Never in My life I've seen a 1970s sedan so cool like this, man what is wrong in US in 1970s during that time is just crazy that Europe and Japan back then make cool sedans that we haven't got in states lol ...
Congratulations, this is a real diamond!!! I love this car. My father had it as a taxi in Greece when I was a kid. My dream is to find one, restore it and take him for a stroll where he was taking me when I was 2-3 years old. I am looking for a left hand drive (wheel on left side) but it is hard to find one. Because most of them are available in Japan and they are right hand drive. I would tremendously appreciate any help to find one. Thank you.
Looks fresh, particularly the rear light cluster. The interior looks streets ahead of today's boring black ones. Stylish dashboard too. A very cool car and I admit to not having ever seen one in the 'metal'.
I remember these cars came to South Africa as Datsun, this was top of the range, so you were lucky to own one, and now very very rare, beautiful car 👍👌😎
This is a beautiful classic car and in astonishing condition! I am trying to find one with left wheel. My father used to own one in 1974 in Greece, when I was a toddler. It is my dream to find one and buy it and take him for a stroll before my old man leaves this world.
What's the kind of ticking noise that comes on as soon as you turn on the ignition?... It continues when the engine is running.. Sorry if this is a daft question. Super cool car👍
You will need to check the oil light. I should be on as you turn the ignition on, then switch off as oil pressure in the engine rises. Also, no look into the engine room or trunk? Shame.
The first gen Cedric was sold here in 1963 and 1964, it was actually the first "Nissan" badged product sold in the U.S. It sold very poorly mostly due to how much it cost. Heres a link to one that survives. autoweek.com/article/car-life/may-be-oldest-surviving-nissan-north-america So Nissan didnt bother offering later generations. Still a shame, i want one of these badly. And in LHD.
@@twoeightythreez I agree. It's a damn shame, for it would've shown us Yanks that Nissan (Datsun) were capable of producing more than just small economy cars. I would've bought one, or possibly a Toyota Crown, if either were sold in the USA.
R.I.P DAD!!! Remember yours as if it was yesterday!!!! Who of thought a classic in this era!!!
Definitely a classic!

For some reason, the Cedric was never offered in the USA, not even as a Datsun. It's a bloody shame.
