This cover is so great that it feels like a different song! Finally a cover that makes an overplayed song even better. Though most great songs are sadly overplayed and become bad due to being played so much

It happens to a lot of people. :) I'm from the UK, and lived in Aus and NZ for about 4 years (on/off) and by time I left the countries people thought I was from Aus or NZ, including the locals! Now I've been away for about 2 years, my UK accent has mostly returned but still with a twang. I do find English-women who have lived in Aus for a short period of time, their accents become very indistinguishable from Aussie-women very quickly. But I have a friend from England who has been living in Aus for about 10 years, and still sounds from England but you can hear the twang in his voice.
His father is australian, he was determined to always have that Australian/American blended accent, i feel the australian comes out more in his singing voice, while his talking voice is more american based.
That is SO cool. I respect Pharrell Williams' work going way back to N.E.R.D.... and although I don't listen to his music very often, I like this song, as repetitive as it may be. However, John, (and i believe it's) Shannon and Grant.... made this song their own, like they do, and did a fantastic job making it interesting with raw energy.. Well done, guys.
