the pringles are nice but not not nicer than *sabritas*
They taste a bit vinegar-y at first. Once you get past that and eat another chip you can really taste some heat and the full flavor kicks in. I initially found them odd tasting, but the more I eat them the better they taste. I'd recommend trying them at least once. Very interesting flavor. Too bad it's limited edition.

Halo 4 king of the hill, never would have took off because it's so limited. Had they rolled it out everywhere a lot more people would have played it, and it might have taken off...

I am suprised you didnt mention halo the movies, a disc only distributed internally at bungie prior to the release of halo ce. Some have made it out to fans and marty o'donnel even made a video showing what was on it.

Your narration style lends itself to face cam. Sometimes IMO it feels like you ramble on, but being able to see you when you're talking makes it feel much more natural. I like it.

I have a minor one that might be of interest. There was a Mountain Dew contest for Halo 3 and one of the prizes was the Legendary Edition of the game. The only difference that I notice between the MD Legendary and the normal Legendary is that the number plate on the helmet base has a number out of 711 I believe with a Mountain Dew logo embossed on it.
Generalkidd looks like he either paid someone to pretend to be him and decieve us, or he filmed the video while just opening his mouth, and later did the voiceover reading the script. 😂

halo had some good ass marketing/advertising back in the day. also you should look into the vintage market of halo clothing! shirts/merch can be pretty rare nowadays too, especially for the older halo games. cool video by the way, thanks for sharing these gems with us!

I literally have 2 boxed copies of the steelbook edition of MCC. I had no idea this was rare, I feel cool now.
I remember playing warthog launch in my computer class. Shit was addictingly fun and I still have the solo case for H2MMP. I find it hard to be rid of the original boxes and such.

I remember seeing the Halo Triple Pack at Circuit City when I was like 5. I remember wanting it even though I had HCE, H2, & the H2 Multiplayer dic. Which BTW @Generalkidd You missed the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack disc that had bonus content on it for Halo 2!!!
I remember when my dad came home with the halo 2 multiplayer map pack. I didnt have internet back then, so I had no idea halo 2 had extra maps. My little 8 year old brain was blown away by all the extra maps... that I proceeded to run around alone for hours because I didnt have xbox live lmao

Australian here. Can confirm that we got a steel book edition but not the multiplayer book or statue. My recollection is that Halo was hitting a slump in popularity around MCC's release. so the steel book was the best we got..

Not sure if it counts, but the Halo 3 Mountain dew mini fridge is pretty cool, along with the giant halo standees from stores. Although I don't believe any of these were intended to be sold.

Hey, For over 5 years or so, I've been playing a game called H.A.L.O. This game had your main character jump out of a window and slide down a roof to action. This game also had mechs and buildings cut in half with mounted blasters. This game also had you have jetpacks to fly high in the skies. This game was the best game I've had. today I felt like playing it but I couldn't find it anywhere, so I came here to see if you ever heard of a game that had this in it?

Fun fact. The 3 original xbox halo pack was re-rated in Europe at least. The games were rated Pegi 15, however the triple pack is rated 12.
I had parents who were very conscious of the rating system so when I was 13, the only halo I could get was the rare 3 pack

Can you do anything with Thomas Lasky's AI in Halo 4's Reclaimer mission? Maybe try to get him to hold weapons or get into vehicles?
I have already tried it, I was able to get him to hold weapons, but when you passed that specific spot, he despawns anyways.

I used to have an Xbox game magazine disk that had a trailer for Halo 2 comprised of the teaser intercut with beta New Mombasa gameplay footage (the one where the city looked completely different). Loved it but I don’t know if I have that disk anymore. It also had teaser gameplay trailers for Half Life 2, Sonic Heroes and I think Prince of Persia Sands of Time & Deus Ex Invisible War on it as well.
I'd say you probably missed the Halo: CE 2000 in-store marketing materials. I doubt anyone knew Halo was gonna be as big as it was, and I've never seen anyone flex CE promo materials.
Wish I could go back in time and pull a poster off a wall or snatch up a cut out. That stuff would be so nice to have

