I rarely use the console as I mostly do everything in the DAW, but I've come to realize how useful having a vocal chain is to monitor yourself with excellent processing without printing it onto the recording. I'd love to have more tips and tricks like this to get more inspiration for other useful techniques.
You should definitely put this to good use. This feature is why UAD apollo interfaces have become the standard of in-home studios and many professional mixers when not in a giant 25,000-dollar studio (which probably has a lot of the outboard gear that the apollo has plugins that virtually emulate amazing studio gear). The fact that you can use all these plugins with ZERO strain on your computer is amazing. A tube emulation, a slight compression and the sound of many classic and powerful vocal preamps and you can be half done with the mix without putting the strain on your CPU, if you use multiple high-powered plugins, this will not only make your workflow better, but it will literally extend your consoles life by a considerable amount because of less things being processed. Obviously just slight changes because the sound will (I think) be printed on the recording. I have to look that up, if you can somehow mix the sound with the console AFTER you record, the Apollo is literally the best thing to EVER happen to the music industry and music creation as a whole. I don't believe that is the case though and it acts more as a vocal chain on outboard gear that gets printed to the recording. Subtle changes and you got an already amazing sound before ever putting any strain on your CPU.

I have a cascade setup with Twin X, UAD-2 Satellite, x8p, x8p, and x8. All running TB3 on Mac. I’ve noticed when I load a saved session it can take sometimes 10-15 sec for it to load. It didn’t used to do this. I haven’t changed anything in my system except I went from 64GB ram to 8GB ram while waiting for a replacement due to a defective ram card. Would the lower ram cause this issue? Thanks in advance for the help.
So. I have an Arrow. In arrow I can pull up channel strip presets and all the plug-ins pop up. Great, but Arrow does not have the power to run all presets. How can I get access to Channel Strip presets so they load in a DAW and use UAD SATELLITE to run them through a DSP?
After I add a plugin into the channel strip, when I click on that plugin image, the plug-in device does not pop up. I may have to do multiple clicks on the plugin image to have the device pop up. It used to be just one click on the plugin image and the plugin device will pop out. Please advise as it is getting a bit annoying. I'm using macOS Big Sur and I have already updated to the latest UAD Powered Plugin version 10.0.0

In the video, you keep popping up sub menus, but not showing where you click to bring them up. As an example with the 1176, you open the menu so that you can swap that plug-in out. How did your pop-up that menu? Sorry for stupid questions. This is day one for me on Apollo. Lol!
So i can't use my few rare weird vst plugins i already own in the console? they need to be "UAD plugins" right? Can i use the apollo as a windows audio interface and mix couple of hardware and couple of virtual inputs, AND somehow route an external vst host into the soup or am i just better off with sending the signal from this to another mixer software and mess with my vst's after the console? i am looking to replace my focusrite/VoiceMeeter potato/vst host frankenstein setup with something better. Dream scenario for me in an interface with everything i need in it including vst hosting so this is close?
All plugins except AT are M1 native in M1 hosts. Console remains in Rosetta for a bit longer. As for Monterey. while our testing is ongoing, we're not seeing any show stoppers on Monterey. Back up your known working system and give it a try. Hi, perhaps you can help. I am about to smash my Apollo to bits... again... No matter what i do, Logic is recording my backing track which is on channel two, onto my guitar track ! It is recording backing track + guitar on channel one where only my guitar should be. Is is auto bouncing or something ? OMG what a hideous piece of crap, this Apollo... Been watching TH-cam for half a day to get this solved...
Sounds like you have the Mon L/R inputs selected in Logic instead of the direct Analog 1 and Analog 2 inputs. In Console go to Settings > I/O Matrix to double check your input assignments, and then make sure you're selecting the correct input channels in Logic.

Panic records says “Your computer was restarted because of a problem and macos panic data not available” Latest UAD software 9.15.1 Latest macos Big Sur 11.6.5 Latest Logic Pro 10.7.3 Big Sur installed from scratch a few days ago Apple Diagnostics: “No issues found”

How do you unhide a channel after its been hidden? It's not under the Menu->View section.

How do I setup my sound in console then transfer it to Luna?
You do not need Console when using LUNA. However, when you build a chain in Console and arm that track in LUNA, the settings will come over.

Why do all the presets show a lock?
These are the factory presets. The lock ensures that you cannot delete or overwrite them.👍🏻
