@@thatrobchalmersbloke I went from a CUPRA born to Skoda Octavia tdi to Tesla model y because of the deal. Not the best looking EV but I’m so glad to be back in an EV. Never thought I’d say that as a previous die hard petroleum head
Nice, realistic, sensible point of view. The anti-EV FUD-mongers will want to watch this, because the title & thumbnail will make them believe this is another piece of FUD that will confirm their own fears. What a surprise they'll get 🤣
So to summarise, the ev was much cheaper to run, didn’t make your hand stink when you refuel, wouldn’t take any longer for the trip, and was quieter, it’s no different to live with, and you don’t need to feel bad about using all that polluting diesel. Nice!
Do you pay road taxes on electricity for an EV in the UK? In Australia the road taxes are part of the cost per litre of fuel (over 40 cents per litre) but nothing for EVs. I suspect it's coming though and will alter the economics of EVs dramatically.
I returned to diesel, Skoda Octavia, great car, but missed the acceleration and running costs. Kept it two months and went back to electric.
Tuesday I get my Next EV and I can't wait

Yeah... pretty much. 😊
Would be more expensive tho by the time you’ve paid for expensive service station superchargers…
@@rossp9230 try watching the video and you’ll see that’s not what he says.
I did a video in this series where I used only public chargers and it was still cheaper

Cannot hear anything over the sound of your extremely loud diesel car WOW. Either that or get a better microphone.
Shock answer.... a bit of both, but mainly B. I do have a mic, I just forgot to put it in the car 😬
