Actually, pounding it in works better for me. With a press you have to be super careful that the headset doesn't tilt on the chamfered edge. And you need the correct adaptors to press on the outer race. So yeah 😁 block of softwood & a hammer - it's fine!

You can make a tire insert by using a pool noodle and cut it down the mottle so You have two u shaped tubes. cut it to size and do the same, melt it and inflate like so. I’ve done it but not fully tested

I used a pair of BB7s about 15 years ago before the redesign. They were still respected over many model of hydraulic, including Avid's own hydraulic lineup. Avid used to be such a cool brand, now it's just sram poo.
16:17 do you like the smell of birth defects? Maybe you should watch the movie about PTFE (Teflon) guaranteed birth defects just from handling it, death within 2 months if you breathe it after igniting it (which DuPont did to multiple workers by lacing cigarettes with it to test its hazardousness)

Avid speed dial 7's are great levers for the money. I still use them with bb5's on my freeride bike and not willing to change them.
