Amazing videos. Did anybody notice the way the rear wheels were turning distinctly on these cars when they were executing tight turns? Few people know that the MX-3's / Eunos series coupes actually have "passive rear wheel steer" allowing for more stable tight turns. Go have another look at the videos and you'll see it happen. Curiously, Mazda kept very quiet about this amazing innovation - it does work by the way. I have one of these cars and they handle beautifully. The MX-3, poetry in motion!

@datathunderstorm there was something similar to this in the 80s honda prelude, except they didn't keep quiet about it. they called it 4 wheel steering. and it was all over their brochures

@link0587 That was an active 4 wheel steering system, different from what is in the MX3. Mazda actually had it's own active 4 wheel steer system on some of the MX6 models. The active 4 wheel steer system of the prelude and MX6 was optional, and a costly add on. This passive system on the MX3 is on most, if not all of the MX3s.

Isn't that the truth, My number one complaint about driving other people's cars is the handling, what is the point of all that power if you can control it when you need it!

It's too bad that the MX3 is a FWD car...would be neat if it came RWD but it is still one of my favorite fun cars ^_^
