How I store avocados-in my stomach. Works every time.
Lemon Juice if wanting to use part of avocados.
I go for eating the entire avocado at one time, too. Saving it doesn’t work for me.
🤤 🥑 🤤
Same, we never have leftover avocados.
Glad to hear you can catch the 15 minute window of avocado ripeness!!
The King of tips!
Better idea for tomato paste - freeze in 1 tablespoon portions using an ice cube tray then put in a freezer bag. You can still store it flat if you arrange the cubes in 1 layer.
Tomato paste in handy cubes-saving space and ensuring the perfect portion every time. Freezer-friendly hack level: expert! 🍅❄️👩🍳
I do! Keep a tray just for tomatp paste
i do the same 😊
Or just put the paste on a piece of parchment or wax paper in tablespoons, freeze them on a baking sheet. Once solid roll up the paper with the spoons of paste rolled to the inside and put the whole batch in a zipper bag to store. Simply remove one dollop at a time as needed.
I’m an old gal and have been doing this for years😊
I was impressed with the bacon idea, would never thought of that. The coconut one honestly blew my mind!!!! It really makes sense, especially when you need fresh coconut for a recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic 😊 Thank you Chef!
🤗
Great tips. I learn so much from you.
That's fantastic to hear!
Your videos are awesome! I always learn something new! I look forward to your next video!
Stay tuned for more tasty tips and tricks! 🍳🎥👀
I love the peppers pirouetting in the air! You make normal everyday things look so dramatic and beautiful.
Here’s another tip to go along with the tomato paste idea. Put the flattened bag of paste on a tray. With a ruler or something similar, press lines horizontally and vertically to make squares. Then put the tray into the freezer until the paste is frozen. Recipes sometimes call for only a tablespoon or two of paste, so all you need to do is break off a square. I use the same storage method when I shred a large quantity of ginger root. You usually do not need to use a lot of ginger root to flavor a dish, so you can make the squares even smaller.
OHMYGAWWWWD…. I love and appreciate this channel so much! Thank you for posting. ❤

Just found you. Oh my gosh.
I love love love this. Told three of my friends and they are going crazy about you also. I have always been insecure in the kitchen and thot to much work. Not anymore!!! I love the way you go from one subject to another!! Slow and steady but and not taking 15 minutes of explanation of the “why”. That is why I never watch a kitchen show plus they all have fancy pots blah blah. Please don’t go away
Watch the older cooking recipes too. They're amazing
❤️😊
he is a food genius. I have been cooking for decades and still learn new tricks all the time watching this show =)
After I open jar’s off tomato paste, I place it upside down ( on its lid) in the fridge, never goes mouldy 👍
Smart move!👍
Love it & THANK YOU for talking through the video. Your ideas are great!
Happy cooking! 🍽️😊
Счастлива снова смотреть ваши видео!!
I keep citric acid in my kitchen because I can't always get lemons when I need them and can't get to the store. It works just like lemon juice.
Smart workaround!
Citric acid in dishwasher will leave no water spots on anything.
As always, your tips are excellent.
Your appreciation is like the icing on the cake of tips. 🍰🌟
Thanks again for your Unique Tips. We have really enjoyed your presentations and have used many of them. Take care my friends…

