I ran to Kickstarter to place my pledge for the sticker printer. Just yesterday I was looking into a sticker machine and found out there’s at least two expensive machines were needed to make stickers. And I thought, surely there’s a machine that prints and cuts all in one. I mean, it’s 2024 and we have self driving cars now lol Then I just stumbled onto your video and I’m so happy I did. Thank you sooooo much!
Oh that’s awesome, I can’t wait for you to get yours!! I had the same exact thoughts because I’ve looked into Cricut machines before and it seems wild that no one’s thought to combine that with a printer before now!! So convenient to have it all in one :) can’t wait to hear how you like it, I’ve been making so many stickers since I got mine hahaha
The StoryGraph is also awesome for on the go tracking and notes and buddy reads if you like them.
Okay yeah I’ve heard of that one as well! Is that something you use in addition to goodreads or is it like an alternative?
@@anabruns I have goodreads linked to my kindle but don’t actually use it, so I don’t know how closely it compares, but I’ve found it great for stats (even the free plan that I use, but I think there’s extra features for paid supporters, and bonus, supporting a company that isn’t Amazon), it’s easy to add a book or a different edition if it doesn’t have the one you’re reading, the buddy reads have a feature where you can make notes that your buddy can only read when they get to that part of the book, so you can have your squeal or rant moment without giving spoilers away, and apart from buddy reads, all comments are private, so you can write yourself a really messy totally spoiler full review before writing (if you want) a cleaned up version. Oh, and you can give quarter, half, or three quarter stars too in your rating.
I’m new to your channel and want to thank you for your sharing! Books and journaling are part of my self care. Love those Washi tapes and mahalo for the disc 😁 Have a beautiful Autumn!
Aww of course, thank you for this kind comment!🥰 books and journaling definitely play a role in self care for me too! Are you located in Hawaii? I visited Maui last year and it was stunning!
Im so excited for you to continue the mistborn series. Im reading it right now as well and its so good!!
No way!!☺️ it’s so good
I love your reading journal videos, I always look forward to them 💗 and I also really appreciate the way you approach reviews ☺ I haven't been tracking stats in my reading journal but I think I might want to do a kind of end-of-year overview? I'll look through my Goodreads and Storygraph closer to the end of the year and see if I have any ideas for things I want to track or note down.
Aww thank you so much!! Wow it’s makes me so happy to hear you look forward to these videos🥹💕 yes I like doing an end of year spread with all the stats combined as well!! I used my log at the beginning of the journal + the monthly stats to compile that last year, and I’ll probably do something similar at the end of 2024!
Okay I’ve heard storygraph mentioned, but don’t really know what it is. Is it like a goodreads alternative or something different? ☺️
@@anabruns Yep it’s similar to Goodreads! I use both because I think they both do different things well - like I prefer Storygraph for stats but Goodreads for browsing and recommendations
I LOVE Kristin Hanna's books! The Nightingale and The Women are my two favorites, but I loved The Great Alone, as well. (Makes me want to go to Alaska.) I also read True Colors, which was really good, and am reading Comfort and Joy right now - it's really good! I also started Sanderson's books with the Mistborn trilogy - they were great! Need to get into era 2 next.
Ahhh we’re so similar!! The Nightingale was my favorite closely followed by The Women, both five stars⭐️ and then I loved The Great Alone as well! I’ll have to check out True Colors and Comfort and Joy. So cool that you’re also getting into Sanderson by starting on Mistborn too😊
I love your videos so much that I'm binge watching all of them😅. I have a recommendation of a trilogy, since you like romantasy (so do i),i suggest u read The Discovery of Witches. Its my favorite book series, and there is a show inspired by this books on prime video. The story begins when Diana Bishop, historian and witch, accesses Ashmole 782 and knows she must solve its mysteries. She is offered help by the enigmatic Matthew Clairmont, but he's a vampire and witches should never trust vampires. They both are adults, wich I liked a lot. I hope you read it and love it as much as I do. Hi from Brazil 🇧🇷
Hi to you in Brazil!! Okay this must be a sign because I literally had The Discovery of Witches on my October TBR!! (Was thinking it sounded like a good spooky season book if it has witches). Now I have to read it next - maybe I’ll start it this weekend😊 thank you for the recommendation!
@@anabruns you're so welcome. I really hope u like it 😊
Thank you for another great video, layout and good book recommendations ❤
Yay, happy you enjoyed this one!! you’ll have to let me know if you end up reading any of these☺️
@@anabruns I will, I have added them all on my list. Hubby has already read Mistborn series and we both have read all the Harry Potter books:). Husband says Sanderson series Stormlight archive is even better series.
Love your reading journal book reviews ❤
I always forget Brando Sando has some amazing quotable dialogue in his books. I’m usually so wrapped up in what’s happening that I don’t remember the words themselves.
Haha yep he really sneaks them in there, but so good☺️
I don’t log my reads per se; I am currently keeping a Word of the Year journal with a bookshelf spread to add the books that I’m reading this year specifically, not sure if I’ll continue that after the year is up. I also keep a Commonplace Book and it’s rare that I read a book an don’t record at least one quote (although it has happened 😊 ) so in a sense that kind of serves as a reading log 🤷♀️
Oh those seem like some simple and fun ways to look back on the books you’ve read! I’ve heard commonplace books referenced several times but don’t know much about them! Is it like a specific journal or a journaling system?
So if a journal is your thoughts and feelings, a commonplace book is other people’s thoughts and feelings. Can be from books, movies, lectures, real life, whatever has inspired you that you want to remember. I do book quotes almost exclusively and write down quotes or passages that either speak to me personally at the time, or that are just a brilliant piece of writing. I log them in a note on my phone in the moment, then write them out in the commonplace book when I finish the book. I’m finding it a really good way to reflect on and close out a book before moving on to the next one.
"Jeptember books"
Haha I guess it could look that way!
@@anabruns Sorry hahaha my mind is weird 🤭♥️ loved your vídeo btw
