1965-1998 Washington Quarter Errors & Varieties Complete Guide - Values & Clear Explanation

- There are a notable number of valuable errors on clad Washington quarters from 1965 to 1998, so I made a clear and concise presentation to explain exactly what to look for and their values. There are quite a range of possible quarter errors to look for, and knowing the big coins will be very helpful. However, in addition to the major varieties, I also cover all of the minor varieties recognized by PCGS so that you have the complete picture. Two pieces of advice: when selling, remember that there generally aren’t tons of these coins on the market, so values can fluctuate based on demand at a specific moment when a coin comes to the market, and in general, look for coins in slabs that have missed variety attributions.

Thank you for this. Since you have to get your coin graded, it might not be worth it unless the Q's value is in the hundreds. Any idea on how much grading can cost?
Generally $40-$50 for these types of varieties, so you need to have some real value present!

Sir I have one QUARTER DOLLAR date is 1791 to 2001 how much price ?please sir
That sounds like a Vermont state quarter. If it is circulated, is not a proof, and has no errors then it is only worth the face value of 25 cents.

Those early doubled dies (1965-1971) are insanely difficult to find. I’ve hunted well over 100 boxes of quarters in the last year and I am yet to find one from that era.
Good point - likely why they are quite valuable!
@@TreasureTownCoins Yep! The best I have found so far is a 1976 D DDO FS- 101. It’s only in VF30-XF40 condition but I will take it!