Stay awesome! 🌟💻😄
Thanks! Glad to see you made a million subscribers! I leave the pit in the avocado half I store then wrap tightly with clear wrap. Sometimes I season. Next day is ready to go,
Happy cooking! 🥑✨
The best way I’ve found to keep avocados and avocado salad fresh for a longer time is by keeping the avocado pit inside the avocado half or just throw a couple pits inside the salad until it’s time to consume it
I put lemon juice on my avocados for storage. Your cooking hacks are so helpful. Thanks for posting your videos.
Love your video ❤
❤
I just love your hacks it good to learn new things Thanks again 💕💕💕💕
You're very welcome! 💖
Great coconut tip, I’ve never known that !
My mum use to make gravy with the broth 🥰 I must start doing that you so easily forget & just throw on the compost thank you 🇬🇧
Turning broth into gravy is like a culinary magic trick!!!!
You could boil the scraps, and then use the broth for gravy while you put the cooked scraps on the compost. If you have chickens, they will eat most of the cooked scraps ( no salt, onion, or garlic for chickens). Just a thought.
OK Big Brain! Another winner! Thank you.
Great tips...loved them all !
❤
Thanks for the great tips!
Wow! What great tips! Thank you and I’m glad I found your channel.
Welcome to the tips and tricks party.🎉🌟
Wow!
I have always stored avocado halfs with a light brush of oil. I know lemon works a bit better but it seems I never have a lemon when I need one!
Bottled lemon juice has a very long shelf life (6 - 12 months) if it is refrigerated after opening. It's not as nice a flavor as fresh, but certainly good enough for this kind of use. It could also be used on cut apples or other fruit that may oxidize.
Oil, the trusty companion for avocado halves! 😄
@chezmoi42 I didn't think of that! Man I feel silly!!!
@@heidicowles3559 Aww, I didn't mean it to sound that way! Here, search 'bent objects lemon image' - that will make you laugh every time you use it!
@@WebspoonWorld It's true, and everyone has it on hand. I was surprised by the onion results, but I shouldn't be - they do have a lot of antioxidants and vitamin C.
I love the egg cracking trick, just dropping it in the bowl. I'll try more things when they come up. I only cook for myself, not often. Thank you so much. Happy Holidays from NC, USA
The bell pepper cutting open makes sense - and American Test Kitchen needs to learn this - and do this ! Will be learning them up about this method, and many other pepper-using cooks, and do it the right way. Can still make pepper strips for stir frying etc.
Gordon Ramsay's method is even better. No pith at all on the slices. I've been using it for ages and it really works. th-cam.com/video/hZGqtmwboHU/w-d-xo.html
Like the tip about popping the avocado pit out. Never guessed that would work.
Who knew avocados could have their own little magic tricks? 🥑✨
Simple and Beautiful.
I watch your shows for hours. Very educational and entertaining. Many many money saving ideas. 💰
Money-saving ideas are an extra bonus.💡
Love your ideas. Thank you
You're welcome! 😊
I have found avocado keeps better covered in clingwrap, and then covered in alfoil to keep out the light. Make sure the alfoil is lightly pressed into the hollow. i have kept it for 2 weeks like this.
Foil and foil avocado fortification - now that's a serious preservation strategy!
You ar the best .From Australia
Loved the coconut tips, thank you so much ☺

Briallant!! Mind Blowing, Thank you so much x showing us . Love it❤😂

I’m so using the blender idea!

Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊
I love avocado shake.so I blend a batch in condensed milk and freez them in the ice tray
Tks again for your tips! I put a bit of lemon juice in a container and put more juice on the Avocado half and turn upside down onto the juice in the container and put lid on. Keeps perfect for 3 days!
I however would not use aluminum foil to bake anything in.. 🧑🏻🦰🇨🇦
Keep rocking those culinary experiments, and greetings to the maple syrup land! 🍁🥑👩🍳
sprinkling pepper over the cut side of avocado and pumpkin works beautifully in preserving them in the fridge. Pepper probably works with other veg, too, in inhibiting oxidation
That's a fantastic tip!
Just found your podcast! Thank you, I think you are crazy awesome! Love your tips! You go at just the right pace, no more waiting for someone to do the same thing over and over.
Happy listening and happy cooking! 👨🍳
I rarely eat only half an avocado as I can't resist them, but a grower here in NZ told me to cut the top off (like a bolied egg) around the stone, then eat what you want and leave the stone in. The clever part is that there is less surface area left to oxidize. I then put it in a small screw top container in the fridge, also have separate coloured tops for leftover half onion and lemon
That's a fantastic tip from the grower!
These tips were brilliant, thankyou! I've got one for you also...if you hold your roll of cling film vertically when ripping it, it will tear in a straight line ;)
Fantastic tip!
Thankyou. Just found and subscribed to your potato channel, very happy right now! ;)@@WebspoonWorld
You are so amazing, thank you 😊

