And that is what helps you see it to the end! Thinking about how much fun you'll have once you're finished! Been watching your box build... looking forward to you finishing the teardrop!
I am inspired by both of you gentlemen and plan on building my own camper now! Thanks for posting you wonderful videos on your camper builds! I have learned so much from them!
Congratulations Al. Your videos were start to finish were entertaining and informative. Enjoyed them all and conversing with you from time to time. I like jacks as well, he did a wonderful job. I got my foam from the foam factory as well, very comfortable. Hope you guys have lots of fun with your campers. Can’t wait to see your next build
Thank you Gary, I appreciated all the comments and questions you had as you tagged along! Been a very fun time! We have had a couple trips already, and I am about to start my third this weekend. Thanks for hanging in there! :) Cheers!
Thank you Ron! Absolutely... we are both happy with the way they turned out, and having much fun! P.S. The Blazer Torch has proven itself many times over! Thanks again! -al-
A huge shout out to the Jack man for a job well done on the Stealth. Two very different designs from the visions of you both, but all in all they are two beautiful visions indeed.
Impressed. You guys both did a great job, and are probably the nicest looking custom trailers on youtube. Videos are a big help with my build as well, thanks.
Love it ...both of them! It’s such a fun thing to have a neighbor with similar interests and skills. I started my camper build late last year...building up using a utility trailer base. it’s been slow process trying to make time between your regular routine and responsibilities. And here you are making something ground up and documenting it so meticulously. This is hands down one of the most detailed build videos I’ve found on TH-cam. Respect!!!
Tu amigo, Alberto! :)
Stumbled upon you yesterday I had the wife watching we watched 3 of your videos and the 2 about build cost etc. we have restored a 1971 Apache hard sided ABS plastic pop up camper ( you can google those) I followed this trend of home built campers for about 7 years now I’ve had many trailers and am an avid camper. You’ve created one of the nicest looking trailers and so has your buddy with his cargo trailer, all of which are great ideas, good luck and have a great time camping.
Thank you Powder River for the nice comment! I am becoming an avid camper myself now! Getting ready for the third trip and just loving it! Jack is also loving his cargo trailer and such a great time! Hope to build another in the near future with some added (and needed) amenities! Thanks again, and thank you for watching!!
I'm restoring a 21 ft 1989 komfort travel trailer, adding a bunk on top of one of the 2 side -by - side beds and the other will be made in into a small fold down dinette for me and my wife when we go out camping just us. Then making the front area that was just for a mattress, into a big booth -style fold down dinette for crappy weather card games with friends out camping. Coming along nicely, considering I've already have a little experience with my first restore, which is a 12 ft 1959 jets camper.
i love both campers you both did a very nice job i did notice jack had latches to keep his cupboard doors closed i think maybe you should look in to maybe adding those has well just to keep your doors from slamming around while you are on the road but either way awesome job
Thank you Jason! I did take Jack's tip and started installing the latches to my cabinets as well.... the upper cabinets seem to handle well, the bottom cabinets though, well... the wardrobe door liked to pop open on trips, so that one gets a latch! :)
Well done to the both of you. You posted and earlier video of your cost of your build. I was wondering if Jack has a cost breakdown for his build. Kind of curious to see the difference in costs. Enjoy the Lake.
Thanks Matt! Jack figured he spent around $2500 in his build... if he had to do it again, he said he could cut that cost way down. We both learned from our projects for sure! :)
Both builds are impressive, I’m thinking about beginning a build on a cargo trailer for off-road purposes as well. How long did each one take? Think it can be done by a weekend DYI garage wannabe builder?
Thank you Mark! Absolutely... you can DO this! :) Mine took a bit longer than Jack's did, I mostly worked on it on the weekends, and started from scratch. The cargo trailer took way less time! If you want something really simple... shouldn't take more than a couple weekends. Depending on what you really would like to have, you could easily spend a few months working on it and have a really nice trailer! No doubt you will end up having a trailer to be proud of! When you get an idea... you just DO it! Enjoy... and thanks again!
Very cool! I’m also in Bend and I’m planning on building my own stealth cargo conversion, probably next year. I’m curious... did you all just build in your driveways? I don’t have a place where I’m able to work on projects like this and I’m open to suggestions as far as renting a shop for a couple of months once I’m ready to buy a trailer. Thanks!
Greetings I haveriffs! I started my project in my garage and didn't pull it out until I was ready to install the siding. Jack worked on his project outside alongside of his house, then moved it once in a while to his driveway. We both worked on the projects while the weather was nice, and closed it up once it started to rain or snow. For the cargo trailer... no need for the shop unless you have to have a place to store tools or want to cut wood inside. Happy building!
hello oregonbatman I have being following your videos from the start to finish .in witch video shows the bed set up it seems to have two twin size beds?.im also going to tare down my popup trailer and convert to a hard side wall trailer.one more q? can you back it in the garage since you installed the fantastic fan?
Hi Victor! Thank you very much for following along! I think video Part 26 shows the front dinette set up with the bed, not sure if I had a video of the back set up, but it would look about the same. The rear bed is about the size of a full size (maybe). It measures 48" x 73". The front bed is a single at 38" x 73". I can no longer back the trailer into the garage (after the axle went on), it is way too tall now! :) Wishing you the best on your build! Cheers!
Al, as you probably know I have followed your build since #1, I enjoyed every minute of the Videos. Congratulations, now enjoy it.Congratulate the neighbour too. Did you and Jack total up the costs to build yet.
Thanks George! It has been a pleasure having you follow along! Can't wait until I hear you finished another teardrop! :) Jack estimated around $2000 to $2500 for his build (most of that is costly mistakes!) Ha Ha!! This has been a fantastic journey, looking forward to the next one! Cheers!
We were just talking about that over the weekend... he definitely wants to install a vent! Got a little warm Sunday evening for him, so he wants a cool breeze! :)
Jude S this is what makes Alberts little camper unique and different from standard camper trailers. Why cook indoors when you can enjoy it better in the great outdoors, just my opinion.
Hi Jude... no stove. As Joker pointed out below... I enjoy cooking outdoors. I very rarely use a stove in my home, always used a grill. A microwave was added for the convenience of a quick meal, but as for the main cooking.... outdoors it is! Thanks for the question!
Heading out for third trip this weekend (Solo trip to coast) and looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend! Breaking it in! Haven't had to modify anything so far, and working out just fine! You'll have to shoot an offer, we'll see if I add that air conditioner for ya! :) I have it registered, and new plates installed (with lights of course). Cheers!
Two very very nice campers, Ill be thinking of how nice a home built camper can be while building mine, inspirational .
And that is what helps you see it to the end! Thinking about how much fun you'll have once you're finished! Been watching your box build... looking forward to you finishing the teardrop!
Hat's off to both of you, seriously awesome builds...
Thank you Bruce!
I am inspired by both of you gentlemen and plan on building my own camper now! Thanks for posting you wonderful videos on your camper builds! I have learned so much from them!
Thank you Dine Bonte! I appreciate the comment... hoping you can get started soon on your own camper! Cheers!
Both of your trailers are absolutely beautiful. Very nice gentlemen!!!
Thank you ACW! Just got back from another trip and all is working great! Still has the "new camper" smell! LOL!
Y'all are too cool. Nicely done.
Thank ya Brian James! Appreciate you watching!

