the day because of the standing desk. -RB

    Hello, could you do a review of the Secretlab Titan Evo 2022 Softweave version? I heard that the softweave fabric makes the chair softer and more breathable and might allow it to properly compete with the office chairs you guys so often review.

    • @StardustLegacyFighter
      @StardustLegacyFighter ปีที่แล้ว

      It's still no match for a high end office chair fabric and it's even further away from high quality mesh.

      @@StardustLegacyFighter What chair would your recommend? (Preferably around similar price)

    • @StardustLegacyFighter
      @StardustLegacyFighter ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yesno4378 With that budget, you'll only be able to get mid tier office chairs tbh, unless you don't mind getting a refurbished high end office chair.
      I recommend the Herman Miller Sayl and the Haworth Soji, if you want something brand new.
      As for refurbished high end office chairs, I recommend the Herman Miller Aeron, Mirra 2, Steelcase Leap v2, Amia and Haworth Zody.

    I’ve watched many of your reviews but still struggling to pick between a chair like the amia or a high end gesture or embody. Reason being I am roughly 6’4 200ibs and am scared mid tier chairs would not be tall enough for me and I also have big legs for my build. Any advice??

    • @TheRealtalk617
      @TheRealtalk617 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try some out, most high end chairs have a good return policy. Just make sure they come fully built and the company pays the return fee, that way you dont have to bother with the disassembly or the cost of return.

      I tried the Amia, I'm 6'4 - 170lbs and I fall in the gap between the back and the seat. Other than that this chair is amazing. I would have loved to find one with a more important seat depth.

    Ive never found a chair with appropriate seat height or depth

  • @HaohmaruHL
    @HaohmaruHL ปีที่แล้ว

    After several months I'm still trying to find a proper way to sit on the Leap chair so that my right leg won't start feeling tingly and stressed after a short period of time. I've tried every possible combinations with seat height and seat depth adjustments. It's like the chair is constantly pressing into the back of my leg but my left leg is completely fine. I'm starting to worry about long term health issues with veins/nerves etc. I'm finally ordering a foot rest to see if it helps.
    Any other tips?

    • @StardustLegacyFighter
      @StardustLegacyFighter ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a friend who had a similar issue, but with the Aeron.
      It turns out he's got more leg muscle on his left hamstring, which means that he feels the chair pressing into his left leg.
      He ended up getting a footrest to help prop his legs up a little higher, and he no longer gets any pain on his left leg.

    • @HaohmaruHL
      @HaohmaruHL ปีที่แล้ว

      @@StardustLegacyFighter I see. While waiting for my foot rest to arrive I've used a simple cardboard box with an appliance inside that I don't use and I can already feel some relief.
      I was using a second hand $6 simple kitchen chair before Leap and never had such problems. It's crazy that an ergonomic $1150 chair (local price I got it for) requires an extra solution like this. I dunno how common defects are with Leap but I got it from the official website and not some shady 3rd party place.
      I was initially choosing between Herman Miller and Leap, and while I absolutely loved the reclining on the Miller I felt the plastic thingy under the legs was too aggressive for me so I went with a softer Leap instead.

    • @StardustLegacyFighter
      @StardustLegacyFighter ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HaohmaruHL Comfort can be a very subjective thing, especially when it comes to office chairs, no matter the price.
      Most ppl do prefer the Leap v2 for its fabric cushion seat, however I've seen some ppl complain about the seat not being comfortable for them.
      It might be worth trying the Amia, if you've only recently bought the Leap v2, because that seat is considered to be much more comfortable, but it does sacrifice some flexibility.