Blender hack🙄why have i never thought of this easier way of cleaning!✌❤🙏
Sometimes the best hacks are the ones that are hiding in plain sight!
I have always cleaned my blender this way. I don’t even remember if I learned it or just thought of it lol
I love how u divided the butter its amazing. The coconut work was great as well .all y tips for making cooking easier is fantastic. Thanks very much.
Happy cooking! 🧈🥥🍳😊
Great tips 👍
👍
I use the lemon method on my avocado. When I get guacamole in a restaurant and have leftovers, I ask for lemon slices, squeeze the juice along the top, and press a part of paper (usually served with chips, etc) along the top with the lemon inside as well. LOVE the food processor cleanup. Can’t wait until the next time I mess it up. 😊 Also looking forward to the avocado pit trick.
You've got the guacamole game on lockdown!🥑🍋🎉
How to cook broccoli - brilliant!!
And I prefer the lime method. Lime juice seems to naturally go with avocado.
Love the butter idea!
Once more thanks for some great kitchen hacks 👍
Happy cooking! 👨🍳🍴🌟
WOW all great hacks! Thank you!
Stay hack-tastic! 💡🌟
thank you!
Excellent as usual, thank you.
You're welcome!
Had to subscribe, just blown away by your incredible tips, thank you! 🥰🏆🥇🏴
Together we're embarking on a journey to kitchen greatness! 😄🚀
So, I get pre-slicing the butter, but that takes way more time and equipment (parchment) than is necessary as opposed to keeping it on the counter and slicing as you need.
Avocado coated in either lemon or lime juice works best.
Why do you cut off the stems of the broccoli? I prefer the stems personally, and besides, why would you waste perfectly good broccoli just because it's not the fleurettes? It all tastes the same.
BTW, don't discard the greens on cauliflower either. The greens taste exactly like the white bits.
As for the scrap broth, YES! But I would suggest that you only wash and don't peel carrots, potatoes, yams, or Ube (purple yams ... NEVER peel these!). Most of the nutrients are in the skins or just below and if you peel, then you're removing everything that is nutritionally good about these root veggies! Sure, your stock will have more, but you'll lose the benefits in your meal.
Great observations and insights!
Thanks. I'm not sure what you're referring to, so I will cover them all. Butter does not need to be refrigerated as folks in the US believe. Lemon or lime on avocado prevents the oxidation that happens to avocado that's exposed to air. BTW, even if some of it is black, you can scrape it off or still eat it. It's perfectly fine. It's oxidation, not that it's spoiled. And even if it's "spoiled", for most veggies you can cut off the bad bits and use the rest. Americans are un-educated in this. Folks in Europe that shop at farmers markets know that if there's a black, moldy spot on an otherwise great tomato you want, you can just cut it off, like you can with cheese.
Broccoli stems are still broccoli and taste the same as the florets. Same with the greens you get with cauliflower. There is NO difference in taste between the greens that folks normally cut off and throw away and the white bits. You can actually eat it ALL in it's entirety without wasting the green bits. The only thing you'll want to toss is the dry bit at the stem, but you only have to cut off about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. EVERYTHING else is edible and tastes the same.
Americans are snowflakes in regard to food.
Thank you for the ideas, will try them
Happy cooking! 😊
Great ideas Thanks
Use it :)
Amazing ideas. Thanks for sharing them😊

The butter hack is pretty cool.

Keep enjoying the hacks, and happy cooking! ❤️
Excellent. Thank You.
Love your ideas great❤
Happy to hear you're loving the ideas! ❤️
Great tips. Will be using them for sure. I too have begun to put lemon on my avocado’s before putting them in the refrigerator. Thank you so much for your ideas
🍋 Adding lemon to avocado is like giving it a tangy freshness.
I put leftover tomato paste in a sandwich bag, roll it out in the bag like you did, then I score it in four sections. I can then easily break off 1/4 of the paste when needed.
Brilliant!👩🍳
Replacing the seed and using the skin of the scooped out half in an airtight container works best for me
Again great tips! Thanks!
Tips served fresh, hot, and always at your digital service. Happy to help! 🌟💡😊
You always have great tips! Definitely going to switch from oil to lemon juice on avocados!
Lemon juice, the unsung hero of avocado preservation!😊
Nice work, cool, calm, easy mood demo. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work!
These tips are amazing. Thanks 😊
Happy to sprinkle a bit of amazement into your day. 😊🌈
Excellent Thank you! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I take a Tablespoon of tomato paste in parchment paper wrap and store in a zip lock in the freezer! Fast easy grab just set one on the counter for a few mins to defrost a bit!
Also veggie scraps put in a large zip lock and put in the freezer until needed then just dump veggies in boiling water!
Can also add chicken or beef bouillon to add flavor! 😋
Happy cooking!😊
Спасибо! Отличные рекомендации!🎉🎉🎉