It has been a great day Joker! Hope you are having a relaxing afternoon! Enjoy!
Jack and Al, your campers look great. You both should be proud. You have been an inspiration for me to consider a similar project.
Thank you Ron! Absolutely... we are both happy with the way they turned out, and having much fun! P.S. The Blazer Torch has proven itself many times over! Thanks again! -al-

Thank you Joker68!! I will let Jack know of your comment! He is very happy with his build for sure! (I know his wife is!!) :)
LOVELY TO SEE THEM BOTH FINISHED GIVE MY GOOD WISHES TO JACK HAVE A GREAT TIME WHEN BOTH START ROCK AND ROLLING WISH I WAS THERE FROM THE UK

Great upload on a Sunday
Awesome! Thank you!
Excellent job on both trailers 👍✌️
Thank you Zoltan!!
Nice job both builds like em both. What is the size of Jacks trailor? 6x12?
Hi FMT! Thank ya, and you got it.... Jack has a 6 x 12 Stealth Cargo Trailer. Working great for him!

What size of trailer did your friend start out with? I really like the layout, with the shower up front.
He began with a 6 x 12 Stealth Cargo Trailer. It turned out great!
I grew up in Central Oregon. Redmond. Where are you guys home based? Although we have a place in Yuma Foothills we still have a mobile in Keizer.
I'm about 30 miles north in Madras. Work in Redmond for the past 16 years. The drive helps wind up for work, and wind down before hitting home!
Amazing builds, how much did the whole project cost you?
Thanks for the question... you can see final cost here: th-cam.com/video/wjP5BYyONsk/w-d-xo.html

You are welcome sir... you will have tons of fun! Build on!

Jack needs a solar setup now, so y'all can get out there and do some real camping in the remote Canadian wilderness
Already have a couple videos of his installation! :)

Hello my friend wonder where di got the sitting metal if can give me some information I will thank you
Hi Carlos... replied to your email, hope the info helps!
Thank you my friend God bless you
Jack may want to add a roof vent at some time I think.
We were just talking about that over the weekend... he definitely wants to install a vent! Got a little warm Sunday evening for him, so he wants a cool breeze! :)
I'm having a hard time to find your TH-cam videos after Part 26 for "Step-by-Step" How to Build a Teardrop Tailer". Could you help me?
:) You'll have to stay tuned for next week.... Still in process of building and upload on Saturday mornin's! Hope you check it out!
No stove?

Where's the toilet, did I miss them?
No toilet... gotta do it the old fashioned way! :) If that is too far away, I do have a portapottie
I STILL WANT TO BUY YOUR CAMPER GO BREAK IT IN AND SELL IT TO ME. BUT I HAVE TO PUT A/C IN IT. GET IT ON BATMAN.
Heading out for third trip this weekend (Solo trip to coast) and looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend! Breaking it in! Haven't had to modify anything so far, and working out just fine!
