  • As our society switches to more computer and tech time, we sit for extended periods, which can have numerous effects on our bodies. One is Dead Butt Syndrome. Nicole will share how this happens and how you can offset it with a few tips and exercises. Nicole is a Health and Behavior Coach, Personal Trainer, podcast host of “Weight Loss for Women Over 40”, tv host of “Healthy Travel with Nicole”, author of “The No Fuss, No Mess Cookbook”, TEDx Speaker, former Physical Therapist Assistant, and former professional ballet dancer. Nicole has been featured in Rachael Ray in Season, Bicycling Magazine, Real Simple, and MSN. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

One of the best things I did was get a nice sit to stand desk at my work. I was sitting WAAAAY too much prior to having that installed.

I work 5 days a week., bending, stooping, lifting, pushing. Every muscle in my body gets a work out.

I just started a career as a remote worker and I'm already getting concerns about my joints and posture

Taking care of joints and posture are really important as we age. Being strong and flexible are also a part of balancing the body. Making sure you’re ergonomic in lifting things and even in sitting will also help you. Thank you for watching Lekannn! 🙂

Very interesting. I go on walks and squeeze my glutes. Love the humor.
