- Never heard of Flyff Universe? Well worry no more! This video aims to answer the question that many newbies or beginners might be asking, such as what is this game, how do you play it and what do you do in there! By watching this, you should get at least a rudimentary understanding what this game is about, and hope to get you interested in learning some more! :)

Hearing the music in the beginning made me teary eyed lol. I first played it back in 2006. I really like the gameplay and its soundtrack. The best ever!
The music holds a strong nostalgia factor for me too, so I understand the impact it has really well c: Flyff's a game that's been close to my heart since childhood as well, and there's something about the gameplay loop that come across to me as unique even today!

Flyff Universe is not the best but its the best that happen to Flyff in Years and u really dont need to Cash even 1 Cent into it thats what i like about it + the Community is insanly nice (at least my experience) I mean for the Pass u had to Kill Player and Duel with Player there were like 4 People next to Arena asking me if i still need to do it and they would help me they did this for like 1 hour+ with everyone :o for me Universe was a comeback to Flyff and i dont regret it 1 Sec
I couldn't agree with you less!! Definitely some things could've had better execution on their part, but Flyff Universe by far is definitely the best thing to happen in the game's history ever since the fall of the golden years. I've had a swell time with the community so far too, so far been really friendly and cooperative and I don't share that many awful experience with players x) If anybody missed good times in Flyff, I'd definitely recommend them to come check this one out ^^ Likely they wouldn't regret either :)
Reminds me a ton of "Fiesta online." even down to the stutter on hits for mobs and such.
I actually did give Fiesta Online a try many years back, but didn't play it for long. Now that you mention it though, there is a resemblance! :)
@@emenalus Fiesta online, Rose online and Luna Online were the 3 siblings of FlyFF =P all were great at each thing but I was more into Luna Online back in the day... super grindy tho
@@MsTatakaiAll the Asian MMOs in that time were, it was a trend of sorts back then :P But that's quite interesting, I had only heard of Fiesta but only much later :o

Damn I used to play Flyff ages ago! Might have to give this iteration a chance...
It's definitely the best iteration out there that I've seen so far, so I'd say it's worth checking out! A little word of warning though, there's currently an event server called FWC going on and other servers besides from that are more quiet than usual. Don't be too alarmed about that, alternatively you could go and try out the FWC server for bonus exp and such :) Just remember that if you do, make sure to do the character transfer to the server you'd like that'll take place in around September/October ^^

The best memories has been made pre-launch and like six months after launch.
Sniegu made the mistake to get eaten by GALA and the game never had a hope. We were just coping.

Flyff definitely is a rollercoaster of emotions, I'll give you that x) Asking myself why I'm playing this game yet somehow always finding myself coming back.
I honestly missed what happened between the launch and the first year since I got back to it after dumping the game for higher priorities in life just a few months ago. If you wish to elaborate on what caused the game to REALLY take a hit, I would love to hear more :)
I'm sorry for your loss in this matter though, sometimes things don't go the way we would want them to.

is it difficult to get charming outfits? i put a lot of importance on character design.
Well, depends if you're ready to pay for it :) This game's got a lot of fashion sets and they're releasing both old and new ones constantly, but fashion sets all are premium items. You can still get fashion without spending a dime, but getting to the point where you can comfortably spend in-game money on it comfortably is going to take some time. All fashion is also released for a limited period of time, and past their debut people tend to ask more for them than they initially paid for them due to lack of availability, and especially if they're popular ones. So if you're in for the outfits, either have your wallet ready with a few dozen bucks or be REALLY patient x)
Used to play way back in 07. Is it still worth playing?
Whether it's worth really depends on what matters to you :) Flyff Universe as of right now has a pretty active community and to my knowledge has a pretty healthy playerbase at least in the English servers! The game also definitely made improvements to its content, adding some more quests and group content, redesigned equipment so that most of it makes sense and rebalanced classes pretty well in my opinion. Flyff Universe is still P2W in its roots, upgrading scrolls and stuff mostly bought from the cash shop but there's now alternative (albeit slow) methods of farming them and you can easily buy them from players with penya like before. The P2W aspect doesn't really matter all that much unless you want to be playing competitive, though x)
If you have certain concerns about the game, do feel free to shoot me another question. I figured I'd atleast answer the most common concerns that I hear ^^
is there a pc client to place this game or am I forced to play thru the browser?
You're forced to play on the browser, sadly. I've wanted an option to play on client as well since the beginning due to some inconveniences related to browsers, but they haven't made the option to play on a client at least so far :/

Same with some othergames from that time only reason i would try to play would be nostalgia.
Yeah, I played the original until the bitter end, even though it was so broken at the time covid struck. I even considered giving up on the game at some point because of how unplayable it had become :( I'm really glad that Flyff Universe happened though, really saved my conscience! I do end up playing the game for more than just nostalgia though, I'm really passionate about it :)

Not really x) They did add grass and make more dynamic water effects, but the player models and the overall terrain remains unchanged :P

Its so similar to Ragnarok M, even sound effects and menu buttons are same
Ohh, I tried Ragnarok a loooong time ago when I was a kid but never really got the hang of it back then. Didn't know they came out so similar :D Same publisher perhaps, or then the sound effects were universally popular in the Korean MMO industry back in the day x)

Yeah, unfortunately :/ I wished for a client download option too due to the limitations of playing on a browser, but after ~1,5 years of service they still haven't made one. So I don't think they're gonna be making one x)

It's REALLY subjective but I got to understand that the pronunciation this way makes more sense xD Believe it or not, I used to pronounce it "Fliff" for many years ^^

Tried logging in. Way too many people in the city. I see text all over the place. Have absolutely no clue which way to go. I just want a game that's easy to navigate. This definitely is not the one. Way too messy.
I understand that first impression, that's also made worse by the fact that the game has an open market system where people set up their own shops and shop titles. It's especially bad if you ever went to Darken, the so-called end-game city as it is basically a shopping center.
Sad to hear that the game didn't appeal to you because of that, hopefully you'll find an MMO more suitable for you! :>
i just wish it wasnt in a browser ... >.< it constantly drains the eff out of my bandwith and i dont see a way to download the whole game so it doesnt drain it ... i had to watch this video in 144 p
Oh wow, I've never heard of such an issue on the browser client before O.O People have had performance issues which could usually be fixed by changing some browser settings and overall about the disadvantages of playing in one. Sadly the game indeed doesn't have a client option, probably to prevent easy access to server files that could be taken advantage of by private servers, on top of being multiplatform. I suggest looking into if there's something that can be done by your connection, but it could potentially be unfixable. I hope for the best though :x
i found out why, brave browser must be a bit ... temperamental, i changed to Microsoft edge and now im doing much better. thanks for the comment.@@emenalus

It's a modern problem that most MMOs struggle with, sadly. But well, it doesn't take away much fron the fun of the game :)
