This video covers 20 different types of errors that are incredible to behold as they show what can go wrong at the mint. Despite producing billions of successful, problem-free coins, the mint also churns out a bunch of errors every year that were meant to be destroyed but somehow made it out of the facility, and this video will equip you with the basic knowledge of the wide range of what can happen. Thank you so much for creating this video. Collecting coins and searching for error coins is a hobby I started about 2 years ago. Although I enjoy it there's so much more I need to learn. This video is awesome and has already helped me an u am only 6 minutes in. Anyone that is newer to coin collecting and/or searching for error coins needs to watch this very informative video. So once again thank you!!! I downloaded it so I have it regardless of cell service
I found this video to be very informative.I always like to actually see the coin as the error is being explained.

Just how do I sell my coins? Where? I am near Stewart Florida!
Thank you so much theore I see your channel I find that I learn so much from here than anywhere else. User friendly and so informative I'm beginning and for the last year I struggle with stuff your channel literally has let me understand . Thank you now I'm going to go watch your other videos
One error this video didn't cover that really needed to be mentioned is the "stike-thru" error. That is when the one side of the coin is struck and it shows through to the other side of the coin. Example; Washington quarter, Eagle can be seen on when looking at Washington on obverse side of coin! Great video though! Thank you!!!!
Excellent educational content! Keep up the wonderful work.
Keep up the get work. I really needed this👍 Can't wait for the next one!
Thank you for your knowledge....even after 10 years hunting for Penny errors....I still am learning..

Christian i love your videos!!! You have such a pleasant way of teachings us newbies the understanding of such coins.... thanks
Hi Christian, I collect error coins, I really enjoyed seeing your video of them. I will look forward to future error videos. There have been Proof errors surface recently which are interesting. I especially like Type Coins errors and a Mirror Brockage with two heads or two tails. , but even common ones can be fun to collect. Thanks. Bill

So did you get a date with Chris yet? I'm curious!
Hello im from the philippine i have lots of old penny coins some of them are error, and how can i share my video to share it with you guys
Thanks so much for this ❤
I know I’m late to the video, but I have a 1955/1954 it has 2 different dates on the same coin. It is a 1955 wheat penny on the front, and on the back it is a nickel 1954 on the back. I know it’s a nickel on the back because the date is curved.
Great information and explanation!
Great video! I have an error not mentioned in this video and was wondering if you could tell me anything about it. I have a 1949 wheat with an improper mixing of alloy. Do you have any information on this?
I don't - but it could be rare! I'd take it to a local coin shop to get an evaluation!
Like a woody right? Looks like it has a grain to it like a piece of wood does? Its from incorrectly mixed metals making the platchet yes. And they are pretty neat looking. Unfortunately they aren't valuable. Though it is a mint error. The funny thing is that you can't even detect it until the coin gets some toning, but when it dies instead of the color changing uniformly it does it in tiny lines that are like stripes but so thin and numerous that it looks like it has a texture. Where all of the brush strokes are all going the same direction like /// they will be on both sides of the coin btw. But yes that's what I think you are describing
Great video!! 👍
Thanks!
A lot of these coins, to get them, I would think they would have to illegally obtain them. They should never have left the building.
thanks for the best information.
GOOD information 🎯🎯thanks.👍👍
I so needed this video now. I have quarters that appear melted.... Thank You!
💰🧘💰
Thank you!! Great explanations!! I do have one!!
Hi sir what do you call on the error coin that has missing part on the number of year made

Excellent video!!!

