Hi, I´ve done that with a Garmin Virb Camera, which is capable of recording OBD2 data via Bluetooth.
Since neither my Kawasaki, nor my Suzuki has OBD, I´ve created my own adapter and translate the protocol and messages.
This adapter won´t work for you. But you might find what you need here: racechrono.com/forum/discussion/1893/canbus-yamaha/p1

Hi Thomas, awesome job about ur arduino project.have you ever thought to use insead of arduino nano+bt module, a D1 mini Weemos arduino? It has wifi integrated, instead of bt...maybe the garmin virb can't works, but maybe is possible to create a simple app for phones with a similar interface...less expensive than a virb camera. :/

      Hi Francesco, thanks!
The Bluetooth solution is compatible to the OBD II protocol. So you can use it with every OBD II-App for smartphones. F.e. Torque Pro has a Plugin for that. But I´m sure there are several apps, free of charge, which are able to record the data. Using WiFi for that is quite uncommon and only supported by a few apps.
Maybe I´ll write an own app someday, which has some Kawasaki & Suzuki specific features. But that´s still a long way off...

Thomas Riebmann hey, thanks for your fast replay!I've already Arduino nano for do the job, just suggested the D1 for his integrated wifi chip.I know torque, sure! However I've ordered the l9637d from china,so the way is long to me! Hahaha! Are you still working in this project? If Yes What are your next goals? The Garmin camera is very expensive 😅😅😅

Currently I got very spare time :( But I´m still on it! Just bought a Suzuki Gsx R 600 for trackdays. It has a similar protocol, which I also want to support. I´m also waiting for several parts from overseas. Plugs, connectors and stuff.
With some luck, you get the Virb X for below 200€. For me it´s the best solution, you don´t need to carry a smartphone and cutting the videos with Virb Edit is really easy. It´s still cheaper then a GoPro ;-)

Thomas Riebmann well i have mine baby Z750, so i'll try this project as soon as possible.Maybe your connector Will arrive before mine components 🤣 ..are you always using same hw parts?

My Z750r will also stay with me :D The Suzi is only for racing purpose!
Yes, the hw is nearly the same. I´m playing around with the power, it sometimes seems that the arduino restarts. If there will be an update, I´ll let you know!