I bought the Halo MCC Collector's Edition new yesterday & it cost me £320 to buy. Got it from Ebay as there was only 1 left in stock. It came with literally everything packaged. Base game, Steelbook, MP map book and the DLC.
UK Halo fan here and I can say we did get it, but I thought it wasn’t rare nor region exclusive; just expensive. I got mine for Christmas back in 2014, map book and skull code too, but no statue. Just as well as my 360 CEA grunt funeral skull didn’t carry over when I had to replace my 360 when the old one died back in 2012.
Undamaged Halo 2 steelbooks are probably the most rare imo; the things are ridiculously flimsy. Mine has one very small dent but that's all. I can never find any online in undamaged condition.
I think the rarest thing I have is a Japanese copy of the Halo Legends blu-ray special edition
Whoa whoa whoa, you forgot THE most obscure piece of Halo media. ilovebees. VERY few people have a copy. It was given out to few people who participated in the ilovebees arg for Halo 2’s marketing campaign. It’s a dvd with one of the more obscure pieces of Halo lore on it, the ilovebees audio drama.
Other than that, great video. One of your more well made. Very enjoyable.

For anyone wondering the Pringle’s to me tasted like eating raw ramen with seasoning on it. THEY WERE GOOD
Not too much of a collector outside of some limited editions but this was entertaining.
One glaring omission in my opinion is the Japanese Halo History pack. You mentioned the triple pack and Japanese Halo CE so I think it would have made sense to mention the History Pack which is basically both. It comes with Japanese CE and H2 and there's a third that I guess updates the 360 to run them. The box is somewhat similar to the triple pack thought the individual games come in the platinum hits boxes you're not keen on. Apparently it was released around the time of Halo 3 to allow players to catch up on the story.
Back in 2005, I think, some guy named Doberman made a Halo fan game called Halo Zero. It's pretty neat to be honest. I think he also made an endless runner and a side scroller. Just thought I'd put it in here.

Probably my rarest Halo possessions aren't official, or even physical. I have a bunch of Halo fan-made music tracks that apparently can't be found anywhere (perhaps worth uploading to TH-cam sometime) as well as the Halo Zero source code and the alpha prototype of Halo Zero 2. I doubt many people remember this fan game. It's really good for an old freebie.

What about the Halo History pack? It was exclusive for Japan and had the Japan version of Halo CE and Halo 2. It also had a weird disc included. Idk what it is, but it has something to do with the Xbox 360 or maybe Halo 3?
I did played Halo ODST that looks like it was made for Windows 95. I don't know who got it, but it was actually fun.

The halo PC physical copies started getting sold again back around 5 years ago at Australian EB Games and they where brand new copies and where many. EB Games musta went through some old stock of PC games, lol.
3 days ago I was looking at an auction of the special edition of MCC, it was almost new - even the map book was sealed. The seller wanted 120 PLN (~30 USD). I thought I'm gonna buy it later. Of course it is not available now. It hurts.

There was a legendary version of halo 4, I believe it was a France exclusive but not sure. It came with the limited edition, a mega blocks thing, a visual history book, and a couple other things.
The only collectors edition I had was the Halo 2 Limited Collection edition, which I guess is worthless.

Lol I have an original copy of the Halo 3 ODST OST CD, come with the original cd case and everything. So what I did was I actually copied and transferred the disc information to an actual vinyl disc. I believe it’s the only one in existence! Listening to Marty’s music on Vinyl is quite magical honestly lol

My most valuable collectable from Halo merch is my Halo Special Edition Xbox. It's in pristine condition, and I bust it out every now and then to play some Halo on the fat Duke controller :) Im looking to get the Halo controller for it eventually.

As far as I’m aware there was a single Xbox one X that they made for Charity that was made to look like a forerunner structure. Signed by all 343 people. Pretty sure that is hands down the rarest seeing there’s only one.
Two would be the recent Nerf ARs they made two pink crystal ones for charity as well. Only two exist as far as I can find so that would be the second rarest seeing there’s only two

Man my cousins had some cracked Xbox original that had a modded halo CE with flying turrets and basically was a Star Wars mod and I think it had 2 other things but I was young and this was way back when 360 was relatively newish or so. Whenever I think back on it I find it curious that they had something that really shouldn’t have existed in that timeframe

I don’t know about mcc cn, the digital codes are easy to find on taobao and the physical copies seem to be widely available in China and thanks to achievement hunting more and more people are popping up to price gouge the game for other country residents. I found a copy of it on eBay a few days back from the same person who sells us digital codes.