Thanks Harry!
I have a I have a 2018dime P mint mark with an Error on reverse who can I send it to? I just want to know if it’s an error
I like your videos, They are very helpful
Hi there I got a D 2008 Hawaii Quarter its solid no clad core is this a norm coin or error of metal
I enjoyed it, thanks ; what does fat letters mean, dates, etc, double die ? If so ,which variety , could you do a video showing your day ,or hours working . Install a motion detection device at entry, talk to yourself and give reason for things(choices) that you are making. Again thanks.
I have a 1917 planchette error, it's less then half the thickness of a normal penny, and the detail is fantastic, i don't know of any other 1917s that survived, i have pics, any idea on ballpark value, if in very fine or better condition?
I’ve got a quarter that i believe is an error type that you did not cover. I’ve heard about a “staple” getting struck onto a coin. How do I determine if it is one of those?
Also I subscribed to you for the info as well!
Thanks for info. I have a Lincoln head on one side the other seems to be a dime
The face is near mint, the back you can still see the details in the wheat, it's a great find, don't know of value, want to send it to be graded,
Good job!!
1989d-13:58 Is double mint marks p at it's place, and à d M.mark way up ,is a new error find??? Too bad it's not full band's!!
On a dime, sorry
Nice information thanks
Have a mint roll of Idaho quarters with what appears to be a progressive series of die breaks. Are they of any value?
08-17-2021, that was pretty damn good, thanks
Great video
I have a bunch of pennies with D mint nark that has a dark, deep shadow around the D, looks like it's been stamped really hard. I've not seen any videos on this type of D mint marks. Please help me.
I have a 1960 coin with hole on the mind mark side any idea what type of error is it?
Thank you for the Ed.
Wow nice video
I have a penny that looks like it says LIBER_TY with the underscore being raised metal at the same height as the letters, perfectly straight so it doesn't look like a crack. What might that be and what price might that bring?
Do you know anything about a tiny D mint mark touching the last 9 in 1979?? I cant find any videos on it.
I think it's either post mint damage or a misplaced mint mark! The mint marks can move around a lot. Or it could be a cud.
Good job teaching about error-coins
If the coins are checked to see if there are any errors then how do they get in circulation?
Sometimes they're just missed; with billions of coins minted, the Mint employees will not always catch them all.
Thank you for the detailed video, this helped lots. I'm looking forward to learning more. The brockage is still fuzzy for me any suggestions, tips, or tricks is most appreciated!!! Stay amazing and keep creating
Need your help! Have a 1983d that has 2 large 3’s on reverse , but center etc is over these LARGE 3’s
What do you call a coin that has a mint mark after the date instead of below it
Like 2001p instead of
2001
P
I'm a little disappointed that you didn't mention my favorite type of Mint Error; Rotated Dies.
Regardless, that was a great video!
Is there a crash course on , stock of coins, the proper way to identify coins worth having, don't get me wrong , I have my favorite look in a coin, most of mine have only face value , some I like black , or maybe only the head area is black, some have a rainbow of colors, forgive me , and thanks.
Hey there buddy thanks for the cool video , look I got 1944 p wheat straw. That on the reverse side of the coin you can real lightly see the memorial of a Lincoln' penny through the Wheat straw reverse. What would that be called and would it be valuable
I have some coins. Provide me with their current market value based in a short non technical description...( Mocking posters that think its his job to blindly guess what your poorly explained coins are worth )
I have a quarter that has both a partial collar and is the 2020 W v75 how much is it worth?
Give you 35cents for it
Great video; Christian! I have an awesome 1970 Brockage penny if you want to see a good example you can use. You’re becoming one of my go-to people for great coin content on TH-cam!
Would be great! Thanks!
I feel like I have a dozen or more error coins (mainly quarters) that don't fall into any of these categories.
Christian, can I send you photos of a possible error coin, a 1858 double flying eagle? I would like an opinion on the penny.
I have a half dollar that has two reverses? Can you identify this error and if it has any value?
Good evening love your videos. This question has nothing to do with the video and I apologize. But I love that poster behind you with all the coins on it. Just wondering where you got it. I would like one myself.
Good question! It is a PCGS Periodic Table of Coins!
@@TreasureTownCoins If he sent you a photo, could you tell me what happened to my coin?
I found a quarter in my change that looks like it was caught under the blade of a snowplow at some point. It's a 1991 P. The reverse southeast area is sloped down as though scraped. The obverse is intact. Even of it isn't of value, I'm keeping it! 😁
You’re the best!!!!!!!😅
Does anybody know if that us considered an error a piece if hair or thin thread caught under the T on United
Is missing clad an error?
I have US coin minted errors that will completely blow your mind
I have a quarter that is from the Denver Mint but it also has a p stamped over the D you can clearly see the p and the mashed D what would the value on a coin like that be
Can someone tell me if this is anything ? Is there anyway to add a picture?
I like multi-struck errors because sometimes they are not designed as such on a slab. A coin will just be called a broadstrike but will show evidence of multiple strikes, and you can get them cheap because "multiple strikes" is not printed on the label.
That's cool perspective!

I’m new the this. I’m guessing a lot of these are being snuck out of the mint by someone.
Where do you sell doses coins
What is the error called for a coin that reverse side does not line up like it should
Opinion on a coin I have that has copper on it with another coin on the side it’s a Nickel an I’m puzzled and I would like to send you a picture to see if this is a familiar error or not
Your forgot about defective planchette
i have a 1999 penny with multiple pennies throughout..numbers and letters all over this penny significant damage at striking..
